My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Hoogwater Cottage. It was so peaceful and relaxing. The Hot tub was a favourite along with the indoor fireplace that kept the place cozy. Madri was responsive and came to check in on the first day to see if we settled in. We would definitely recommend this place for anyone that wants a relaxing getaway surrounded by nature.

Very pretty place. Gorgeous views. The lake was blissfully cool to swim in. The house lacked nothing. Jackie even had some plasters and panado in a little box for in case. Very thoughtful.

My darling husband planned our honeymoon accomodation and surprised me with this one-of-a-kind getaway. I was so excited to see a stunning yurt greet us when we turned the corner. We both mentioned how we felt transported to a scene from Out of Africa, or even further back to an ancient nomadic tent for royalty. We appreciated that every nook of this space was utilised therapeutically to the detail. We enjoyed sunbathing on the rooftop, strolling along the gorgeous apple-nectarine-pear-fig orchard at sunset, spotting fish while canoeing in the dam, reading the biodiversity book and peeping through binoculars, eating an easily self-catered dinner with champagne on the stoep/hammock, unwinding in the natural hot tub, and having a comfortable sleep under the useful mosquito nest. This is an impressively equipped abode that we would recommend to many of our friends who are also preparing to be married soon.

Beautiful, serene and peaceful. The cottages feel remote on the river and in the valley, but is 5 min away from the town.

What a lovely place is this. We really liked staying here and could recommend it to everyone. Lynne is a cute host with a dram house. Future goals for us!

Great Hideaway with beautiful vineyard surroundings. The house makes it easy to have a relaxed time, with a small pool, several outdoor and indoor seating areas and shady trees. Be aware that this is quite far off the beaten track though and that you need to take some dirt roads to get there. But all manageable in a regular car...

Skyroo is an absolute gem! The tranquility of the place is unmatched, and the venue itself is impeccably maintained. Despite being located on a stud farm, there wasn’t a single spider web inside the house—a testament to how well-kept it is. The pictures on Airbnb don’t do it justice; the house is 10 times better in person, with every detail thoughtfully considered. The host, Kathy, and her onsite team were exceptional. Their communication was outstanding, even when I lacked responsiveness on my end. From booking to departure, Kathy and John ensured everything ran smoothly, making our stay stress-free and enjoyable. I highly recommend Skyroo to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat in McGregor. Thank you to Kathy and the team for making our experience unforgettable!

We had a great stay at La Ferme. The cottage is well kept , very cosy and the hot tub exceptional. The garden is magnificent. Tim is friendly , proactive and share with us places of interest to visit. We do recommend and hope to come back. Eric & Nathalie

Kirsty was an amazing host! The property was perfect with everything we needed. The whole estate is so well kept. The rusks were delicious. I didn’t bring the correct adapters for the hairdryer and within minutes of me messaging her she produced one! We will definitely be back. Thank you so much. You should be very proud of such a fabulous property.

Cabin is clean, comfy, and came equipped with all things like wood, coffee, etc. We booked for the surroundings / views (and hot tub!) which are incredible and everything we wanted. It is a very short drive from Tulbagh town, so easy to get around. Overall we loved the property and would stay again!

This is a 5 star accommodation with the most beautiful bedroom and bathroom, attention to detail and peaceful souroundings with the most friendly and hospitable hosts, we will be back.

Beautiful, peaceful Airbnb with wonderful views. Very spacious with high ceilings and updated bathrooms. Great outdoor areas with gardens that are very well maintained. If we return to Franschoek, we would definitely book this Airbnb again!

Let me just say that this cottage is fantastic and serene! It’s the perfect place to explore Stellenbosch! Grocery store just minutes away The location is private and very relaxing! I highly recommend!!

Our stay with Simonie was wonderful. The cottage was beautiful and the hot tub was such a lovely spoil to look forward to every afternoon when we got home from a day of gallivanting in the wine lands. Would highly recommend staying here. Thank you for EVERYTHING Simonie❤️

This was one of the best places I have been too. So serene and beautiful. I even got rusks from Toinette on the kitchen table. I felt completely at home with Toinette's as a wonderful hostess. I will hopefully be back next year. Thank you so much Toinette!!

We had a wonderful time. The house is beautiful and very comfortable and spacious. The garden is lush and has different areas to use and explore. The location is very good if you want to explore the Helderberg area, but also well positioned if you want to use it as a base to explore a much larger area. Michiel and Carol are excellent hosts. They are friendly, proactive and responsive. We enjoyed our stay very much and we hope we can visit again sometime.

The big centeral area with the long table was a center of family fun activity; and the hot-tub was a huge hit.

We loved our stay at The Cabin. It felt like we were in a little bubble of peace and serenity in the most beautiful forest-like surroundings. The cabin had everything that we needed, and Diana was a wonderful host. We will definitely come back for another stay!

Wonderful house with beautiful surrounds. High quality throughout with everything one could possibly need. Walking distance from shops, very good restaurants, coffee shops etc. Perfect place to relax and unwind. Will definitely return. Hosting is best we've ever had, Eric and Jan are simply top class.

The stay at Ann’s place was brilliant. She is incredibly friendly and flexible and her place if spacious, clean, and has a great view into some vineyards. The area feels very safe and we loved our stay. We will definitely be back!

Loved it here! Much better even than the pictures, super cozy vibes, amazingly quiet, great couch and bed - perfect for a calm getaway! We spent Christmas there and it was perfect to cook there! Everything there you need. We also absolutely loved the fireplace. TV is super big too! There’s even a pool we could use and spend the afternoon there that was great too. Highly recommended!
