House vacation rentals in Carter County

We recently spent 5 days at Peaceful Peak, and cannot recommend it enough! Jennifer and Travis are responsive and friendly, they truly want you to enjoy the home. The house is on top of a mountain, spacious, and beautifully decorated. I told my husband if we move to the area, I may just hire Jennifer as my interior decorator! Everything is top-notch and super clean with a beautiful view. The digital guide Jennifer provides is very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Peaceful Peak, and know you will too!

Marks place was perfect for a ski getaway. Well stocked with everything we needed. Ideally located near Sugar and Beech mountain. The photos did not do it justice, the view was magnificent and the deck space was amazing. Enjoyed peaceful mornings on the deck overlooking the lake.

This was my second time staying here. Chris is always very nice and helpful. I’m looking forward to staying a third time ! Thank you Chris for allowing me to stay in this wonderful home !

Fairway to Heaven is beautiful and in an amazing location - minutes to the base of Beech Mountain. We were there during the last snow fall, and it was truly gorgeous overlooking the snow covered golf course. Tim and Amie were wonderful hosts - they were quick to respond to any questions we had. We look forward to staying with them again!

We had a great stay at Jared's place. Everything was very comfortable -- and the bathrooms and kitchen were super-clean, which was great. It was a very quiet community (winter), and the houses are placed for privacy/good views. The club also had very helpful staff, a nice pool, and a good gym. We were happy there was no ice or snow when we were there, as the driveway is steep. A convenient location related to Boone, Blowing Rock, etc. -- everything seemed about 20 minutes away. Jared was also generous on check-out time for us. And we appreciated the very simple check-out procedure.

Amy’s home was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. It was in a very quiet and peaceful area. Perfect for a weekend getaway!

Great place. Clean, felt like home. Great things to do near by. When I had questions, Christian responded immediately. This was my first Airbnb rental. Excellent experience, I hope he’ll have us back!

We absolutely loved our stay. It's hard to believe we were only there for the weekend with all the memories we made. Our first night in the house we were already planning future stays. This is the best Airbnb I've ever stayed in, and I look forward to visiting again.

Jessica was a very responsive and accommodating host! Her place was welcoming and very clean. The location is off the beaten path but gave us an option that was close to family we were visiting.

You couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place in every way. Host was some of the friendliest people you will ever encounter. More than helpful in every way. Absolutely beautiful place to stay with wildlife abundant. I would highly recommend for anyone to come visit if nothing else more than to spend a couple days but be warned…. You won’t want to leave

The house is beautiful, spacious, and clean, and was perfect for our small retreat. It also had a few toys available for my little one. The location definitely suited our needs. I would recommend it to a family/ small group/ anyone needing a place to stay near bristol or johnson city. There is a train that passes close by, but otherwise it's a very peaceful place to stay! This was our second time staying at this property in the main house, and it was absolutely fantastic again. I plan to come back again whenever I can find the time. The hosts are very kind and helpful, and there isnt a thing I would change about the house! I only wish I had more time there.

A really nice quiet neighborhood. We enjoyed the screened in porch and watching the ducks. It had ample parking. The inside was beautifully decorated and had plenty of games, books, and tv's.

We had the absolute best day at this Airbnb there are far a few many in between that look like the pictures this one looked exactly like the pictures we had all of the amenities felt just like home . Will definitely recommend and give this place a 10 star review if we could so much to do in the area so beautiful peaceful we even saw deer wild turkeys bunnies and snow.

Good location with great views from the decks. A nice woodland setting with excellent wifi. Also close to the city: basketball court 15 min, Walmart 15 min, good Indian food 20 min. I preferred Zaap Lai to the other Thai restaurant I tried. Barking dogs were an annoyance some days. Some days the barking dogs were limited to under 30 minutes, but some days they were barking for hours. If that noise doesn't bother you it is a great location. Even if it does (I am bothered by such noise) it is still a good location it just is less peaceful than my previous stay due to the barking. It really is a spectacular location to enjoy nature.

The Eagle Nest cabin was such a beautiful and peaceful place to stay. The host, Ricky, was always available, proactive, and helpful. The cabin is stunning and also pet friendly! There’s two cute farm cats to greet you daily! The house is nearby Watagua Lake and getting out on the water was the highlight of our trip😊.

The house is a beautifully remodeled older home. The antiques remind me of some furniture my grandmother and great aunt possessed. It was fun to remember a song on the piano that my sister and I played on our family's piano when we were youngsters. The bed in the downstairs bedroom is very comfortable. It provided me with one of the best night's sleep I'd had in several days. Great hot water and pressure in the shower. I felt safe in the neighborhood and in the house. Would definitely consider staying here again.

Great location if you’re traveling to the area for Bristol Motor Speedway (about 15-20 min away). Lots of local restaurants (we liked The Black Olive) and close to supermarkets and fast food. This was the CLEANEST place I’ve ever stayed. Space is decorated well and is fully stocked with anything you could need. Location felt private and safe. Angel is very attentive and friendly as well! Will stay here again if we are in the area.

This place is peaceful. The check-in and check-out process was easy to navigate. This was super relaxing. We are planning a getaway for our family and this is the perfect place. Don't miss out on this gem.
