A great place, very cozy! :) There was even coffee and a wide selection of tea available as well as games for the kids. However, the apartment is not quite as suitable for small children, as the furnishings are not child-friendly (cleaning agents, glasses, knives and lighter at child height and leaning, large mirror). Too bad we couldn't use the outdoor area because of rain, which looked so inviting. It would be nice if you could also darken the living room, because there is also a sleeping area there. The booking and communication with the host went smoothly. Overall a nice place in a central location, which I can definitely recommend.

The refurbished barn is extremely spacious and tasteful furnished. The overall experience is far away from the usual Ikea-style rentals. Countless details tell the story of an architectural project where money, brains and heartblood have been spent. We enjoyed our stay a lot. The surrounding is also quite pretty - oak and beech alleys next to small streams.

The location was great - very close to the lake and restaurants, 20 min walk to the center. There is also a bus stop one minute away, so it is well connected. The apartment itself was spacious and clean, has two nice balconies, good amenities (including laundry in the basement), quiet building. There were several restaurants, a playground and a convenience store withing 5 min walk. It doesn't have an elevator (and is on the forth floor), but we were able to leave the stroller downstairs in the basement/storage area. Also, there is no AC, but most of the times it wasn't hot enough to matter.

From the moment we booked, communication was seamless and prompt. Bernd and Jani were incredibly kind and proactively helpful, making sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The property itself was exactly as described—clean, well-maintained, and a true gem. It offered great value for the price, and it was perfect for our family's needs. The location was ideal, the amenities were spot on, and the check-in process was smooth and easy. We are truly thankful for Bernd and Jani's hospitality and the care they put into making our month-long stay so pleasant. I felt very comfortable in the apartment, despite the no longer quite modern furnishings. The apartment is large enough, sparkling clean and communication with Fred was very pleasant. The location is very quiet, which also means that a car is helpful. The apartment is very well suited as a base for hikes in the Teutoburg Forest. I can recommend the apartment with a clear conscience.

We were very satisfied with the place! Room layout very well implemented and in the small kitchen there was still good space and above all very well equipped! The apartment is close to the center and you can also walk into the city. Since the apartment is out the back, it was very quiet. Parking at the house is also great. Highly recommended!
