Cottage vacation rentals in Clayton

It's a lovely place, very clean and spacious, designed in excellent taste. It's a little too rural, so we had issues with wifi connection several times. on the other hand, David was very attentive and available and solved the problems quickly. It would have been nice to have more clarity about on site boating options. we weren't sure we have access to the deck without disturbing others, and whether there are boats/canoes available. All in all - a lovely place, very nice owner.

Lovely space - just like the pictures. A little tricky to find the first time, but its location is part of what makes it so peaceful. The cottage was perfect for our needs and the hot tub was delightful. David answered all our inquiries promptly and even let us check in early when I asked. We had some issues with the internet service, but that was clearly weather-related. And although he was unable to resolve the issue before we checked out, David was very responsive and reached out to the internet company right away and made every effort to get it fixed.

Loved visiting this place, even in the winter season! The house is warm and incredibly beautiful with full in views of the boats, sea planes and wildlife of the St. Lawrence. It’s so nice to lay in bed on a day off and watch the amazing scenery on the river pass by the massive windows as the sun comes up. The house was incredibly clean and well supplied we quickly and easily found everything we neeed in the kitchen to cook our own meals with the groceries we had delivered. Gerard and David were very friendly hosts, we would happily rent from them again.

Came down for a rugby tournament with a group from Kingston ON. This spot was spacious, clean, very nice and up to date. No issues at all! Would love to come back in the summer once the weather is nicer to enjoy the beautiful yard set up they had.

My personal best Airbnb experience hands down!! The home owners thought of everything, and you have everything you need except for your own personal belongings and sustenance. This is how Airbnb’s used to be back in the day but Ryan and his family’s home have taken it to the next level! Modern, clean, clutter free. They’ve thought of literally everything. Worth every penny. Don’t hesitate. If you’re staying up in the 1000 islands, stay here. No brainer in my book! Thanks, Ryan and fam for a wonderful last minute weekday getaway.

The house and grounds were great, Such a wonderful find for a weekend getaway. Gillian med us upon our arrival and gave us a third walk-through of the property. A very kind and welcoming host. There was an incredible amount of space in this country ranch, both indoors and out. A hot tub was clean and large enough for my group to hang out, picnic tables outside, made for a good barbecue. It was such a short trip to downtown Alexandria Bay, five minutes, it really was a great place to be right next to the heart of it all well not being stuck the rest of the visitors. We all look forward to looking this place again and enjoying the thousand islands

Highly recommended! This was a fantastic cottage for a family gathering. The layout supports a mix of families with its generous arrangement of rooms and beds. The den with pool and foosball tables was extremely popular and the ping pong table in the gym/studio was also a hit. There were plenty of separate sitting areas so that different groups could find their own spaces - or gather all together. The hot tub and sauna were perfect for a winter stay. The cottage had one of the best kitchens I've seen for a large group - the double oven and two fridges made it easy to cook for all 16 of us and there were plenty of plates, utensils and cooking implements. It was extremely well stocked with all the basics including some cereal and coffee which were a huge hit with early risers. I can only imagine how wonderful this cottage would be in the summer as we had a great time here in the midst of winter and never ran out of things to do. Maria is an excellent host and extremely responsive.

what a beautiful place!! beautiful view, very quiet, very private, comfortable bed, plenty of coffees & tees! my dog played with their doggie. very friendly kind people. we enjoyed walking on frozen lake, making fire in the snow. we definitely wanna visit in summer time!

The furniture is clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had all the necessary amenities. We especially liked that there was plenty of space for clothing and belongings, and appreciated the wifi, nice TV and games.

This place is awesome. Stayed for a fishing trip and the host was very accommodating and responsive. We will definitely be back!

We rented this place over the long weekend and just loved it. Robert was a very response host. Everything was perfect. Very spacious place with everything you could possibly need. Very close to town, grocery store and sight seeing. Would definitely recommend and will be going back.

Diane was a very helpful and delightful host. She was very accommodating, as we had a boat and she was very flexible about our time constraint. We would definitely stay there again.

It was a very comfortable and clean place to stay. It is situated in a quiet rural neighborhood with a great view of the water. We found the location to be very peaceful and relaxing. The owner stayed in constant contact with us to make sure that our needs were being met. All in all, it was a great place to spend a few weeks.

I was lucky to come to Isabelle’s place for a family getaway. It was the perfect place for relaxing - it feels very remote and quiet, with tons of cute deer to watch in the evenings, a nice dock for watching the sunset, and a very cozy living space. The ferry rides were also a fun little experience. I was surprised at how many supplies they had stocked the kitchen with, enough for us to try complicated recipes. The latte machine (with milk frother) and complimentary coffee was also a huge bonus! Isabelle was always quick to reply and very helpful when we had any questions, before and during our stay. Definitely hoping to come back soon. Would highly recommend for a secluded and peaceful stay.

We loved our stay here. The house was perfect for my dad and I. We enjoyed the living room and big main bathroom. Lots of options for outdoor seating and the dead end street made it a very quiet/private location. Close to all the Thousand Island destinations we wanted to visit.

We had a great time at Marisa's place. The location was perfect and it was easy to get to. We really enjoyed the large enclosed back porch with the tables and extra fridge for drinks. Marisa was very easy to communicate with - I would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay at this AirBnB, the hosts were extremely friendly and helpful and there was a warm community atmosphere in the neighboring households. The views from the house and the yard were astonishing and the house had everything we needed and was very comfortable. A perfect stay!

A wonderful spot to relax and enjoy. The cottage is cozy and filled with all the little extras that make it feel welcoming. We enjoyed the campfire area many evenings and the smoker/BBQ every night! The covered sitting area was a great spot for meals and the hammock for lazy afternoon naps. The shoreline is a bit weedy but there is a raft further out for swimming.

We spent two fantastic weeks at Francois' cottage in the beautiful 1000 Islands. I was able to keep my Sea-Doo at the dock and explore the 1000 Islands, which was simply amazing. The cottage has pretty much everything you need for a pleasant stay, and it's not far from Rockport, which has a nice waterfront restaurant, or Gananoque or Brockville for groceries or general shopping. Francois was quick to respond to any messages I sent and we had no issues with the cottage whatsoever. We had such a great vacation we can't wait to go back next summer!
