Apartment vacation rentals in Canouan

If you are looking for a sign to book...this is it! Prospect House was the perfect setting for our weekend getaway. From the moment we booked, Wendy was very helpful and warm, upon arrival our stay was made extra special by the addition of thoughtful touches for the birthday celebration, including Happy Birthday decorations and a bottle of champagne. The room was tastefully decorated with modern finishes, providing everything we needed. It was clean, spacious, and felt very homely. Each morning, we enjoyed breathtaking views during breakfast and had delightful conversations with our host, Dominic, who was always eager to assist with anything we needed. From relaxing in the pool or hammock to watching the garden and its abundant wildlife, every moment of our stay was enjoyable. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Sherwin was extremely helpful and picked us up from the ferry. The apartment has a great view over tyrell bay and it’s close to many restaurants and supermarkets. He also took us to see and snorkel on the nearby islands: saline and white island. He promised we would swim with turtles and we did! Was amazing. The apartment is comfortable and the windows have mosquito nets but there are many many mosquitos (since it was raining in the mornings) and we suggested a mosquito net (or bring your own since there are many hooks in the walls). Overall was a really nice stay at Carriacou. Thank you Sherwin!

The accommodation was fantastic. It felt like home, very clean and comfortable. Pat was always communications, ensuring we were fine. She is a wonderful host. We had a wonderful welcome from Dexter who showed us around and explained how to use the home amenities. The supermarket and bars and restaurants are close by. I would highly recommend this accommodation.

This place is as beautiful as it looks. It will not disappoint you. The view is breathtaking.

Hurricane Beryl hit Carriacou while we were there. The entire island is devastated. Hosts Scott & Reniza went above & beyond to keep us safe and provided alternative lodging when their place was storm damaged. Good people. We pray for them & all the people in Carriacou.

Isla Vista Apartment was great. Jacqueline and Neville saved our trip. After checking into a different AIRBNB on the island we wanted to get out immediately. We called Jacqueline who immediately answered and within 15 minutes we were at Isla Vista with Neville greeting us. The apartment was immaculate. The views we wondered, Conch restaurant 5 minute walk below directly on the beach. They say Canouan is the place Billionaires go to get away from millionaires. If your not a billionaire, you need to stay at Isla Vista Apartments!

I enjoyed my stay at Wilma's place. She was very welcoming, responsive, and helpful with both recommendations and arranging transportation; the place was clean, well equipped, and as described in the listing, with good wifi, A/C in the bedroom, and a fan in the living room/kitchen; the location, being a short walk from the main road (and beach) in Hillsborough, is convenient. Wilma's a lovely host, and I would very much welcome staying at her place again on a return visit to Carriacou.

Beverley and Gary are exceptionally helpful and friendly hosts who live on site. They have good local knowledge and helped us organising a wonderful boattrip and phantastic meal and Anse La Roche (Tim's place). The room was described and on the photos. Everything bright an clean with balcony which we used a lot. Double bed was in a corner due to size of room and therefore only accessible from one side. Kitchen was well equipped and we made good use of it. Bathroom spacious with walk in shower. Safe and central in Hillsborough. Bus terminal and marked just around the corner. Carriacaou has been devastated by the hurricane in July 2024 and its inhabitants are working hard repairing and building houses and the economy. Wonderful beaches which are easy to get to by public bus. Boat trips around the islands to take you out for snorkeling and turtle watching. BBQ and drink applied on board (Lambie tours). Very friendly local people.

I should start by saying that yes Canouan is ready for tourists, after Beryl. There is nothing lacking, lots of drinking water, electricity, internet. Zico's place is sure worth the money. It has a beautiful view of both the carribean and the Atlantic side. And the Atlantic breeze kept the apartment nice and cool. It also gives you the option of swimming in the Atlantic at Twin Bay Beach (15 min walk) for you very own private beach. Since we never saw anyone there. Or you could go down to the Caribbean side (15 min walk) and swim at the beach in front of the Soho resort. Just a side note; we are 67 years old and had no problem walking back up to the ridge. Zico is a very proactive host and very responsive. His Airbnb is well stock. The people on Canouan are very polite and friendly. Even the dogs are friendly, there is no barking or growling when you pass by. We felt very safe.
