Waterfront vacation rentals in Bocas del Toro Province

The room and view from the room is beautiful. The place was clean, comfortable, and the host communicated well. For me the place was a bit too noisy and lacked some privacy. The room is right next to the communal area where people jump into the ocean and they will be swimming and walking right in front of your room.

Nice, clean place. 5 minute walk to town. Nice beach close by.

Stunning outdoor space with priceless views with loungers and hammocks!! Inside had everything needed for home away from home. Easy access for water taxing to anywhere. Walkable to store or restaurants. Being our first time in Bocas this home made it special!

Nadia and Salvatore were absolutely great and helpful (even making sure we get our things back after forgetting something), only 2 minutes after arriving we saw a sloth really close, you can hear the ocean waves all day and night and walk to an amazing beach. This place is wonderful for coming down and relaxing. It’s a bit of the grid if you don’t have a car, just be prepared that there are no shops around and it’s 15$ for a taxi to town, but it’s quiet and beautiful and the perfect place to be in nature away from Bocas town. Perfect place for my family and once I realized there are multiple private units on the same property I invited my mother and sister to rent the other units allowing us to all stay together yet have our own space as well. This place is DIRECTLY in front of tiger tail surf break and within view of paunch surf break which is less than a 5 min walk down the beach to access. Being the only surfer in my family this location was still perfect for everyone!

Nice house on the rustic side, although that is not at all out of character with the surroundings: Bocas del Toro very is laid-back and informal, not pampered luxury. The location was beautiful; beach on one side (but not swimmable for amateurs) and growth/jungle/monkeys/parrots on the other side. House had a nice layout and a well-equipped kitchen; split-level air conditioning worked sufficiently. Note that the upper bedroom loft is open and not very private. Within walking distance of good restaurants/beach joints, which were fun to go to. Taxis are plentiful and cheap, although we rented a car for more flexibility. The on-site people, including Tyson, were gracious, responsive and helpful.

My wife and I loved our stay at this beautiful home on Isla Bastimentos. The location is great. You can be swimming in warm water just a few steps from the front doors of the home. We recommend visiting the nearby Isla Zapatillas which are a short boat ride away. Fernando, the boat captain, can help you with that. Remember to stock up on groceries and drinks in Bocas Town before you head to Isla Bastimentos. There is a restaurant close by in the Azul Paradise resort (cash only), but if you want more variety then cooking in the well equipped kitchen at the home is a great option, as long as you plan for that. Overall, this home is a great place to relax and enjoy nature and the beautiful surroundings.

When you stay at Helena’s, she is not only your host, she goes above and beyond connecting you with her local network (water taxi drivers, tour guides, surf instructors, restaurant owners….) and makes herself readily available to answer your questions. The open concept to her home was a dream. Helena had extraordinary vision when designing it. Falling sleep to the sound of the waves and nature, being able to jump off her dock for a swim or a float on a noodle made it easy to cool off on hot days. Her central location and setup made it easy to flag down a water taxi to get around, there is so much do to in the vicinity. The home remains private due to the beautiful greenery between her house and the water. I do recommend asking Helena what days to expect music on the island across the water and to be prepared for those nights if you are a light sleeper like me. I highly recommend staying at Helena’s. It was exactly the unique Island experience we were looking for.

Stunningly beautiful!! The house location and grounds were amazing! You pretty much have your own private beach with pretty decent snorkeling right in front. One of our favorite excursions from there was walking on the beach to Playa Estrella. Took us around 45 minutes with young kids and stopping tons to take pictures all along the way of the gorgeous views and clear waters and picturesque palm trees. The house was comfortable and beautifully furnished. Our favorite spot was the sunset view corner with comfy chairs and dreamy views. We saw tons of Cacique birds in the jungle trees out front. More hummingbirds visit the tropical garden flowers than you can even count....howler monkeys performing every morning... the sound of the waves lapping at night. Fully stocked kitchen where we made all our meals. Dave a stellar host, helpful, friendly, and attentive to anything we needed. We did not get to meet Vanessa and Jack but they were always very cordial in our messaging. Highly recommend!

We had a great time in Eduardo’s place! Very peaceful deck which we enjoyed during sunny and rainy days. Falling asleep while listening the waves was definitely experience! There was a great coffee place walking distance (5min). Or we went to Bocas nice walk (45min) or easy to catch a ride.

While the house was a bit more bare bones than the pictures suggested, it was a very cool, architecturally interesting place, with a stunning view of the ocean. It was very clean, comfortable, and had a great little tide pool to explore right beyond the beautiful deck. Lola and her assistant, Ezequiel were very responsive when we had questions or needed something to be addressed at the house. The house was conveniently located within a short taxi ride from downtown Bocas but also it was nice to have it a bit outside the busy downtown area. There is a cute little coffee shop within a block of the house that serves great coffee, breakfast foods, and smoothies. Overall, it was a great place to stay for our trip. I would definitely stay there again, if I'm ever so luck to be back in Bocas Del Toro!

We spent 1 month at Filiberto home and everything went very well. Filliberto is a very kind, fascinating and funny person. Thank you for everything we will come back with great pleasure :)
