Family-friendly vacation rentals in Centretown, Ottawa

My husband, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at this lovely loft. The pool table is a great edition for extra fun. The view of the river was beautiful and peaceful and we had a private entrance. Thank you Dennis for a wonderful trip, we hope to come back soon😁

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property! Excellent communication from Patricia for directions, check-in access, and details about the unit. Well appointed decor and amenities, super-clean, and very comfortable beds! Perfect central location for quick access to downtown (15 min) and generally for the area. The home is very spacious and offered a great space for our family of four as a base for site-seeing and to just hang out by the pool and hot tub (and BBQ!) when we felt like it. Highly recommended. Pierre’s home is lovely and well appointed. It was exactly as the photos depict. The home was spotless upon arrival and Pierre was easily reached to answer any questions. Our family of 4 was very comfortable. It was nice to be near nature but also near amenities and a short drive to downtown Ottawa.

I had an absolutely fantastic stay at this property! From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by the warm and welcoming ambiance. The place is immaculately clean, tastefully decorated, and equipped with all the amenities you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. The host went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their attention to detail, responsiveness, and thoughtful touches really stood out. The location is unbeatable—conveniently situated close to all the key attractions yet nestled in a peaceful area, providing a perfect balance of relaxation and accessibility. The cozy atmosphere and stunning views made it hard to leave! I highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a memorable and stress-free getaway. I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat!

Emily’s house was a dream and is highly recommended. Our family of 5 (with 3 kids under 10) spent a week at Emily’s house while in Ottawa to help out a family member. We were so grateful for Emily’s hospitality. As we were there during yet another wave of the pandemic, coupled with virtual school, we were basically in lockdown at the house - it could have been a very unpleasant week. Instead, it was truly wonderful to have Emily’s beautiful home to feel grounded in. The house was clean, comfortable, exactly as represented in the pictures, and we were struck by the attention to detail. The communication with Emily was perfect. After a week in the house, we joked about staying a week longer! There is no doubt that we will return.

We stayed at Michaels for 4 weeks as we are new to Canada. The location is unmatched, private entrance straight onto a park and the river, and squirrels as neighbours. The space has everything you could want, cooking utensils, a toaster oven and microwave, coffee machine, toaster and kettle. It also has 2 hobs for cooking. Honestly perfect for a long term stay. The bed is huge and the bathroom has a bath and shower, full washer dryer too. The living space was really comfortable, TV and all the apps you could need. What stood out the most was Michael and his family, they were so welcoming and knowledgeable about the area, had great recommendations and were overall great people to have around if you are new to the area. We couldn’t have had a better first experience of Ottawa if we tried!

We had a wonderful stay. Very quiet neighbourhood. Great location and the rental was spotless and had everything needed for a perfect stay. We would stay here again without any hesitation.

James place was excellent. He left clear and detailed instructions, with pictures, for gaining entry to the condo. The condo was clean and well kept. The building is quiet and clean as well. James left a list of things to do in the neighbourhood, food, shopping etc. which came in handy. The bed was super comfy. The neighbourhood offers plenty to do...all within walking distance. There is no dedicated parking spot, only 2 visitor spots, but we had no problem getting a spot on either of the days we stayed. We were out during the day but both days when we returned around 4pm parking spots were available. I would definitely stay at James' place again in the future.

Lovely stay at Hannah's place in Westboro. Very child friendly, with a toy kitchen, baby gate at the stairs, high chair and portable crib available. Master bedroom is very large, lots of space to set up the crib. There is also a park a very short walk down the road.

Very homey and comfortable. Kristina was an excellent host—helpful and available to assist whenever we needed anything. The house was very clean and the neighbourhood peaceful. It was a great option for us to have a place to stay that was pet-friendly. Our dog loved it. Would absolutely recommend, and would definitely come again.

The house was beautiful, very clean, clear instructions, and was exactly as described. Allowed us to enjoy our US Thanksgiving holiday week. We would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed a lovely thanksgiving at Nancy's property. The pictures do not do the listing justice; each room is stunning, well furnished, and stocked with everything you might need. There are many books, games, CDs and TV channels for guests to enjoy. The kitchen is particularly fabulous, we had the pleasure of cooking thanksgiving dinner during our stay and had every vessel and utensil that we might need. As other guests have noted, there are many stairs to traverse up to the chalet, which may be difficult for some. The stairs up to the loft are also a bit tricky, so would advise future guests to consider that before booking. This was not as issue for us, but may be for other guests. Nancy herself is very responsive and communicative, which made our stay even better. Thank you, Nancy!

The land alone is worth renting. We rented this house for work, there were 6 of us and we were very comfortable. The area is very quiet, which was perfect for us. I would recommend it in a second.
