Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Buckingham County

This is a lovely "cottage-type" place and we fully enjoyed our stay. The beds were comfortable, everything was spotlessly clean and the layout was really perfect for two-four guests. Pam greeted us so warmly we felt right at home. Her accommodations are on her several hundred acre farm and the views of the James river and her rolling meadows were just so divine and peaceful. It is only a short walk to the river where you can watch all the wildlife and several trains roll on by. The town of Scottsville is only a little more than a mile away and has an Italian Cafe (where we had the most excellent pizza), plus many other shops, a bookstore, more restaurants and a bakery. Enjoy walking this small-town main street. And you are 30 minutes from Charlottesville Historic District. We can highly recommend Pam and George's Place which is aptly titled "Riverview", and we' stay here again in a heartbeat!

Carolynn definitely goes the extra mile for her guests. The house was very clean and well organized. Fresh basket of cookies was a very nice touch. Stayed there a week and didn't want to leave. Very nice Thanks Carolynnn

Beautiful cozy cottage on an even more beautiful vineyard. Perfect size for two people. Comfortable bed, great hvac, wood stove was so cozy, and being greeted by Sammie to play fetch was a huge bonus! We highly recommend!

Wonderful country house in a very quiet village relatively close to the local vineyards. The house was very comfortable with all that we required. There’s a train line at the back of the property, but trains ran very infrequently and didn’t bother us during our stay. Would stay there again.

Wonderful time staying in the carriage house. Definitely a good choice for an extended stay. You can interact with other guests if you like at the main house especially at breakfast. There are extensive garden areas and lots of nooks to sit at. Enjoyed our time immensely in the area. Many state parks and historical sites to see.

We had an amazing stay at Bella Vista! The place was exactly as described, clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated. Donna was incredibly welcoming and made sure we had everything I needed. The location was perfect. I highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely return!

What a beautiful getaway. After the rough past few months my family wanted to have a short getaway to disconnect and this was the perfect place to do so. We did puzzles, read, went on walks, and enjoyed going to the downtown area in Scottsville. Would gladly find any reason to come back! Very easy and helpful check in process (Tom was wonderful) and we felt right at home. Neighbors were lovely and our dogs felt right at home. The beds were also extremely comfortable. Thank you for creating such a comfortable space and sharing it.
