Bungalow vacation rentals in Bocas del Toro Province

we had a wonderful stay here for a long weekend. it was really easy to get to, we took a water taxi from bocas town and they took us right to the dock on site. the staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful (not to mention great cooks, the breakfast was amazing). they were thoughtful and helped us set up an excursion, and gave recommendations. the bungalow was lovely, everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable. all in all we loved our time here. the only draw back that I would warn about is that if you are a light sleeper, the local roosters do start up early in the morning, so you might want some ear plugs (but that's just a reality anywhere in panamá).

The place was decent other than the mattresses for the spare beds were pretty lumpy. We didn’t ask for any sort of help with those but I feel the owner should consider replacing them. Oven was turned on whether you liked it or not if it was plugged in. Kitchen has very basic appliances and utensils but served us just fine(except for the lack of a toaster). When we first got there it was suggested we communicate with Carolina through WhatsAp which is fine but we asked if there was a toaster, responded right away but ask for an additional pillow and she didn’t respond until I sent another msg through Airbnb. After that communication was spot on. The neighborhood seems poor and run down but everyone is nice and friendly. Lots of garbage floating in under the suite but they try to clean it as much as possible. All and all I would consider staying there again but would probably want to see other options just cause.

We were really happy with El Clandestino. Our place, and maybe all of them, had a wonderful very private patio with chairs, a table, and a hammock. The room was a good size and very comfortable. Drinks were great. Food was excellent. There were several other guests there at the same time and we had a lot of fun meeting and chatting with them as well. Especially for the price, this place is amazing. After staying here I would have expected to pay more.

Clarisse is an excellent host and welcoming host. Great location, the view is incredible and the food was terrific. Paddle boarding was really enjoyable the water was so calm and warm. The casita was perfect for me and waking up to that view is amazing. I look forward to my next trip to Bocas after spending time at this establishment. It is truly a hidden gem and they have a pool so if your not comfortable in the warm calm salt water, you can always take a dip in the pool. The birds are plentiful as the other wildlife that visit the property, and taking some time to look around and you may see a sloth peeking back at you. Great place for a couple to have a jungle adventure without forgoing the modern amenities.

Amazing stay. Stacy was a wonderful host, super responsive, as were the rest of the staff. They even let me use the room until my evening flight without a late checkout fee which was extremely kind. Wish I could have stayed longer!

Clarisse is a super host! Always ready to help with a smile. Beautiful surroundings, pure nature, very quiet and peaceful. Besides all this she is a wonderful cook, she prepared a delicious vegan meal for us with an excellent dessert! Also terrific breakfast served, all very delicious. Thank you

Wonderful stay in a fantastically beautiful location with roaring monkeys and fluttering hummingbirds all around you. The owner's dogs and cat also came to visit us every day. The location is in a quieter part of the island yet you can quickly get into Bocas Town or Bluff Beach ( bike, e-bike or taxi) without your own car. There is some hospitality around the accommodation if you don't want to cook yourself. But cooking yourself in the nice outdoor kitchen is definitely not a punishment :-). Very spacious bathroom with blissfully warm shower and lots of natural light. Recommended for a quiet holiday!

The place is quiet, beautiful view

We absolutely recommend this place! Michelle is an absolutely great host! She welcomed us from second 1 with a big smile and great hospitality! We wanted to extend our stay after the first day but unfortunately it is booked till september. There are only a few days left in between bookings, so if you find a free slot, grab the chance & book immediately! The room is even bigger than in the pictures, there is a kitchen with everything you need but we would recommend to book Michelles dinner! It‘s amazingly fresh home grown carribean food! The morning view is just great. If you‘re lucky enough you can even see dolphins coming by when you‘re still sleepy and cozy in bed! Nature at it‘s best! With the Kajaks which we did an on-water-stroll around the island! We saw plenty of beautiful fish, starfish and corals in all its forms (which are all around the house, too!) To keep it short: absolute worth the visit! Thanks Michelle for this sweet encounter and adventure! We‘ll defo come back!
