Cottage vacation rentals in Carolina Beach

We loved the house and the proximity to the beach. We only walked to the beach once for the sunrise, but spent the rest of the time in the house. We loved that each room was spacious, clean, and had a bathroom for each room.

The space was exactly as described and Diane was super responsive and helpful. The kids loved the hot tub, there were tons of unexpected amenities (waffle maker! Cupcake liners!) which made for more breakfast and snack options. Be sure to plan for renting a car - while there is a nice restaurant next door, you’ll need it to get around. I would recommend planning a stop to the carnivorous plant garden while you’re in town!

Had a perfect weekend. Home is beautiful, comfortable, AMAZING sunrises, relaxing hottub, just a few steps to the ocean, very private. So nice not having to drag coolers etc to the beach. Just carry a chair and a beverage for a lovely day. Walk a few steps back to house if you need anything.

Bryan's place definitely felt like a little home away from home on the beach. It's a quaint cottage, packed with essentials and was just the right size for us two. I was very thankful for its size and no stairs when I unfortunately sprained my ankle on day 2 of our vacation and had to hobble around in crutches the rest of the time! Even though you're right off the main road, there was no noise and was pretty quiet and peaceful. Beach access is right down the road and very easily walkable, or hobbable. The hot tub was a great plus to relax in after a long night. Bryan was very communicative and prompt with questions we had prior to booking. Check-in was very easy and check-out instructions were very reasonable and clear. Overall a great stay that we would definitely book again!

One of the best airbnbs we’ve stayed at. Everything was exactly as described. It’s about 20 minutes from downtown Wilmington but absolutely worth it for the privacy and seclusion we wanted for our anniversary weekend. You could tell Kristy was thoughtful in making sure we felt right at home. We will for sure be staying here when we’re in the area again.

We absolutely loved our stay at this house! It was in the perfect location — just a short walk to the beach, which made everything so easy. The house was super clean and had everything we needed. We used the hot tub every day and it was such a relaxing way to wind down. The beds were really comfortable and everyone slept great. We spent our evenings watching movies together and cooking meals — the kitchen had plenty of dishes and tools to make that easy. We had to find this place last minute, and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. The host was so nice and responsive to any needs we had. It really made the experience stress-free. Would definitely stay here again!

The Whimsy Whale is a charming cottage, beautifully appointed, pristine and in a lovely peaceful neighborhood. It truly is steps from an easy beachfront access point. The large fenced backyard provides privacy as well as a lovely area for relaxation for we for humans and our two whippets. I can honestly say this has been the best AirBnB experience I have had! I definitely plan to return!

This place was so peaceful and cozy. The house is beautiful and feels like home from the moment you walk in. Very quiet neighborhood, great fenced yard with pavers for dogs to play without the mess of mud, and great area to hose off beside the house so we were never tracking in muddy paws or sand. We visited with our three large dogs and even they felt so relaxed almost immediately. The house is spacious and has a lot of character. We loved looking at the art. The hosts are very hospitable and so kind. It is so hard to find places that are truly dog- friendly and as clean and comfortable as this one. We had a very special stay and will definitely be back.

My family and I had an amazing stay! As soon as we walked in the place smelled so clean. The owner responds super fast and I didn’t even have to bother him for anything. I can’t wait to book my next stay!

We had a wonderful stay over Spring Break. Just a short walk to the beautiful beach, which was never crowded. My husband and son fished off of the floating dock and caught a spot fish, several blue fish, and a flounder. We also were able to catch some crabs in the crab trap. We left the trap there for future visitors to enjoy. The weather was perfect. There are restaurants, ice cream, and a small market 2-3 minutes from the house or you can drive a little further to Surf City for more choices. Cheryl was responsive and proactive. We will definitely be back!

We loved our week at Blue Turtle Cottage! It’s bright, clean and charming. Just a short walk to the beach. Leslie and Kay were lovely hosts. We’d definitely come back if our plans bring us to OKI. The king bed is super comfy!. Thanks for hosting us! 💙🐢

We had such a great stay at Wendie & Katy's Airbnb! The place was exactly as described – clean, cozy, and beautifully decorated. The location was perfect for our needs. The communication with Wendie and Katy was fantastic; they were responsive, friendly, and made sure I had everything I needed for a smooth check-in and stay. I didn't get to see much of the beach but the location of this place wasn't too blame! I went off season, and still a bit chilly but place is super walkable to the local fare and attractions (including the beach). Space was clean and cozy.

Absolutely loved this cottage! It was beautiful, with so many nice touches. Very and welcoming and so comfortable. The owner, Gretchen, was so easy to work with and accommodating. I highly recommend this place and plan to stay there again!

We really enjoyed our stay. The house has a 'beachy' feel to it and we felt relaxed and in beach mode the second we walked in. The path to the beach was right across the street from the house and the beach location is hard to beat....simply magnificent. Everything we needed from Publix to restaurants was just minutes away. I stayed for a long weekend with my mother and six year old daughter and we all loved it. It was extremely clean and comfortable. We really appreciated how communicative the hosts were, going out of their way to accommodate us and make us feel welcome. We will definitely return!

We stayed a month in this air bnb while our condo was getting finished . Marla was very kind and always answered if we had a question. This was a great place to stay. our Grand daughter came for over night visit and we visited the park right down the street. We got to check out beautiful views at The marina. Marla place was so clean and pet friendly for our golden doodle. We were glad to find this place . I would refer anyone to stay at this nice cottage hosted by Marla she is a awesome host.

The decor was lovely, and the amenities were exactly what we needed for a comfortable and stress-free vacation. We have stayed at Mike’s beach house for the last five years and I can’t imagine staying anywhere else. The house is charming and the view is fabulous. There are a number of good restaurants near by as well. Mike is a great host!

The Yellow Cottage was our top choice for this area based on affordability, privacy, and most importantly- it was perfect for our puppies. The home was very welcoming. Within minutes of unloading our car, my wife and I felt that we could immediately sit down and relax from our long drive while our dogs stretched their legs in the backyard. That kind of feeling is hard to describe fully in words and hard to come by on top of that. The host, Joseph, promptly responded and addressed a couple issues we had during our stay. He went beyond the call of duty with his assistance which was much appreciated. We’re definitely staying here again in the future!

Beautiful beach cottage. We appreciate the thoughtful consideration of pets and family needs, with all the little touches and details that are often not found in a space that’s pet friendly. We immediately felt at home and relaxed. We frequently visited BHI a couple times a year during the off season, the island’s most quiet time. Thank you for sharing your special place with us! The East Beach/Cape Fear Station is our favorite location; close walking distance to the prettiest beach past quaint forested bungalows. My husband thoroughly enjoyed the golf cart-the nicest we have had access to so far.
