Hard Truth Cabin: 325-Acre Destination Distillery

MeganRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place was a perfect getaway for my husband and I. We stayed for 3 nights and we wish we stayed longer. We loved the atmosphere and how beautiful the cabin was. We booked knowing there was a chance of extremely bad weather and they offered us the restaurant basement (during business hours) if things got worse than expected. I hate storms and knowing we had that option made me feel more confident with keeping our reservation. With this being right on the distillery, it made it more fun for us. We loved being so close to downtown. Everything was so close and easy to get to. We will be back hopefully in the Summer/Fall for their Tiki Tour and other festivities!

Blessings Farmhouse | Relaxation. Connection. Fun.

CraigRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Cute farm house 17 minutes outside Nashville, IN. Has a great setup for a multi family group catering to young kids! It was rainy and cold when we visited but the fire pit area looked very nice. The farmhouse is completely renovated and updated. Basement is themed for kids to play while adults visit. Our group had a great time celebrating New Year’s Eve at Blessings Farmhouse and would definitely book again!

A Natures Getaway Charming and Cozy

HollyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
This was a dream come true! We were accomodated even with short notice! The space is so cozy and beautiful, recently remodeled. Everything was so clean and beautifully decorated. I am a fellow plant lover and Teresa's space has lots of plants, absolutely loved it! We felt safe, and sure, staying here. We came up from Florida to see a snowstorm, and we were not disappointed. Don and Teresa are those kind of folks that feel like you've known them forever. It was just an all around great experience! Not to mention the cutest fur babies EVER!!! We will definitely be returning. We felt so energized, and refreshed, after our 3 night stay 🤍 Thanks Teresa and Don!!

Hawks' Ridge - unique woodland getaway

GingerRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Susan’s place was perfect for our girls trip. So many fun unique gems to look at. We had so much fun playing old games we didn’t even turn on the tv! The outside was so fun with the outdoor heater and plenty of wood for our fire. I’m pretty picky and I can say….this is a very unique awesome place. The bathrooms had such a cool spa vibe. We will be back.

Nashville Treasure

KathyRating, 5 starstoday
Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Nashville Treasure! There’s too many great things to list but some highlights were, sitting on the deck in the evenings stargazing and stoking the very cool firepit, listening/dancing to the large selection of records provided (very nostalgic), admiring the decor and perusing through all the mid century modern books, the very peaceful setting!! We felt at home right away and can’t wait to return !!

Secluded family retreat on 8 wooded acres

StarlaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Mike's place was perfect for our low-key holiday weekend in Nashville. It was clean and safe, and we loved that it was secluded yet less than a five-minute drive to downtown Nashville. Mike's responsiveness and attentiveness when we had to deal with a minor plumbing issue was much appreciated.

The Cabin at Mount Liberty

LindseyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We booked this cabin last minute and are so happy we did! It’s not far from downtown which is where everything is that we wanted to do. Hard Truth, among other wineries and distilleries, is why we decided to venture to Brown County yet again. The host is fast to reply and very transparent about the ins and outs. The property is stunning, the cabin has a lot of character, was super clean and perfect for our stay. We enjoyed looking and reading about all the history in the living room area. The multiple bedrooms and bathrooms were fun to pick which we wanted to occupy! We’ll definitely be back and plan to stay more than one night next time. Before we left, we did walk over to say hi to the horses. The hot tub was an added bonus, too. We plan to save this listing and share it with our friends. Definitely worth it being only a few hours from our home!

Brown County Sanctuary Log Cabin

Elizabeth MeganRating, 5 stars1 week ago
This was a weekend getaway for our family to escape from the city and connect with nature. The house was PERFECT for this, as we were able to explore the grounds, use the pristine, clean hot tub, and go on adventures such as zip lining and horseback riding. Upon arrival, the host was prompt to answer our questions, and the house was stocked with everything we needed and more. We even used some of the board games they had in the closet. No complaints whatsoever. Would recommend! Beautifully restored, historic home.

Cozy Bear Cabin *Pool Table*Hot Tub*StatePark

KatieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This was my second time staying at the Cozy Bear cabin - the first time with girlfriends and this time with my husband and son. Both were a blast! We especially enjoyed the pool table and hot tub and even found a dry moment to make s’mores over the fire pit. Everything outside of the cabin is so close and accessible, whether you want to hike, shop, or dine out. Best of all, Lindsey was super responsive and proactively reached out to let us know about an incoming storm and where to find flashlights. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Brown County area!

Deer Dance Log Cabin

TonnesRating, 5 stars6 days ago
The location and the surrounding is just mind blowing. We talked about when there is snow on the ground this place must be so awesome. It’s so romantic. The only thing what would make this place even better is to have a better way to get to the to of the hill. We most definitely will be back with Airbnb to book more on different locations but also considering celebrating Christmas in that cabin

Point of View Vacation Rental

LoriRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This house is beautiful and well stocked. They even provide towels for the hot tub. There were so many beautiful areas to lounge and enjoy nature. It stormed all weekend and the view was amazing. They even called to check on us. My only con was that my GPS could not find the address, thankfully the written directions were spot on. I advise following those instead. Check out instructions were easy and detailed. We really appreciated the 11 a.m check out time. I would stay here again, especially in the fall. I can't imagine how beautiful this view must be then.

Harper Valley Cottage

AnnieRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Great place! Very clean and the amenities are plentiful. Beds are extremely comfortable. Hot tub is an awesome feature. Very convenient Nashville location, though we were a bit surprised by how small the lot is compared to how photos make it appear, and that it sits right on Old S.R. 46. Just required extra vigilance with small kids. We would return here!

The Grandview Getaway

JJRating, 5 stars1 month ago
This home is absolutely wonderful and has everything you could need and imagine for a large group. The home is just like the picture plus more. The rooms and the closets are huge. The kitchen is very well stocked for large groups. If you have kids, the home will be a pure delight. There is a wonderful kids room upstairs, games galore in the basement, and a fabulous movie room set up with a popcorn machine. There is a lot of space to relax and play outside. The beds are all very comfortable. The hot tub is a very nice one and was very clean and easy to use. John is a highly responsive host and always answered any questions we had within 30 minutes or less. I cannot say enough good things about this home. It was perfect for our ladies weekend retreat with a group of 10. An added bonus was that we were able to park in the garage. I highly recommend this home. I have stayed in places all over the world and this is one of the best.

R&R Creekside 3BR, 2BA, 7AC Wooded, Pond, 6 Guests

MarshaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
We had to make a change of location for our annual siblings trip due to the health of parents. Rich was able to extend our stay so that everyone could make it in for at least part of the time. The location is perfect for being able to see stars and hear nature(there are at least two pileated wood peckers) yet still convenient to Nashville Indiana. There was a pond next to the house that we so wanted to drop a line into but the weather never worked out for us. We didn’t get to take advantage of the beautiful fire pit either. The beds were super comfy. The kitchen has everything you could need to make any meal and the spice selection was amazing! There was a storm with lots of flooding and downed trees that came thru two days before our arrival and I was worried about needing to change our plans. Rich sent pictures and kept us updated about the storm as we made our way up from Georgia. We got into town about an hour earlier than checkin but Rich allowed us to get in early. GREAT STAY!!

Your guide to Brown County

All About Brown County

Brown County, Indiana offers 16,000 acres of spectacular state park land and a thriving artist community just an hour south of Indianapolis. The county is home to one of the first artist colonies in the country, and residents continue to inspire visitors with handcrafted glass, leather, jewelry, and other artisan products being displayed at the Arts Village in downtown Nashville. Studios and galleries line the streets here, alongside the Brown County Music Center to the historic Brown County Playhouse, which host live performances throughout the year.

This is also the home of Brown County State Park, where you can spend afternoons hiking or biking by lakes and waterfalls, gazing out from the tops of steep ravines, and in the fall, experiencing the vibrant changes in foliage. The park also offers a number of trail riding centers where you can catch a glimpse of the beautiful scenery on horseback.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Brown County
