The Lake House

Our family was in the area for a somber occasion; we had not all been together for a while. This property gave us space for reflection and remembrance, while also offering space for reconnection and fun. Three sisters shared the bunkroom in the basement which was ideal! The picture window overlooking the lake was perfection, especially with the leaves beginning to turn. Thank you!

We had a great time. The cottage was lovely and we had enough space for the kids. There were 6 of us sharing one bathroom, so be aware of that. The stairs are steep but our littlest had no problem going up and down, we just needed to monitor him closely. Snacks were provided and we had most of the items we could need in the kitchen. (Love the air fryer!) if you have kids, make sure you bring plastic plates and/or cups, I think their were solo cups available. It was also helpful to cover the chairs the kids sat in with a towel so as not to strain the upholstery as the dining room chairs are padded and nice. Overall we had a great stay! Thanks!

Rob's place is fantastic! This is our second year renting for an annual Halloween gathering and this home is perfectly equipped. There's more than enough personal and private space for big groups + fur babies. We love using the hot tub and the theatre. The grounds are stunning, with great views and a lot of privacy, while still close enough to town to run out for anything we needed. The hosts anticipated our needs and even added some lovely spooky decorations to enhance our weekend. We can't recommend this property or the hosts highly enough. We'll definitely be returning!

Our family had an amazing five-day stay at this Airbnb! From the moment we booked, Jared, our host, was incredibly welcoming, responsive, and accommodating. He made sure we had everything I needed, provided clear instructions, and was always available to answer any questions. The space itself was spotless, comfortable, and exactly as described—if not better! It was also very accessible, which made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. The thoughtful touches and attention to detail truly made us feel at home. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. If you’re looking for a place with a fantastic host, this is the one! We’ll definitely be returning. Highly recommend!

Wow, a great home from home property, loved everything about the property, exactly as described, bed super comfy, great shower, kitchen and fantastic smart TV, the closed in porch was an absolute gem. Mara and Ray are the perfect hosts, super friendly and responsive, wouldn’t hesitate in recommending this place, it’s in our top 3 of the 20+ properties we’ve stayed in whilst travelling the USA over the last 12 years. We shall return in the very near future.

What can I say!? Wonderland is simply that! It was so cute and charming! A peaceful stay away from home but still felt like home. The house had everything you could need and more. It was truly amazing! Our boys loved the game room and we spent hours playing pool! We were lucky to see a lot of people ice fishing on the lake too. We definitely plan on staying again in the Spring or Summer so we can see the lake when it’s not frozen. The place was so clean and comfy! It was one of our favorite airbnb stays!!

The place was just what we were looking for. Beautiful view of the river! I do with the bathroom was updated a little more, the toilet and bathtub are noticeably older(but clean!), and we couldn’t plug the tub to give our kids a bath. Overall, it was a cute place and we would certainly use it again if we needed a place in the area. Hosts were kind and responsive, and super accommodating! We enjoyed our time staying here. :)

Exactly as described, clean and quaint. Beautiful neighborhood, close to Hillsdale. Our stay was perfect for a quick weekend. No TV. Not a big deal for us but for some it might be. Try to arrive in the light as the roads are dark and if you are not familiar with the area, it can be hard to find. Owner instructions helped.

This was a fun & relaxing vacation for us, our kids and the grandkids. We really never left the place except to take the boat out. The kids and grandkids had a blast in the water and the shallow water was perfect for the young ones - they especially liked the water trampoline! The house is very spacious so we never felt crowded and my daughter was able to ‘work from home’ there utilizing the desk upstairs and the picnic table on the deck one day. The kitchen offered us everything we needed for food preparation so we didn’t have to go out to eat. We would recommend Karen’s place to others.

My family & I really enjoyed our stay at Firefly Cottage! We utilized the kayaks, canoe, & paddleboards during our stay & loved how peaceful the lake was. The atmosphere was beautiful & calm & the neighbors were very kind! During our stay, on one of the days, we walked the trail to Sandy Beach & enjoyed the lake on that side as well as the beach/sand & the playground! Firefly Cottage was clean, looked just like the pictures, & was the perfect accommodation for my family of 5. Scott was thorough with his directions on finding the cottage as well as his instructions on how to check in & out!

I can’t even find the words to describe this gorgeous, well-equipped, and tranquil home. It is absolutely stunning both inside and out, with multiple sitting areas, lots to do, ample space, and an extraordinary host. This was our first stay here, and we are already planning two return visits next year. All ten of us felt relaxed and pampered. The best!!!!!
