Waterfront vacation rentals in Caldwell County

Blin's place was spotless, comfortable and the view was stunning - Fall leaves were in full color while we were there. The bathrooms were spacious and clean - the water was hot with good pressure. The king bed in the master was supportive and comfortable. I heard no complaints about the bunk room beds the kids used. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, bowls and cooking utensils. All appliances worked well. It was muddy while we were there so we rolled up the light colored rugs so we didn't accidentally stain them. We had our dog with us and there was plenty of area for him to run and the streets were quiet for a walk along the road. There are steps all the way to the water which will be amazing for lake access in the summer. As it was cold while we were there and the lake was still recovering from Hurrican Helene, we did not get in the water. All in all it was a great place to stay.

Karen was helpful in sending recommendations and communication regarding the impact of Helene on the area. Always answered questions and put us at ease. The suite was beautiful and the amenities were nice and the views were great. Instructions were helpful. I would highly recommend this suite

This was a good place to stay near sugar mountain. It's a short hike to get to the ticket office and lifts. The rental itself is a quaint little condo near the lake. Levi was communicative and I could see myself staying here again.

A great location with almost immediate access to skiing and hiking trails! We didn’t use the amenities while there but did see many families enjoying them. A 15 minute ride to Boone and all that area offers was a plus. This was a quiet, corner location with a soothing view of a pond on the grounds out all of the windows. A good sized space to wind down after a full day of adventures!

Jamie's place was a nice fit for our visit to Boone. The space was clean, nicely decorated, and quiet. Jamie was communicative and all of the instructions were clear. We really appreciated Jamie's willingness to accommodate our dogs, who often travel with us. This rental is located about 1.5 miles from the main strip of downtown Boone, which was a little farther than we expected. However, there are sidewalks all the way and it's a straightforward route if you are planning to walk. We'd definitely consider staying here again on a return trip to Boone.

Both Theresa and Jorge were quick to respond. We did have some issues with the temperature in the houses and the wifi going out but Jorge showed up quickly to save the day with some extra portable AC’s and to get the wifi back up and running. There was lots to do in the area but also just spending time on the back porch was incredible. It was extremely peaceful and very private. The mountain coaster is within walking distance as well as high mountain expeditions (they offer whitewater rafting, tubing and kayaking).

Great location if you’re looking to do the main attractions at Sugar Mtn. Right next to the entrance for skiing/tubing/ice skating and right off the road where with rentals, Alpine Coaster, gem mining, etc. The kitchen areas are minimal with only small appliances, but our group didn’t mind. On the flip side, the back porch was beautiful and huge! It was great for our trip of 12 to go skiing.

This Airbnb had a fantastic location, making it very convenient for our stay. We encountered a minor issue on the first night, but we were impressed by the quick response time—someone arrived to resolve it within 20 minutes. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely consider staying here again.

Amy resounds quickly to any messages, is very accommodating and let us check in a little early. Cozy house, perfect for a family gathering. Plenty of cookware and dishes for preparing meals. We had a lovely stay at her home and would recommend to others.

My husband and I loved staying at this home. It was very clean, well equipped, and welcoming. The hosts are very friendly and responsive. The location of the home was in the middle of a very quiet neighborhood. There are great restaurants and grocery stores near by. The view of the lake was lovely. I really loved the bathroom in the master bedroom. It has double showers and a whirlpool tub. We are definitely staying here again.

The hosts were incredibly attentive and made sure I had everything I needed without being intrusive. If you’re looking for a peaceful escape surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot. I can’t recommend it enough and look forward to coming back soon!

We had a great family gathering at Scott’s lake house. Lots of room for everyone including Skye, our dog. Great sunrises and sunsets. Played cornhole and went inside to warm up!

I would say 4.5 but wanted to round up. Nice people. Pros: Good location if you like Lake Norman. Hot tub was nice for the evening, freshly filled and cleaned. Early check in available. Kids enjoyed ping pong. Kayaks available for use is a plus. I was missing: No laundry facilities-or trash bag for dirty clothes would be nice. Bring your own shampoo! Not great offering of that. Kitchenette no cooking options…microwave and fridge plus a toaster. GFI outlet isn't working properly. Turned on the keurig and tripped a breaker and smelled a burning smell. No coffee mugs, but there is a keurig? Floor by ping pong table is really sticky 🤢. Beds are lumpy, not too comfy. We only stayed one night, so we didn’t bother the owners about anything. I’m sure they would’ve been pleasant about anything we wished we needed.

Great stay overall! Very clean, great location walkable to the slopes, and offered an early check in and easy check out process. Important to note you must sign separate Vacasa contracts before arriving and only two parking spaces are allotted. The WiFi is a bit of a pain as you must re-enter your email address every time your phone or laptop shuts off. Not a big deal just something to be aware of. Would definitely stay again!

Perfect spot for our group of 9 to stay for a weekend at sugar mountain. Short walk to the base (~3 mins even in all our gear) to ski and ride. Plenty of beds and couches for everyone and the place was exactly as advertised in the listing. Will definitely stay here again!

Very walkable to skiing and tubing. Plenty of parking. Heavy snow fall while we were visiting and roads were cleared early. Quiet neighbors and ample amenities within the condo. We will be planning a trip for next year too.

My stay at the 4BR Villa in Banner Elk was absolutely delightful! The villa was spacious, beautifully furnished, and offered all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It was the perfect getaway spot for relaxation and enjoying the beauty of the mountains. Would highly recommend it for families or groups looking for a luxurious and peaceful retreat!

Perfect for a ski weekend at sugar mountain! Very short walk (few minutes) to the main lodge/lift. This unit was spacious and clean- we loved sitting by the fire place after skiiing all day. Had everything we needed.

Nice place in a superb location

Loved this rustic creekside condo. It was beautiful inside and out. Everything you needed was there. The deck outside to relax and listen to the creek was so nice. We would definitely stay here again!
