Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Calhoun County

Perfect for our quick stay— my siblings and I were thrilled to find an Airbnb for several of us to stay at vs. a hotel farther away from family. I personally loved the time capsule elements of this house as well :) Tracy and John were great at communicating leading up to check in and super helpful letting us in and making sure we knew our way around. We would definitely stay here again :)

Rob's place is fantastic! This is our second year renting for an annual Halloween gathering and this home is perfectly equipped. There's more than enough personal and private space for big groups + fur babies. We love using the hot tub and the theatre. The grounds are stunning, with great views and a lot of privacy, while still close enough to town to run out for anything we needed. The hosts anticipated our needs and even added some lovely spooky decorations to enhance our weekend. We can't recommend this property or the hosts highly enough. We'll definitely be returning!

This is the most equipped rental We have stayed in. Lots of warm, soft blankets, which we loved. Amanda was very responsive.

Our family was in the area for a somber occasion; we had not all been together for a while. This property gave us space for reflection and remembrance, while also offering space for reconnection and fun. Three sisters shared the bunkroom in the basement which was ideal! The picture window overlooking the lake was perfection, especially with the leaves beginning to turn. Thank you!

Mamie’s place worked out very well for our extended family to celebrate the Christmas Season! Her place made us feel right at home!

Airbt was an amazing host hands down one of the best hosts! There was a missing firestick remote and I alerted the host to it and the next day to my surprise a brand new firestick was delivered right to the front door. We had everything we would have had at our disposal at home and more. Great stay, very safe and spacious home. Great for our Christmas dinner with our Battle Creek relatives and friends.

This home was exactly what we needed for our family. Beautiful, clean, and nice location, not to mention the nice large driveway turned out to be a good spot for the kids to play outside. The hosts were helpful and responsive, check in and out were easy to do. Probably one of the cleanest air bnb’s we’ve stayed in. You can tell they care about making their guest comfortable.

Beautiful apartment. The space is clean, bright, and felt very spacious. Really enjoyed the mid-century mod atmosphere and historic character of the home, charming and comfortable. Close to downtown, a short walk to shops & restaurants. Appreciated hosts responsiveness. The dates of my trip changed after booking, fortunately the apartment was available and my request to change was quickly accommodated. Thank you for sharing your lovely home!

The apartment was so charming and at a lovely part of downtown. We loved the coziness of the place and the freedom getting in and out, and the space itself just felt lovely to be in. We loved seeing downtown Marshall all decorated for the holidays with the snow falling out the windows. Beds were comfortable and warm, and we appreciated the kitchen so our kids could have snacks ready to go. Communication with Abby was easy and quick, and had we needed anything I’m sure she would’ve handled it quickly. We would absolutely love to stay again next time we come to visit family.

We loved this place. It was a super nice place to stay. There were 6 of us over two nights. Plenty of towels and washcloths. The air mattress stayed up all night. It is in the country, but literally 6 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go in Marshall. And very easy to find. Kathleen is very friendly and very responsive.

The space was exactly as described—cozy, clean, and welcoming. I loved what I saw online before booking, but the place was actually even better than what was shown. I would highly recommend this place and would be glad to book again if I'm in the area.

Val was an amazing host. She was always available when I had any concerns and accommodated any requests I had. she also helped me get to know the area better by recommending activities for my daughter and I. I'm really going to miss the view from the wall length windows. The location is great, everything you need is literally up the street. Downtown is a 5 min walk from the condo and is so beautiful. I would stay again.

This was the perfect place for me to stay while visiting friends in Kalamazoo. Central location made it close to all sides of town. Just the right amount of space to stretch out and relax when staying in. All the comforts of home: well equipped kitchen, cleaning supplies, extra linens, laundry, iron & board, hair dryer, wifi/internet, TV, etc. I'm a nature fan, so lots of squirrels and birds in the private back area under the trees. I will book here again when returning to Kazoo! Five stars all the way * * * * *

I traveled to Michigan with my sister for a family reunion, so I wanted a place with two separate bedrooms. Boz's place was a great choice. It is one unit in a community of four-unit apartment buildings. It was probably built in the 1970s, but it has been fixed up well. Everything was squeaky clean. I walked around in new white socks and had no worries about getting them dirty. Boz included some nice details, including fluffy towels and a big new bar of soap. The shower is mounted up high, which I appreciate because I'm tall. The unit has its own 40-gallon water heater. There was a bowl with packaged snacks like granola bars, which was helpful in the morning to hold me over before I left for breakfast. The location is three minutes (by car) from an Aldi grocery store, but I never used it on this trip. I ate breakfast every day at Roxie's which is a great place that's only about four minutes away. I will be happy to stay here again next time I visit Kalamazoo.

Loved this apartment. A few minutes from downtown. Super clean and very modern. I was going to take a shower but realized I forgot my shampoo and the apartment didn’t have any extra. I am used to airbnbs having extra but I did go back and see that it says they don’t have toiletries in their advertisement. Communication was excellent. They even allowed a later check out time. I would stay here again.
