The reviews are exactly as stated. The place is very clean and, very comfortable. The kitchen as well set up to cook your meals. Coffee supplied along with tea. White towels were perfect - bed linen was fresh. Absolutely great value. The host was gracious and accommodating. This is what Airbnb is supposed to be. Thanks for the great stay! This place was perfect for our family of three. Great location, perfect amount of space and a great kitchen for meals. We would love to visit again in the warmer weather to make full use of the balcony and back yard. We would recommend checking this place out to see if it meets your needs . Host was fantastic, helpful and responsive.

Driving through the Ganaraska forest is magical. Watching the creek from the window listening to the wind in the trees was very peaceful. Tom is a great guy feels like we're visiting Pops and having all the comforts of home available. I love the ice machine from the fridge and the AC units installed for us. We enjoyed roasting our hotdogs and smores. Our furbabies welcomed is very appreciated. There's fresh eggs around the corner. Although the place is upstairs we only had to move in once and get some stair steps in regularly. Very comfortable here and we are blessed to be welcome here.

Lydia's place was like a home away from home. was easy to get to and close to a lot of the places we were visiting. Was clean and was exactly as described. I would recommend the stay to anyone looking for a great place while they check out Toronto or visiting family(as we did).

I had the pleasure of staying at Edwina and Mike’s retreat, and it was truly heavenly. Their home provided everything I needed to maintain my calm during a renovation at my own property. Reading by the fireplace while enjoying my favorite jazz and classical music was the perfect escape. As an interior designer, I appreciated the cottage-like charm of the space. Every piece of decor, fixture, and piece of furniture was delightful, comforting, and thoughtfully designed. It was neat and creative, with every detail in place. They had everything you could possibly need—and more! The closets were stocked with essentials, making me feel right at home. I stayed here with my 22-month-old daughter, and she loved every moment. Plus, the presence of a diaper genie was a thoughtful touch. There wasn’t a single detail overlooked! Hands down, this is the best place I’ve stayed at in a really long time, and I can’t recommend it enough!

What an amazing stay. A perfect little retreat close to everything you need. The service was incredible.....my only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I will definitely keep this on "my list" for in the future.

Charming modernized log cabin in an enchanting setting. Spacious, well-appointed rooms and lots to do on site and in the surroundings. Enjoyed dinners in the screened outdoor dining room, dips in the pool, and s'mores at the firepit. Convenient midpoint for family convening from Ottawa and Toronto! Super helpful and responsive hosts!

Ali is an amazing host. She came out right away to greet us and the check in was smooth. The place is everything we expected and more. The backyard felt like our own little oasis. Super private and the pictures don’t do it justice. We had everything we needed. My only recommendation is if the hot tub isn’t warming up, just make sure it’s full because that prevents it from heating up which we couldn’t figure out at first. Ali, however made sure to top it up for us so no complaints there. Also a sink to wash dishes would be helpful but we can’t complain because we came prepared for an awesome glamping experience. I definitely recommend staying here. It’s so close to the city too. We will be back!! Lastly, if you get a chance go check out The Snug- it’s a cute Irish pub within walking distance with great food!! Thank you for the amazing get away. That was the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Cabin on the Ridge (Santa's Cabin) was truly a guest experience. All comforts and details were well thought out and made you feel welcome. It was a perfect place for our family when travelling. We came from out of town as a family of three generations together. We needed a place where everyone could enjoy down time seperate from the daily adventures. Everyone's needs were met here; board games and movies in the living room, meals together around the picnic and dinner table, morning coffee lounging under the trees. Beds and sleeping arrangements were very comfortable without strong detergents or sprays on the blankets or linens. Well planned space, very functional for a group of people to move around and enjoy. Perfectly updated to keep the history and unique qualities of the original building in tact. Also fun to spend time in such a unique space. My parents loved their comfortable master suite amd my son loved the cozy loft. Can't say enough about this place and the hosts!

This is an honest-to-goodness off-grid experience in nature - just over an hour from Toronto. That's a miracle in and of itself. The place oozes authenticity and charm. Of you're looking to disconnect... and reconnect with nature, this is a great spot!
