We absolutely loved our stay here! Lovely location and a very well kept annex with everything we needed. Perfect for what we wanted! WiFi was a bit temperamental, but that's the countryside!! Would definitely be back!

We enjoyed our 2 nights break at Tom's apartment in historic Orton Hall. It had an impressive atmosphere in the building and the overall property and grounds were very peacefull. Just a pity weather was wet and cold. A good base for lake district shopping and exploration.

We had such a fantastic time staying here! It was absolutely spotless, really well-equipped, and super comfy – even the bathroom was great, which isn’t always the case with glamping. The location is stunning, with gorgeous views and some amazing walks right from the doorstep. It was the perfect mix of being out in nature but still having all the little comforts that make a stay special. I honestly couldn’t have asked for more and would 100% love to come back. Highly recommend!

The three of us had a great time in Keswick. The lake district is beautiful. The town Keswick is beautiful too. And the house is the ideal place as a base for an active holiday with coziness in and around the house. You can walk from the house within a minute to the nice shopping streets but also to the amazing lake. The house was big enough for the tree of us.

A beautiful house! Pristine, clean and had everything we needed for 5 people. The kitchen was well stocked with pans, crockery etc. Comfortable beds and plenty of room for our family! Loved the decor!It is in a perfect spot, central and a great base to explore the area. Julia was welcoming and very responsive with messages! We loved our stay and can’t wait to visit again!

It was beautiful. It required minimum nights stay. So I booked a night we didn’t use. If you want ambiance and a beautiful English feel, you’ll love the place as I did. It was very difficult with all the instructions on turning everything on and off at the main switches every single time you used the stove, microwave or shower water. And I was disappointed that there was even a little coffee or a tea bag to have a cup of tea upon arrival. Not even a second trash bag or roll of toilet paper. It just completely lacked any necessary items. Not one! So I probably wouldn’t use them again. That being said, the ambiance of the place was fantastic and I loved the community sitting area. Very glad for the experience and truly believe you should give it a try! The beauty was worth it. Once. And you may fall absolutely in love with it and visit many times.

Great place to stay, central location, loads of local amenities on your doorstep, very nicely decorated with loads of space. I'd definitely recommend this property as it's amazing value for the rate being charged. I'll normally be in Carlisle a couple of times a year and will definitely try to book CJs property before looking at anything else.

What a lovely apartment and dog friendly! Great communication, easy to find and access, great location for what we needed. Very clean, lovely decor and furnishing, great bathroom and both bedrooms were comfortable and warm. Highly recommended.

Fantastic property in a peaceful area of Portinscale ,easy walking distance into Keswick,the designated parking place was an added bonus. I’m a single traveller with no dogs,the apartment had no smell of dogs,no dog hairs and was spotlessly clean. The shower cubicle was a good size ,the shower was easy to operate either rainfall or normal shower head with great water pressure. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you would need to either make yourself a snack or to cook yourself a meal. The bed linen and towels were lovely and fresh and the bed was lovely and comfortable, overall the apartment was home from home. Did a number of walks on Saturday and Sunday,Derwent circular walk,Cat Bells and Latrigg,will definitely be returning to attempt Scafell and Skiddaw. Overall I would highly recommend this apartment

This was our 2nd stay at Paul's place. Its a lovely peaceful apartment, immaculately presented and just a short walk to the town center. Paul's communication was spot on and the bread, milk and little birthday cake were appreciated. I have already recommended Paul's placd to family members.

A wonderful place to go and relax. The surrounding area is stunning and is only a short drive to either Keswick and Penrith. I would highly recommend you stay if you are after a rural retreat.

Can't recommend Kim's place enough! The location is perfect - absolutely loved sitting out on the terrace just listening to the water and looking for red squirrels (we saw one a couple of times!) Very comfy and clean inside too.

Judith was fantastic from start to finish. Friendly, proactive, helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better host. The accommodation was beautifully decorated, lovely spacious bedrooms and nicely finished bathrooms!

Ideally located for a wide range of hikes, great base for walkers, had everything needed for a short stay. Pictures and description accurate, everything spotlessly clean. Easy to find and park with clear instructions, which made sense on arrival. Carmen sent lots of info over the app with recommendations which is always appreciated. We only stayed one night but I would definitely use her retreat again when walking in the lakes. Thank you.

Exactly as it says! A really lovely apartment right in the heart of Keswick. Very comfortable and cosy beds. The apartment wasn’t cold as some others had described and was certainly warm enough for us. George took the time to contact us to check we had settled in ok. We paid for a later check out which was pretty seamless. In all excellent!

Frank's flat was cozy, inviting, and full of thoughtful touches. Whether you're just passing though or in Carlisle for a few days this flat is in a quiet area that is perfectly located to walk around the town. Frank and his cohost were quick to respond to any queries I had (approximately 10 minutes each time). Thank you for hosting me.

We loved every minute of our stay and nothing was a bother to Mary. We were sent a lot of information before our arrival and Mary even took the time to inform us on the day that the cottage was ready early and we could check in as we pleased and also accommodating a late check out at no extra cost. The cottage was well equipped and we were supplied with tea ..coffee and some extra special biscuits along with fresh milk in the fridge on arrival which was really thoughtful. The bed was super cosy, bedding spotlessly clean and towels were super soft and fluffy . We did spend time on the outside patio which was relaxing and peaceful .There is absolutely nothing negative i have to say about my stay i will definitely be returning for another stay

Elaine's apartment has probably the best views to the Fells of anyone in Ambleside. It is also fitted out to a very high standard. Elaine has thought of everything to make your holiday unforgettable.

A wonderful 5 nights spent in Ben's apartment. The views from the bedroom and living room were stunning - lovely to wake up to and come home to at the end of the day. The apartment had everything that was needed for our stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bedding and towels felt like high quality. The walk to Keswick town centre was an easy 20 minutes along a scenic route. Our only criticism of the location was the noise from the road - we hadn't realised the apartment was on such a busy road when we booked. Otherwise a very comfortable bright apartment with excellent communication from Ben regarding all aspects for our stay - the link to guest information before our arrival was particularly helpful.

The apartment was clean, well equipped and comfy which made our stay enjoyable. We enjoyed exploring Annan and the surrounding area, in particular walking along the River Annan. Communication with the host was very easy.

Great apartment, was in an ideal location for exploring the Lake District for the first time. Bed was comfy, the air fryer was a great addition, and the bath was perfect after long hikes. Would absolutely stay again!
