Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Bowmanville

While journeying from the UK to Port Perry, we were fortunate to stay at the Horse Farm Luxury Estate for a week in September. Situated next to a riding school, the tranquil area was perfect for relaxation. Horses grazed in the paddock beside the house – their beauty admired from a distance as per the rule 'do not touch the horses'. The house's position was ideal for exploring the surrounding area, including Port Perry, with easy access to nearby highways for visits to Oshawa, Toronto, and even Niagara Falls. The spacious house had numerous amenities, such as a basement games room and a ground floor club area with a bar. A conservatory connected to a deck and hot tub. Anthony's great communication and assistance made our stay stress-free after a long journey. I highly recommend Horse Farm Luxury Estate for a comfortable stay in Port Perry.

Lovely place overlooking the Rouge National Park. Moments drive to the Toronto Zoo. Place was clean, easy to get to, and hosts were communicative and friendly the entire time. Definitely recommended.

Cheryl’s farmhouse is amazing! The large kitchen is spectacular and the beds were very comfortable. There was so much space for our family to relax during our visit. There are stairs to get to the bedrooms, so probably not the right fit for guests with mobility issues, but for our family it was perfect.

The location suited us well, coming from 200- 400 Km away, It was easy to find and fresh snow (not Jim's doing) added to the beauty of the scenery. For some it was a first, making snow angels wit bare skin, then warming up in the hot tub. A greatfamily get together.

We had a wonderful stay here! The space was cozy, clean and well-maintained. The host, Damian was very welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed, including a detailed binder with all the necessary information about the place, appliances and great recommendations for local spots to check out. Our favorite part was the cozy electric fireplace which provided us with the warmth during this cold weekend! The location is great, a peaceful and quiet neighborhood. Around 45 mins away from Toronto by public transit. Also, the hosts were responsive and flexible in terms of check out, as we wanted to check out around 12pm instead of 11am. Highly recommend this AirBNB to anyone looking for a relaxing, well location and comfortable spot in Ajax. We would definitely book this place again if we plan on visiting!

Driving through the Ganaraska forest is magical. Watching the creek from the window listening to the wind in the trees was very peaceful. Tom is a great guy feels like we're visiting Pops and having all the comforts of home available. I love the ice machine from the fridge and the AC units installed for us. We enjoyed roasting our hotdogs and smores. Our furbabies welcomed is very appreciated. There's fresh eggs around the corner. Although the place is upstairs we only had to move in once and get some stair steps in regularly. Very comfortable here and we are blessed to be welcome here.

I had the pleasure of staying at Edwina and Mike’s retreat, and it was truly heavenly. Their home provided everything I needed to maintain my calm during a renovation at my own property. Reading by the fireplace while enjoying my favorite jazz and classical music was the perfect escape. As an interior designer, I appreciated the cottage-like charm of the space. Every piece of decor, fixture, and piece of furniture was delightful, comforting, and thoughtfully designed. It was neat and creative, with every detail in place. They had everything you could possibly need—and more! The closets were stocked with essentials, making me feel right at home. I stayed here with my 22-month-old daughter, and she loved every moment. Plus, the presence of a diaper genie was a thoughtful touch. There wasn’t a single detail overlooked! Hands down, this is the best place I’ve stayed at in a really long time, and I can’t recommend it enough!

What an amazing stay. A perfect little retreat close to everything you need. The service was incredible.....my only regret is that I didn't stay longer. I will definitely keep this on "my list" for in the future.

Charming modernized log cabin in an enchanting setting. Spacious, well-appointed rooms and lots to do on site and in the surroundings. Enjoyed dinners in the screened outdoor dining room, dips in the pool, and s'mores at the firepit. Convenient midpoint for family convening from Ottawa and Toronto! Super helpful and responsive hosts!

Ali is an amazing host. She came out right away to greet us and the check in was smooth. The place is everything we expected and more. The backyard felt like our own little oasis. Super private and the pictures don’t do it justice. We had everything we needed. My only recommendation is if the hot tub isn’t warming up, just make sure it’s full because that prevents it from heating up which we couldn’t figure out at first. Ali, however made sure to top it up for us so no complaints there. Also a sink to wash dishes would be helpful but we can’t complain because we came prepared for an awesome glamping experience. I definitely recommend staying here. It’s so close to the city too. We will be back!! Lastly, if you get a chance go check out The Snug- it’s a cute Irish pub within walking distance with great food!! Thank you for the amazing get away. That was the perfect break from the hustle and bustle of the city.

Ashley's cottage was beyond our expectations with every well-thought detail making it a warm, rustic, authentic and cozy experience. It was also very beautiful in the snow, with our kids watching the snow fall from the windows next to their beds in the loft. The hosts had thought of everything, including things that we never knew we needed - blankets close to the couch to snuggle up for movie night, popcorn in the pantry, cheese sticks in the refrigerator, etc. While we were only looking for a place close to the ski hills for a few days, we ended up not wanting to leave the cottage much. It was a good thing that Uber Eats delivered to the place, which was very unexpected for us. All in all, this cottage was the most memorable Canadian winter home our family has stayed in. We would certainly hope to stay there again some day, perhaps for the next ski season!

This is an honest-to-goodness off-grid experience in nature - just over an hour from Toronto. That's a miracle in and of itself. The place oozes authenticity and charm. Of you're looking to disconnect... and reconnect with nature, this is a great spot!
