Although having been recently updated with a new bathroom and kitchen along with a remodeled living room the original integrity is maintained. The home provides everything you will need to enjoy your stay (including tea, coffee, salt & pepper, cooking oil, tinfoil etc.). While being a quiet location a short walk of a couple of minutes will see you at the local baker, post office and the harbour.

Lovely cottage in a lovely location. Close to the beech and ideal location to explore the Northumberland coast. The cottage was spotlessly clean, very well equipped and the welcome basket and milk was very nice. The area is quiet and peaceful and a short walk from some lovely eateries in Walkworth. Looking forward to staying again.

We had a fabulous stay at this lovely house in Amble. It was a short walk to the shops and restaurants in the town and we visited a number of the places that were recommended in the arrival information and had great meals at them all. We would definitely stay here again when visiting the area!

A lovely place to stay for a short break, only a few minutes walk to the local Spar shop and pubs. The bed is very comfortable with lovely soft pillows. Eyemouth is only a 10min drive way. A big bonus for me was the private car park and not having to worry about where to park each day as on street parking close to accommodation can be hit and miss in a places I’ve stayed before. The complimentary pies were a very nice gesture and very much appreciated.

Featherblow exceeded even the glowing reviews from many very happy guests. You have to experience it to really believe it! John and Lisa have curated a gem of place nestled in a remarkable part of the UK. Everything and more is provided for. Their place is so cheerful and inviting. The artwork and interiors are fabulous. They both know how to cater for their guests and are so responsive and engaging from pre and post stay. Our family loved the Airbnb experience staying at Featherstone and highly recommend that anyone wishing to have a relaxing and exploring family break make that booking with John and Lisa...with so much still to do and see in enchanting Northumberland, we will be returning!

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, this is the perfect place. Aimee was extremely responsive and helpful when needed and also left us to enjoy our stay in peace. The photos of the cottage don’t do it justice. It’s a beautiful place with an amazing outlook over fields and we felt right at home on arrival with thoughtful touches and clean cozy spaces. We were walking distance to the local village with a lovely bakery and only a 15 minute drive to the beautiful National Trust Cragside. Around a 25 minute drive to beautiful local beaches and so much more to explore if we had more time! A few personal notes:- WiFi was great for our autistic son and his PlayStation. We could tell he felt very relaxed at the cottage. I was ill for part of our stay so we didn’t explore as much as we wanted but because the cottage was so comfortable (beds especially) we didn’t feel like we missed out at all. A beautiful place with lovely owners and friendly locals - we will be back! Thank you

Just back from a wonderful Easter break in Ethel's cottage. Beautiful home in a lovely little quite village. spotlessly clean. Furnished nice. Lovely welcome pack on arrival. Great location and a fantastic pub serving delicious food two minutes away. 20 minutes car drive to a beach. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to others.

We had a fabulous stay at The Nook the week before the Easter weekend. Lots of lovely little touches and we loved warming up by the fire after a long day of walking. Ideal as a touring base for Northumberland and plenty of places to eat nearby which are all helpfully set out in the guidebook. Would highly recommend.
