Cherie is a truly remarkable woman and very respectful of her guests. I immediately felt comfortable and very well received. She's a lovely host!

I stayed here with my Mom and two sisters- it was perfect! The hot tub overlooks the beach and is under a gorgeous canopy of trees that kept us dry from the rain. We had hummingbirds and quails visit us while we ate breakfast on the patio under a wisteria tree. The house is very cozy with everything you need and so many interesting things to look at. We went to Duncan and spent the day at the Farmer's Market, then had dinner just down the street, overlooking the water, while watching seals and birds fish. We are already discussing making the trip an annual event and plan to go again next year!

Had an amazing stay despite the weather! Woke up to a beautiful morning and they wanted us to enjoy it so told us no rush to leave stay as late as we wanted! Very friendly, easy to talk too! Would recommend very highly! Will be back for sure!

We spent a spectacular 3 nights at Shoal Bay in the Raven cottage. Mark and Cynthia have built an incredible homestead. We had 2 kids who happily roamed the property all day, exploring the beach, creeks and gardens. They were very sad to leave. The cottage was very comfortable. Great beds, incredible views. Well stocked kitchen. We did Discovery West to get us to and from Shoal Bay who were also wonderful. We feel very privileged to have experienced what we did. Thank you Mark and Cynthia!

Michelle has created a custom retreat with plenty to enjoy. You are surrounded by elevated pieces all while feeling comfortably one with the space. The kitchen was a pleasure to cook in, and the tub was so nice I used it twice during our short stay. Our girls felt the magic of their sleeping quarters, using the desk, cozy reading nook and the canvas tie backs for the bed area with joy. We were well greeted and given a lovely rundown of the ins and out of the beautiful space. A special experience was had by all. Perfect for our family of four. This was our last stop on a multi-legged tour of the eastern side of the island. A haven between hikes, markets, and secondhand bookstores, I am so glad I booked last. True RnR.

What a hidden treasure! The scenery was unreal, and so peaceful! We had an absolutely amazing and memorable family vacation. This house has everything you could need, from paper towels to measuring cups, and they even had a little dog food and bags. The fully fenced side yard was amazing to have for our dogs. With the beach just steps away, it was magical! Lots of wildlife spotted also, seal lions, eagles…just wow. We will definitely be back. Also, Erika was so quick to respond and very accomodating. Loved everything!

This place was such a cute little place to stay. We had planned on camping but the forecast called for rain so we were able to book and arrive the same day which was so helpful. It was very easy to find and had a great location right across the street from the lake.

Wow! Attention to detail and ensuring we had everything we needed was amazing. Perfect place to have our dog with us. The backyard is private and an oasis. Perfect host, giving us privacy while ensuring we had everything we would possibly need. What a wonderful thing if all Airbnbs were like this one.

Very comfortable stay. It was very well equipped and has everything we need to instantly feel comfortable and cozy. We had a rental car and felt fairly convenient to get to anywhere (everything was within 15 minutes drive). With a toddler, we also walked around the neighborhood quite a bit and always felt safe. We bumped into the host's family who are friendly and respectful. Though the kitchen window can see into the AirBnB space including the bedroom, we didn't feel our privacy was being affected. Highly recommend for couples or family with small child (my toddler adored the books and toys in the unit).

We chose this place because it was pet friendly and were happy to pay a bit more for that. Didnt end up taking the dogs but cuteness and location still made it totally worth it! Will look for availability for next visit for sure

We had an amazing weekend getaway at this charming Airbnb! Booking both bungalows was perfect for our group, providing ample space and comfort.
