Great last minute break away. In a great spot easy to walk into town and the lake. The living space is beautiful and plenty of room for all of us. Overall a lovely home to stay in

Absolutely loved my stay; I’ve been coming to the Lakes for over 20 years and this place is the ultimate cosy retreat, just what you want to come back to after a long day out walking. The property has everything you need and is very dog friendly; I always come armed with blankets and towels but it makes it so much easier not having to worry about carpets and the coat stand came in very handy for drying things. The location is great; I arrived much later than planned in the dark and found it no problem. It feels very peaceful and private but Windermere high street is within walking distance. I will definitely be back again, thank you for a great stay!

This is a beautiful location with a fantastic view! The main bedroom is spectacular! The beds are also very comfortable! Would highly recommend!

We had a great family holiday here, beautiful bedrooms, great living space and the hot tub was spot on! It's within walking distance to Windermere and only a 30 min walk down to the pier.

Perfect location for the wedding we went to nearby and house has everything you need, plenty space and was spotless. Haylie was a really good host and very quick yo respond to questions and queries.

We had a lovely stay at Francesca's home to celebrate my wife's 40th birthday. 6 adults and 3 children were easily accommodated, and the space allowed us to have a fun catch-up. Fran's printed information sheets were great, and allowed us to make the most of our time there. Friendly, responsive host. We hope to be back!

We spent 5 nights here at the end of March and start of April 2025. We were really fortunate with the weather and took full advantage of the wonderful location: scaling Slight Side and Scafell on one day, riding to Coniston via the bridleway on another and 'bagging' most of the Coniston fells on another day via Wrynose Pass. We ate in on a couple of nights and also went to the Wainwright's for some pub grub, as well as Stoves for their evening menu. Simon and Belinda's place is very well situated in Great Langdale for all kinds of walks and rides, food and decent pints. The house itself is a lovely place to return to in the evening with easy parking outside for our van and once inside, everything is spotless, well equipped and cosy. We really appreciated all the helpful information on bike routes and walking routes and spent the late evenings by the fire pouring over the Wainwright books planning the next day's adventures. 100% recommended.

Stayed for 2 nights in the caravan, was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. In a lovely location close to the sea front.

Denise was extremely helpful and approachable. She took the time to send a few messages to ensure we were clear on check in. Denise welcomed us and showed us to the lodge. The lodge was super clean, well equipped and Denise even supplied the basic condiments, tea, coffee, juice, milk with some welcome biscuits thrown in! The lodge was also dog friendly. The kids loved their bed room and we were all very comfortable. We had a great stay and the lodge more than met our needs. We plan to return.

Beautiful little cabin surrounded by stunning scenery, with many great places to visit within a short driving distance. The cabin had everything we needed for our stay. Andy provided lots of useful information and tips regarding the local area. We'll definitely be coming back again!

The caravan was lovely and felt like home. Found a lovely easter treat in the fridge 😋 and lots of little homly perks around the caravan which made us smile. Check in instructions were straight forward and detailed directions were given in plenty of time of arrival. Prompt responses from lisa and paul throughout the duration of our stay with useful tips to make life easier. A very enjoyable holiday in a lovely home and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Only slight downside was the shower temperature. (Not sure if its shower related or user error 🤣) However, It did not ruin our holiday or our stay in any way and would definaltly love to come back again in the future for a longer stay to explore more of the surroundings. My husband and I stayed at Tethera for the long Easter weekend and we loved the cottage. It had everything we needed. Emma really has thought of everything and more. From a binder full of helpful information, well stocked kitchen with some welcome goodies, cozy living room, perfectly fluffy linen to towels for our dog, Yoda. The shower has great water pressure too! We live in London and really liked how peaceful and private it was. Yoda loved all the new scents and the animals around too! We locked ourselves out one day and Emma responded within minutes. We loved the fresh eggs her hens lay and got some back home as well. I would recommend the place to everyone. It’s spotless, extremely comfortable and perfectly placed for all the nice hikes and pretty towns of Lake District to be easily accessible. Perfect cottage with an equally perfect host.

This is a lovely place to stay in a quiet, peaceful location. Great view from the windows with lots of greenery. Coniston is nearby and a lovely spot for exploring. Comfy beds, clean bathroom and good shower- all the essentials! Hosts were also accommodating when we had a last minute change of plans due to flight times.

Windermere Cottage was a perfect spot for exploring the lakes. Plenty of space for 5 adults and a dog with 3 bedrooms all en-suite. A 2 minute walk into Windermere and lots of food and cafe options along with a Co-op, Boots and WHSmiths along with lots of lovely local shops and cafes. The cottage was easy to find, pristine and great facilities. Alison was timely in communication and offered some friendly advice on places to eat as well as providing a lovely bottle of wine and chocolate biscuits on our arrival. Thank you for a lovely stay. Would highly recommend.

we loved our stay in Longtown. Andrea's caravan was absolutely spotless, so comfortable and spacious for the 4 of us and our lab dog. the property have everything we needed. Beds were comfortable. The shower was FANTASTIC! normally I dread caravan showers but this was bliss. Communication was ideal. Always a really prompt reply. We would love to book again.

I stayed with my Mum and Sister for my Mums 70th birthday trip. We had a lovely stay. The Lodge is absolutely beautiful and actually nicer than even the pictures show. The location is beautiful, breath taking fews and it was a delight to see the animals. Jade and her husband were so welcoming and friendly. We couldn't have wished for a better trip. Thank you

I took my 23 year old daughter here for a couple of days hiking with her pooch.. we had a lovely time, reallt nice and quite location. Amanda gives you plenty of useful information before you arrive. The hot tub stayed nice and hot yoo. We had a reallt lovely time and will definitely visit here again.

Just back from a couple of nights stay at Low Moss. It lived up to expectations in every which way. Easy to find and clear directions given on the route from the main road. Perfect spot for couples to go and escape for a while. Kitchen has everything you could need and the living room is nice and cosy to sit on the sofa with the fire on either reading a book or watching some tv. The bed is huge and got some solid sleep in on it, and obviously the bath is an extra nice touch. We were lucky when looking to see the dates free that we went and we’ll be keeping and eye for the future as we’d definitely go back for another stay.

Charming cosy cottage in a nice village slightly away from the more crowded parts of the Lake District. Very clean and welcoming, large comfortable bed, excellent communication with the hosts Morven and Philip. Parking not right at the cottage but on the street just a minute away so not a problem. Highly recommended for a Lake District visit.
