This was the perfect getaway, it was peaceful and remote as the other cottages on the property are well spaced out from each other. It was easy to feel relaxed and at home in the cottage and the hot tub was an additional treat. Would highly recommend staying here. :)

We had the best time! The scenery is better than the photos and the dam is such a bonus! Ruth was very responsive and a great host! A nice find was the La Mont restaurant - there is a beautiful, easy, dog friendly, walk to a waterfall on that farm and really affordable meat and cheese at factory prices. Beautiful surroundings. We can’t wait to go back!

We had a fantastic stay at the cabin! We loved the scenic walk to the sundowners deck and had a great time paddleboarding, fishing, and braaing. The jacuzzi was great, and the cabin was well-equipped with everything we needed in the kitchen. The views are absolutely breathtaking. Jackie was incredibly responsive and helpful, making check-in and check-out a breeze. I highly recommend this place—it's an absolute gem!

Beautiful, serene and peaceful. The cottages feel remote on the river and in the valley, but is 5 min away from the town.

What a Gem!!! We loved every second we spent there ! It was our 10th year Anniversary and we are glad that we had chosen this place to celebrate this special occasion. Waking up each morning to the stunning vineyards surrounded by majestic mountains and spending our evenings watching the sunset was truly magical. We felt so disconnected from the hustle and bustle of daily life and reconnected with nature and each other. There was absolutely nothing we needed, the farmhouse was fully stocked with everything to make our stay comfortable and everything was in great condition as well whether it is the Pool or the Boma or outdoor seating areas. Hildegard and Willem are very friendly, helpful and easy to communicate. We can't wait to come back and experience it all over again! 5 stars isn't enough - we'd give it 10 stars if we could!

Beautiful place and amazing host. Tim is a highly responsive host who went above and beyond to help us and make our stay great-- from the booking till the end of the stay. The location/farm is lovely, close to Franschhoek, and as advertised. The farm, the little creek, the hot tub, jungle gym, area for kids to explore-- super fun and relaxing. It was my husband's birthday and Tim helped us get reservations to a lovely place and organized the transfers-- making our holiday experience even better. I highly recommend this place.

an amazing gest away. Private, beautiful surroundings, if you looking for peaceful, this is it. home has everything you need and the pool is amazing to cool off in in the summer. breathtaking mountain views and great visits from the local bokke is a great touch. Will be back

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this accomodation. My two year old looooved the tractors and cows. Outdoor hot tub was delightful and the surprise of fresh bread, butter and milk on arrival was delicious. The only downside was not staying for longer.

Cabin is clean, comfy, and came equipped with all things like wood, coffee, etc. We booked for the surroundings / views (and hot tub!) which are incredible and everything we wanted. It is a very short drive from Tulbagh town, so easy to get around. Overall we loved the property and would stay again!

5 stars all around; the cottages were clean, nicely furnished, and had no issues in the kitchens or bathrooms. Spacious bedrooms and garden/patio space. The property is beautifully situated with stunning views of the local landscape. Graham was a great host, very responsive and accommodating, and stopped by once or twice to say hello and check up on us. Also gave us great advice on some local spots during our stay. Very straightforward & easy check-in and check-out, not like some places who give you a list of chores to do before leaving. If we ever are back in Franschhoek, we would definitely stay here again!

We had the most wonderful stay in Knysna. The home is modern, dreamy, and incredibly well-maintained, with breathtaking views that stretch endlessly into the Knysna woods. Our host was helpful and welcoming, making sure everything was perfect for our stay. The place was spotless and equipped with everything we needed. We will definitely be back for another stay!

Our stay at RiverStone was a delight. We stayed at both of Hermien's properties (see our review for HoneyOak as well) and both were brilliant. RiverStone is bigger but extremely comfortable (a wonderful shower!), a great braai (with as much wood provided as you could want) and a lovely location - peaceful, scenic and really convenient for Stellenbosch and around. Everything you could need for a short (and longer) stay is provided and you won't want for anything. Hermien is so friendly, helpful and communicative too - we will certainly return.

Chanél’s place is gorgeous - the perfect spot for us to relax for a week in beautiful surroundings. She was a wonderful host - very warm, welcoming and helpful. We’d recommend to anyone looking for a special stay in the countryside!

Jan was a great host and really made our stay feel like home. The house was incredible and we had an amazing stay. The area felt safe and the house was very thoughtfully decorated. Would recommend 12/10!

Loved it here! Much better even than the pictures, super cozy vibes, amazingly quiet, great couch and bed - perfect for a calm getaway! We spent Christmas there and it was perfect to cook there! Everything there you need. We also absolutely loved the fireplace. TV is super big too! There’s even a pool we could use and spend the afternoon there that was great too. Highly recommended!

We will definitely be back. This cottage is a pure pleasure to arrive. The owner is a Super star host and was very helpful and kind.

The house is very comfortable and perfect for a relaxing family getaway. The kitchen is well equipped and spacious. The garden is secure with lovely lawns for the kids to play. Carin is very friendly and showed us around the farm. The setting is wonderfully peaceful and private. The kids loved all the animals!

We loved our two nights away here, very special place. Great hikes around the nature reserve, and lots of little places to explore and hang out (loved our afternoon by the dam). The first day was ridiculously hot (38°C) but we used the hot tub as a cold dipping pool. Definitely recommend and will be back, maybe in winter to make full use of the hot tub!

We had a lovely stay at the Mongoose Manor. This house is one of a kind: the richly decorated and colourful interior, the huge swimming pool and the beautiful views on the mountains. The house was spotless and only the best quality linen was used. Caro and Peer were really friendly and thoughtful. They provided a lovely welcome package including fresh fruit, milk, water and local wines. The house is just outside of the center but it was a short and safe walk (also in the evening).

Our stay was awesome. Beautiful tranquil surrounds. Alison’s garden is like stepping into the pages of a gardening magazine, and the views! The cottage has beautiful classic/antique furniture and art with modern amenities. The cottage is wheelchair friendly. Great plus point. The cottage also is walking distance from a few wine farms and a brewery! Unfortunately, this part is not wheelchair friendly, ( unless you have a 4x4) and you do need semi decent shoes. The are is safe for joggers, and the scenery is unbelievable.
