Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Brighton

The houses managed by Christina and Historic Houseparts are truly gems in the Airbnb world. My husband and our five kids visit Rochester twice a year to see family, so we have a lot of experience with Airbnbs. I am always looking for something interesting, preferably historic, and am generally disappointed, except when we stay in these homes. It is truly a joy and luxury to be in a home that has been thoughtfully restored, decorated, and supplied without skimping. While there are aspects of an old home like bedroom doors not closing flush and awkward tiny staircases, we are willing to overlook a lot for a vacation in a cool home like this. I really appreciated the small fans in each bedroom and a really well stocked kitchen (large stockpots and mixers in Airbnbs are few and far between!). All the historic books on Rochester were exactly to our taste, too. The price point makes this stay a steal. Can’t recommend enough!!

This was our second stay here - we loved it so much the first time we stayed that we decided it will be our "go to" when home visiting family. The house is very clean, the perfect size for us and we feel very comfortable here. Great kitchen!

Wow! What a spectacular place! My little family of 6 went on a quick weekend getaway and we all fell in love with this house and did not want to leave. The upstairs rooms had their own fireplaces which were a nice touch. Kept the kids extra warm throughout the night. The master suite is stunning. The view alone, I could lay in that bed all day just staring out the window. And what an incredible bathroom! The shower felt like I was in a spa or resort. The bathtub was fantastic. I need this bathroom in my own house. The kitchen was open to the rest of the downstairs area and had a perfect view outside and to the lake. Also, it was fully stocked with any and everything. Tupperware, spices, utensils, coffee machine, you name it, it was there. Everything you’d want in an air bnb as an adult. Now, if you’re a kid (or even just a kid a heart) what a treat the basement was for everyone! The show stopper was definitely the movie room. I could go on and on! Can’t wait to go back!

I really enjoyed my stay here. Emily and Amanda are super responsive and communicative. I particularly appreciate how straightforward checking in and out were. It's nice to have simple instructions and not too much to do when you are making your way out. Also the beds were glorious!

Tim and Katie's place was comfortable and convenient! The kitchen was well-stocked to be able to make dinner, which we appreciated.

Carla’s home here is a literal hidden gem. Steps away from Lake Ontario and accessible to the beach. The home is very nice and the view from the upstairs bedroom is amazing. Would love to come again during the nicer weather months. Carla was very friendly and helpful with any questions that came up related to additional upkeep for the home due to the snow and expected frigid temperatures. I highly recommend this home.

Second time staying here, always lovely. Great location close to highland park, mt hope cemetery, bars, breweries, coffee and restaurants. Alecia is SO great at communicating, and a wonderful and kind host. I stayed over the Christmas holiday and I walked in to see a Christmas tree, fireplace playing on the tv, and adorable holiday decor. She is so thoughtful!

This property suited our needs well. It was very clean, free of clutter, and tidy. Hosts were extremely helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The neighborhood is quiet, close to the canal and Fairport downtown. We enjoyed our stay very much- thank you for your hospitality!

This home is full of history and feels so magical. From the charming antiques to the glowing candles throughout. It had such a warm and cozy ambience. This was by far the cleanest Airbnb we’ve ever stayed at. Robin was an amazing host and so accommodating and responsive. We had zero issues during our stay.

This was our second time staying at Todd and Julie’s place. It’s clean, in a safe area and close to a lot of restaurants. They are quick to respond if you have an issue or question.

Had a very short stay las I was bring my son to school at SUNY Brockport. Home was 4 min away from the school, local restaurants and the loved the neighborhood. Apartment was decorated so cute! Will definitely return!

Had an amazing stay at Paula’s place over Thanksgiving. The town is walkable and there are many cute restaurants to try! The place is very cozy, stocked with everything you could need during a stay. We were there over Thanksgiving and it was cold but her place was warm and cozy! Definitely go to the Greentown restaurant for drinks or local beers and amazing wings! For brunch check out Simply Crepes! Both places are just a few blocks away.

What a beautiful place Michael and Tricia have! The place smelled really good and they had lots of stocked items such as snacks, drinks, and toiletries if you forgot anything, they had it! Very peaceful and quiet with a gorgeous surrounding. Highly recommend staying here and will definitely come back when we decide on another trip to New York. I forgot to mention that they are super friendly and very responsive with our questions.

My mom and I enjoyed our stay in Rob's "Crib" very much. We enjoyed the mix of an older home and modern decor. There are plenty of easy uses for the lights, ceiling fans and TV. The driveway is a little narrow but we managed. Thanks for everything Rob!

Staying at the Sugar House Cabin at Kettle Ridge Farm was an absolute delight! The location strikes the perfect balance – close to everything we needed, yet secluded enough to feel like a peaceful retreat. The cabin itself was spotless upon arrival, exactly as described in the listing. There were excellent directions and a cabin notebook. The rules helped out and the cabin was as described with extras like deer and a full moon.

great place for golfers hunters and fishermen. tucked away in a wooded area with a fair distance between Neighbors. it would be very hard to disturb them even with late night campfire sing along! nice game room clean barbecue and all the utensils and appliances that you could possibly want.
