Cabin vacation rentals in Bowstring Lake

We were lucky to have fabulous weather. We took a few pontoon rides, went to Zorbaz, did some fishing (the Sunfish were biting like crazy!), played some corn hole, and had a great bon fire. We were celebrating our Family Christmas ... so we played Christmas carols around the campfire (tee, hee, hee!). Think about it ... when was the last time you got to swim, in Minnesota, in a lake, at the end of September? The kids had a great time jumping off pontoon when swimming. We were sad to not have a sandy beach to swim from, but clearly that didn't stop us from swimming. Enjoying the water from the middle of the lake was a lot of fun. The sleeping arrangement was perfect for all of us. The cabin was beautiful and was a great place for all of us. Thanks for the great memories!

Great location for hitting ATV trails or going fishing. The house was comfortable and had everything we needed for cooking. Would stay here again.

Loved everything about this place. Beds were comfortable! My kids enjoyed catching fish right off of the dock, and on the other multiple fishing spots on the lot. It was also nice to have a fishing boat to use. The cabin was adorable. Perfect Minnesota touches with the decor. We came up north to spread Nana’s ashes in Grand Rapids, and we made a vacation out of it. Memories were made here, as Nana would have wanted.

The cabin was exactly what the wife and I were looking for. Quiet, clean and secluded. We loved the sun room and screened porch to avoid the bugs. The grill was a welcomed addition. We would definitely come back. Wonderful place. Also a great place for our dog. Very pet friendly and clean considering. 10/10

What a cozy, comfy spot to enjoy steamy coffee on the beautiful screened in deck porch overlooking lake, fish from the dock or enjoy a bonfire at sunset on a private little beach! Quiet, clean and relaxing- a perfect getaway! We left an item at The Boathouse and Rob had it in the mail the same day! We look forward to a return visit!

This is our 4th time back …..our girls grew up vacationing at an Uncle’s cabin near Big Fork. When our granddaughters were born our daughter wanted the same laid back summer memories that she holds dear to her heart. Sandra’s place has become that “place” for our now larger family.

We had the best stay at Oda Hus. The listing photos are beautiful but nothing compares to being there in person. Thanks to Matt & co. for the hospitality!

The Nest was perfect for six of us to spend a weekend in a natural and peaceful setting at the lake. We would definitely stay here again, there a few kayaks and a couple of canoes, too.

We will definitely be coming back!! This resort is a gem. It’s located on a beautiful point on a clear, quiet lake. The cabins were recently renovated and adorably decorated while still maintaining a feeling of nostalgia and a quaint cabin feeling. The pictures don’t do it justice. You feel like you’re on a boat staring out the cabin window because the water is so close. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. They also have provided everything you would need for a fun, family getaway-games, sports equipment, a playground, a fun communal gathering space with a store, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, life jackets, etc.

Some friends and I stayed at Steve’s place for a couples weekend up north and the place was perfect! Nice and spacious with a hot tub and only a minute or so walk to the bar. Would definitely recommend and would come back!

We celebrated Christmas and the lakeside setting was perfect! Very comfy beds.

Great house and a beautiful lake overlook. Location was perfect for bringing ATVs with and getting on the trails. The lake was great for fishing and the hot tub was very enjoyable.

Quiet and clean. The big dining room table is perfect for doing puzzles or other projects. The deck is a great spot to watch sunsets or look at the stars on a clear night. Savanna Portage state park is nearby with some lovely hiking trails.

Incredible cabin on a very peaceful lake. I personally do not think I could’ve chosen a better place for a peaceful/luxurious stay with beautiful fall colors to compliment. Absolutely ideal location fit for a sizable group!

Our family had a great experience at Little Buck Camp! The house was very clean and the kitchen was well stocked. There was plenty of comfortable seating for our whole group in the kitchen and living room areas and the game room was a lot of fun! Maria was very responsive and promptly answered any questions we had. The property was very peaceful and private as well.

Perfect stay and perfect price for an overnight. Tiffany was very nice and easy to work with. The cabin was clean and bed was comfortable.

Upon arrival after 10pm we had to contact the host due to a breaker being tripped and having no lights in one of the bedroom/bathrooms. The breaker box was in a locked room. We were able to get ahold of someone within about 20 minutes and the problem was resolved! This house was immaculate. You could still smell the varnish because it's SO new! The best benefit for us were the attached bathrooms onto EVERY bedroom! I wish every VRBO/Airbnb would have that! Very nice house! Close to the boat launch... caught some fish off the dock. Large washing machine, on demand hot water, no mosquitos, very nice garage, deck, fire pit! The kids enjoyed playing foosball. The only recommendation- have a few games in there (we forgot ours- but I'm sure being new, they just haven't gotten any in there!) Not too far from SXS trails, which is one of the reasons we were there! Again, very nice house!

We had a wonderful stay! The house was so cozy and we loved the wood burning stove. The cabin is tucked back in the woods and is very private which we loved. We definitely would like to come back in the summer to enjoy the lake as well!

My family and I had a wonderful stay at this lakeside cabin. The cabin was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed. The lake was peaceful and serene, great for boating on the included pontoon boat or simply enjoying the natural beauty of the lake. Our kids loved exploring the shoreline and fishing off the dock. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a tranquil family vacation.

We had a little girls trip here (myself and 5 other girls) and we had a great time! It was a perfect get away from the series. It was super fun to hike around the 10 acres of land. There are plenty of cute towns close by that are super fun to explore as well. Overall it was fantastic!

I loved this place. A nice out of the way cabin, with plenty of solitude but enough amenities (washer, dryer, dishwasher) to make it comfortable for a 2 week stay. I’m hoping to make a return trip next year.

They responded right away when we had questions. The place was clean and had the amenities that we needed for cooking. The only thing I will say is that the roku doesn't work the best. It is nice to have that when its winter time.
