Sunset Ranch, acre lot facing open high desert

ZackRating, 5 stars3 days ago
We thoroughly enjoyed the vibe at Sunset Ranch. The place is extremely well designed and put together. The lighting and music speakers were on point. Comfortable bed, hot shower, well stocked kitchen, it’s all there. We will return for sure. Thanks James! You’re the best 🙏

Leapin' Lizard Guest House

LanceRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
If you are simply looking for a place to crash and lay your head after a long day of travel, Bryn's place is not for you. If you are looking for a soulful connection to the desert in a lovingly and thoughtfully hand-built home that is designed to be in tune and integrated into it's environment, then by all means stay at Bryn's Leapin' Lizard home. The beauty of the desert, the silence and tranquility will reward you in this true artist's home that has been lovingly created over many years with countless little details that surprise and delight the senses. To make the most of your visit, book multiple nights. I had 2, and the next time will book 4 or 5. It's hands down the best AirBnB experience I've ever had–– but it isn't for everyone, so read the listing carefully before booking. Staying in an off-grid, rain water only home in the desert requires some effort––but it is well worth that effort, and the return comes back to you 100 fold.

Off Grid Earth Bag Home

JavierRating, 5 stars5 days ago
It was my first time visiting the big bend area. I’m so glad we stayed a Jamie’s off the grid earth home. His home is simple, genuine & a work of art. If you’re looking to get the full big bend experience I highly recommend. It’s off grid, yet has more of a comfort than camping. But it’s not a luxurious home. It’s simple, but the craftsmanship of his home is beautiful. 10/10 stay. Thank you!

New! Starry Night Shipping Container Home

BreannaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
This was a great and unique little place to stay on our trip to Big Bend. It was cozy and clean and gave us the opportunity to enjoy the stars at night. If you do stay here, be careful on the spiral stairs to the top porch. They were slick and my husband slid down them and injured (possibly broke) his toe which didn’t make our hiking trip much fun for him. Lastly, it was further than we expected it to be from Big Bend. I’m not sure that we would stay here on another visit.

Glow House, Terlingua, TX

GabrielaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb, located just 30 minutes from the Big Bend entrance. The location was absolutely perfect—peaceful, private, and surrounded by the beauty of the desert. It felt like the perfect escape from the noise and distractions of everyday life. The space itself was very cozy and comfortable, making it easy to relax and unwind after a day of exploring. We loved how quiet and serene the area was, and the clear night skies were a highlight. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway near Big Bend!

Chic Tiny Home Close to Everything @ Casa Paloma

MaryRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My little dog and I had a wonderful one-night experience at Kimberly's Casa Paloma. It was just the right size with everything we needed. The surroundings were quiet & peaceful, with lovely views. It was near enough to the town, though, that we would have been able to get there easily for a grocery run or anything else.

Modern Home 5 min to Big Bend

PennyRating, 5 stars1 day ago
We loved it at Casa Aurora. I didn’t want to leave. It is only 10 min. to park entrance. 3 min to Cottonwood General Store. 10 min. to Terlingua. We hiked all kinds of trails in BBNP and loved every minute of that but, coming back to John’s Airbnb and stargazing was some of our favorite moments. I enjoyed reading the guest book at the Airbnb. I would suggest looking at it. It had some amazing info with drawings. John gave clear directions on how to get to the home. The amenities in the home were excellent. The front deck with the comfy couch was perfect for morning coffee and the sunrise or evenings with a bourbon and watching the stars appear. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home.

Cosmic Company Big Bend - Terlingua, TX - Nova

SashaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Peaceful desert experience under the night’s sky. Quiet, clean, within an hour of the park, and about 35 minutes from the restaurants/shopping in Terlingua. The outdoor fire pit is a wonderful spot. Four chairs, lots of wood available, and materials to cook over the open flame. Be mindful that water conservation is critical here. The shower was nice and warm, but don’t expect to have a spa experience (water will run out and take a bit to “refill”). This is a very small space. We had 4 adults, and you should plan on living out of your luggage. There are storage shelves in the rooms, which are very helpful. Energy use should also be limited. Don’t run too many appliances at once. (Pro tip: turn AC off while cooking, or wait to use the microwave until you’re done using the stove top).

We had a great stay! Was a perfect stay for visiting Big Bend. The town had several places to get food but we also used the fire pit to roast hot dogs.

Yellow Submarine #2, Terlingua Ghosttown

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful anniversary trip at Daniel’s place. It was perfect for what we needed and had everything you could possibly need. The grill, fire pit, and outdoor area were perfect for sunset dinners and relaxing after hiking in Big Bend. There is bar/restaurant within walking distance that we enjoyed and it was a short drive into Big Bend each day. The views from the Airbnb were incredible. Daniel was kind enough to check in with us and even brought a crib right away for our 4 month old. The instructions were very clear and it was easy to get in and out of. Despite proximity to other lodging, it felt private and peaceful which we appreciated. We highly recommend for anyone going to Big Bend!

Piedra Poco-Big Bend Cabin-Artistic Original

MacyRating, 5 stars3 months ago
Wendy was awesome & very welcoming & even allowed us into the cabin early since we got there earlier than expected. The cabin has a great ac/heater & the view of the stars was amazing. The bathroom was intimidating with using a bucket instead of a toilet for the bathroom but it was clean & gave privacy & easy to get used to. Be sure to conserve water for the shower if you want hot water. Be aware to buy extra wood & some fire starters if you want to use the fire pit. The beds were very cozy & comfortable as well. Over all it was a very cozy & private area & easy to find. The drive to Big Bend was also not too far. The cabin has all the essentials for a short visit & basically gives you what you need to get by for a vacation stay. I recommend staying there & would stay there again if in the area!

Desert Mountain Cabin-Grand Views

AmyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Penni sent great instructions for finding the cabin safely and getting in unassisted. She even let me know that it was available before check in time the day of my arrival. She also responded to my question about directions from another route, and checked in on me via message during my stay. The cabin was cozy and comfortable and peaceful with a beautiful view of the mountains. I would recommend it to singles and couples looking for a getaway near Big Bend National Park and close to Terlingua's restaurants.
