The house was beautiful and the front porch was amazing! Beds were very comfortable. A few suggestions would be to better supply the kitchen with more of a variety of pots and pans, maybe a griddle. None of us could get either tv to work; we all tried and never got anything. The most difficult thing for me were the toilets. They were extremely low and there was nothing to help you get up. We were all older and that was a real problem for us. Everything else was terrific and we truly enjoyed our stay!

We had a truly wonderful time here! Mike was the most amazing host, and greeted us when we arrived. We appreciated the welcome bottle of wine, the cozy cottage, and beautiful yard. Most importantly, I forgot my work laptop when I left, and Mike was so understanding and responsive. He arranged for next-day shipping, which put my distraught mind at ease. I’m so grateful for Mike’s hospitality and trustworthiness! We will absolutely stay here again the next time we are in Asheville. Thank you!!

Christy’s place was very comfortable, quiet, clean, easy to get to. There was a nice coffee bar and snacks, which is all we needed because we didn’t cook. But the kitchen was well equipped for cooking. The beds were very comfortable and the furniture in living room as well. A nice desk for working and a real nice little front porch to sit outside on. Back yard was fenced in and grass cut. Was perfect for dogs, had I brought mine as planned. I would stay again for sure!

As the Berne’s esteemed guests during Hurricane Helene, I can confidently say we had a 1-of-a-kind experience at the Upper Chalet. This home and the neighbors we met while clearing trees will always have a special place in my heart and memory. We were very grateful for the host checking on us multiple times as they could and being flexible about check out. You can definitely walk/hike to downtown. Hoping we get to experience a more peaceful stay at the chalet once the hurricane relief efforts have reached the hillside.

I’ll admit, we did get a little lost trying to find the place at first, but once we read Milly’s directions we found it right away! The place was spotless and accessibility was great. It was right down the road from town so we didn’t have to go far at all for any activities or sight seeing. Milly was an amazing host, always very kind and helpful as well as quick to respond. Will definitely consider staying again the next time we come to visit!
