If you want to be reminded what peaceful feels like, if you want to reminded how beautiful nature can be, and if your spirit needs to be renewed and refreshed then THIS is the spot to go. A truly unique and special retreat! We loved the swans and ducks, the cozy wood stove and stunning lake views. Every detail was perfect, and we definitely will return.

Wonderful home that was incredibly clean and comfortable. Lots of space to relax and beds were comfortable. Neighborhood was amazing, and location was perfect for going between our son’s hockey games in Wasilla and Palmer.

Absolutely beautiful views! Wonderful cabin! It was exactly what we wanted. The listing is explicit about amenities and is exactly as described and pictured. No TV, no Wifi and not much signal. A beautiful escape from it all! Spacious kitchen with everything needed.

Where to begin?? This was absolutely our favorite place to stay during our whole 3 week trip to Alaska (we stayed 9 days). The house was beautifully decorated and clean. We loved relaxing in the hot tub after a long day. The hosts were very responsive to any issues we had (clogged drain, fixed within 12 hours) and provided lots of fun recommendations for local things to do. Which we did not do, because we were having too much fun in the hot tub. They went above and beyond with all the amenities and small touches — spices, utensils, books, coffee, toiletries. It felt like a home away from home. We wish we could have stayed longer, and we plan to come back soon!

Took a boys trip with 3 friends and I selected Susanna’s home as our second choice as our first choice had raised the price of rental. This was easily the best decision we made. Susanna’s home in Wasilla was a prime location for our boys trip as we were able to adventure in any direction and enjoy amazing sights without having to drive an extra hour if you’re staying in downtown Anchorage. I was impressed with all of the amenities offered by Susannas home. The kitchen was very spacious and was stocked with every seasoning we could need. It often became our central gathering area of the house. Another treat to be able to view the Aurora Borealis from the comfort of the outside deck. Huddling around the fire pit was also very calming during these snowy nights. Overall, I would say this home is excellent place for you and your family (or friends) to stay if you want to enjoy the natural beauty of Lower Alaska without having to drive too far. We enjoyed our stay here. The home is very comfortable, clean, and more spacious than we expected. It is stocked with a lot of extras including fresh farm eggs. Barbara was there to greet us and show us around. She is very friendly and responsive to messages. The property is beautiful and well maintained. If you need a place to stay in the Palmer area, I recommend Lazy Mountain Acres #2.
