Vacation rentals in Cape Santa Maria

The house is situated across a small road from the beach so it’s a short track through a vacant lot. The track is definitely worth it…the beach is spectacular!! The house was comfortable and cozy. Mr. Miller is the caretaker and was wonderful ❤️. Cindy is very responsive and helpful. My only suggestion is nicer cookware and cooking utensil would have been appreciated since there not a lot of restaurants near and you end up cooking most meals. All the pots, pans are pealing off the Teflon, stainless steal would have been a better choice. There is bottles water at the house and that was so thoughtful. The pool is not heated wasn’t used as much. The pool was cleaned eveyother day, that was very nice. The view from house is a partial of the ocean, blocked by new house being built in front. Despite all that I would highly recommend this lovely beach home. One note the bugs are bad at dusk and dawn, the house had bug spray which helped tremendously. Tropic of Cancer beach is amazing!!

Beautiful home, very tasteful, clean and private. Can’t say enough positives about Jeremiah’s home on Long Island, Bahamas! Our family had a lovely stay and we highly recommend this home if you need a great place to stay on the island. Thompson Bay/Salt Pond/ McCann area is our favorite area on Long Island. Close to lunch or dinner at Tiny’s, plus there is a terrific grocery store in Salt Pond. Be sure to visit Dean’s Blue Hole, Hamilton’s Cave, and your choice of many Atlantic side beaches. My fiance and I stayed at Casa de Bahamas for a full week and absolutely loved everything about the trip and the house! The space is very roomy and could easily fit more people. The house is conveniently located ~20 minutes from the Stella Maris Airport and a short drive to the grocery store and other popular destinations on the island. The home itself is very well kept and fully stocked with everything you need for a beach vacation (sunscreen, towels, bugspray, kayaks, paddleboards, floaties). The kitchen is also equipped with everything you need. We were blown away by the beach and the natural beauty of the outdoor space. The island itself is very quiet and you practically have the beach to yourself - it's a perfect spot to unplug and get away from the hustle and bustle. We met many ocean friends including, starfish, sea turtles and a stingray! A few things not noted: - The outdoor space has a firepit that included a bundle of firewood - the stars at night were the best we have ever seen! - Dmitri connected us with a rental car option about a week before our trip which was very convenient - highly recommend renting a car, be sure to bring cash to pay for the car rental. - The island and the home are surrounded by natural beauty and with that comes outdoor friends - sand mites at dawn and dusk, we also ran into small scorpions outside. We didn't have a problem with bugs indoors and the house is stocked with bug spray. - The flowers and bird feeders bring around tons of hummingbirds which was a lovely surprise. - The pool is deeper than we thought and is a saltwater pool which we liked. We highly recommend Casa de Bahamas and can't wait to return!!!

Centrally located to both the north and south ends of the island. Close to the primary gas station and food store. Great view of both the Atlantic and Caribbean sea.

We stayed at Katie's place for 8 days. Katie was a very responsive host, who was available to contact should we have needed anything. Check in was a breeze, and once we arrived, we felt very at home. The house was exactly as described and in a beautiful, quiet and peaceful area. We could see the ocean from the deck, and having our morning coffee there was just perfect! The bed was very comfortable, and we had everything that we needed. We were in walking distance of Tropic of Cancer beach, which was just great for a late afternoon walk. There are two great restaurants, Santana's & Tropic Breeze a short drive from the house. We loved being at the far end of the island, and although it's farther from groceries, we didn't find this an issue. It's a great trade-off for a quieter area. There are also a couple great smaller stores close by if we needed beer or water, or other small items. We had an amazing trip and were very happy with our stay!

Cem was a great host. very informative and extremely responsive. His staff was amazing. His house manager Monique was very helpful in all aspects of our trip. She helped us stock the house with provisions, arrange transportation and book excursions. Cem has a very nice boat on the island as well. We went on 3 excursions and saw everything exuma had to offer. His boat staff Darren and Damien were awesome too! They did everything they could to make sure we had a great time and had everything we needed and more!! We will definitely be back!!
