Wonderful place. Better than the photos. The place is very close to the lake and the sunsets are beautiful. Lovely fireplaces that heat the place well (gets pretty cold at night). A few things I wish I had known: There is not an oven. The place is off grid and you need to turn the water on as soon as you get there. You need to conserve electricity as it’s run on solar. Definitely would recommend and we hope to come back again!

Hamlet Downs is a fabulous place to stay. We ordered some of Trish’s dinners and soups each night and they were delicious and a real treat to come back to after walking at Mt Field. Russell Falls tracks are so close only 15 minutes away and it was a nice extra to have a farm to wander around. Really recommend this as a place to stay.

Absolutely superb! Picker’s Hut exceeded our expectations in every way. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a luxurious getaway. Karen and Andrew's impeccable attention to detail has created a truly cosy and indulgent retreat. And the views are breathtaking!

We had such an amazing time at this spot in the unique Bus home. It was super peaceful, really private, and just so comfortable — perfect for couples wanting to switch off and relax. It felt like we were in our own little world, surrounded by nature. The hot tub was an absolute highlight — soaking in it in the fresh sunset was honestly magic. Such a perfect way to end the day and made the whole experience even more special. The host was awesome — super friendly, helpful, and always quick to reply if we needed anything. You can tell they really care about making the stay great. We left feeling so relaxed and already talking about when we can come back. Honestly, would love to stay here again and again!

Melinda's farm cottage exceeded all our expectations. It was cozy, peaceful, and surrounded by stunning scenery. We were greeted each morning by the chickens at the front door and often saw cows roaming the fields. The mountain views were breathtaking! The kitchen had everything we needed, including condiments, cookware, and utensils, making it easy to prepare a home-cooked meal. The fireplace was a wonderful touch, especially on the colder nights. The photos don’t do the cottage justice, it was the perfect place to relax, unplug, and recharge. It was also the special spot where my partner proposed, making our stay even more memorable. We would highly recommend Melinda’s cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable getaway 🙂!!

This place smelt divine, like Huon pine. It was very well set up and although there were houses reasonable close, we never heard a thing. Very comfy beds and at first i wondered if we would be warm enough with no electric blankets or hot water bottles... but WOW. The doonas were so warm. Snug as a bug in a rug. There was plenty of fire wood and the wood stove did a great job of warming the whole place. Would highly recommend to anyone. On another note, on the first night we went for dinner at the Miena hotel. Very disappointed in that. (Dry salmon and trout tasteless)

Always a perfect stay. Have now stayed 4 times now, will be staying again in future without a doubt. Thanks again as always!

Such a cute little Cottage in the countryside. The fire was all set up & provided us with a true country experience. There was lots of little hourly extras & an amazing amount of helpful information. The beds & pillows were very comfortable & the kitchen was well equipped.

We had a wonderful three-night stay at The Doctors. Nicole and Dave have created a peaceful retreat, thoughtfully designed so that everything you could need is right at your fingertips. Whether you're looking for activities or just want to unwind, it’s the perfect spot. We spent our time reading, fishing, running, exploring the local surroundings and getting to know the delightful Dale - resident sheep. We’d absolutely love to return to hopefully catch the illusive trout. Thank you for sharing this special place with us!
