Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in Carlsbad

Jeff’s place was perfect for work trip to San Diego. I was looking for an upscale hotel with a kitchen (suite) and a nice gym and couldn’t find anything that fit the bill. Their unit met all of my needs while giving me access to Balboa park for early morning running. Will definitely return when I’m in San Diego next. Thanks to both of you!

Steven is a fantastic host! We enjoyed our stay and the beautiful area very much! We even hiked with goats at sunset one day and what a treat! A great adventure and beautiful weather all week!!

If you’re thinking about booking this air bnb, absolutely do it. This place is even more beautiful than the pictures & descriptions. I wish I could live here! My partner & I stayed here for our anniversary, and we wish we could’ve stayed longer. The unit itself is absolutely gorgeous, spacious, and clean. I’m a clean freak, so cleanliness is highly important to me, and this place was fantastic. The kitchen is beautiful and fully stocked with everything you need to make home-cooked meals. The bed is massive & comfortable. The bathroom is beautiful with a lovely large bathtub and the most amazing steam shower. (I never knew I wanted a steam shower until now, and I would book this place again just for the shower!) The resort is beautiful and has a very peaceful, elevated atmosphere that we loved. The private pool & jacuzzi were a nice touch. We walked to the Starbucks just down the road which was nice. The owners were very proactive with instructions and made everything smooth & easy!

Ben was an incredible host and his place was absolutely beautiful. My New Years would have not been as great if it weren’t for Ben and his place. 10/10 would recommend!

Such a great getaway location! Quick and easy access to the beach, walkable distance to multiple restaurants, quick and easy access to interstate for a couple day trips to San Diego. Amenities were helpful and convenient, including multiple things for our young kids to do. Would love to come stay again!

All-in-all nice vacation spot. You can always find something to complain (i.e. musty odor mentioned in the previous review is a fact but everybody has a different tolerance level). Bikes are GREAT addition to the experience as you can almost drop using your car unless to stock up in Trader Joe's. Sandra is very welcoming host, instructions are clear and precise.

What a lovely condo, view and property! The condo was clean, nicely decorated, well kept and had all the comforts of home. We appreciated the attention to detail including comfortable bedding, fully stocked kitchen, chairs, wagon and towels for the beach, golf clubs & balls for the mini putting green. The unit has a beautiful view of the ocean from the balcony and bedroom. Falling asleep to the sound of the ocean was the best. The property is a tropical oasis located perfectly between the harbor and pier. It also has a great gym and rec ctr with a pool table. Great accommodations in Solana Beach! Perfect for our family of five. Easy beach access and walkable into town. Well stocked and very responsive host. Will definitely be back.

This location is amazing! I have stayed in many places in Oceanside but this was hands down the best yet. It is close to the best beach for surfing in the area, walking distance to the Harbor and downtown restaurants, and right off the highway for easy access. The complex is a beautiful garden with an excellent work out area and many other amenities. Paul's place is nice, although showing a little age around the edges. We had a little trouble getting in initially due to a policy change at the complex but Paul answered his phone and quickly solved this. I would highly recommend this rental.

Great space that is close to the beach. The complex is well maintained. Imran communicated well with us and personally walked us through the condo to make sure we were satisfied. Beach chairs, sand toys all provided. Close to Camp Pendleton and some great restaurants. Would book again and highly recommend!

John is the MAN. So accommodating and just an all out solid neighbor! Our family was experiencing an unfortunate water leak in our home, and had to move out for a period of time, John welcomed us with such open arms into his beautiful La Mesa home. Although we only stayed there for three nights, my wife, and girls and I enjoyed memorable s'mores nights and endless dart games. Transitioning from your familiar home and routines can be hard for kids, but John and his home made it such an easy transition and comfortable space that we all found peace. We would recommend this quaint little escape to anyone local or visiting San Diego. Thank you again John for your communication and your incredible hospitality. I hope we cross paths again soon!

Great location! The checkin process was smooth, however the garage key couldn’t work at that time. The rooms are clean but in the bathroom we smelled some cigarettes smoke, but we are not sure if it is coming from the neighbors. Overall a great stay in San Marco, Kim was quick with response and welcoming. :)

We loved this home so much, we came back for a 2nd time, to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. This modern gem is beautifully laid out, with lots of space for a family. It offers breathtaking rooftop views of the coast and stunning sunsets. Diana was an incredible host; helpful and accommodating! We highly recommend this beautiful home to anyone seeking a relaxing and luxurious getaway.

Clean and comfortable, had everything we needed to stay for several days over the holidays. Location is very convenient to the freeway, walkable to nearby restaurants. The yard is just awesome and our dogs loved it. Nice parking space for our car. Checking in and out was easy and the hosts provided clear communication. Would stay again!

We loved our stay! We came from LA with another family. We loved the proximity to Legoland, the spacious rooms, and the kids’ amenities: toys, bunk beds, high chair, and crib! We made a lot of core memories here!!! The kids still talk about their time here, and they keep asking if they can go back to San Diego! The house is close to Encinitas as well, where we enjoyed delicious and authentic Mexican food, and we went grass sledding at Olympus Park. This neighborhood is such a unique special place. Family escape was such a fun stay! Great home base for Legoland and the Safari Park. The hot tub and pool (heated for a fee) were amazing and we put the pool toys and floaties to good use. The entire backyard looked and felt like a private resort, with mini golf, soccer/volley ball, lounges, conversation pits, and a grill and bar area. The games and arcade kept everyone entertained. The kitchen met our basic needs as we enjoyed local takeout. We were grateful for the host provided laundry supplies and clear instructions and communication about how to use keep the pool and hot tub heated for our winter visit. The host was immediately responsive and sent someone to fix the spa when we couldn't work the lights and jets the first day. We had no other problems all week!
