If you are looking for a quiet area where you can enjoy nature and the beach is your place. The hotel had all the facilities you could need, the food is rich and Nahuel made great cocktails. To get there, you have all the facilities, by public transport or by taxi, with a taxi that makes it easy for you to number.

The Firefly was an amazing relaxing getaway. Tucked into a lush seaside spot. It seemed very private and quiet but really just steps from quaint Old Bank. Staff were attentive and fun but never invasive We had great breakfasts and looked forward to trying everything on their dinner menu, The creative and fresh options were a highlight

Firefly is a really cute place to stay on Bastimentos island! If not for the rooms, be sure to try at least the food: it was nothing short of amazing! And breakfast is included too, and those didn't disappoint! We were greatly welcomed with drinks and recommendations as well. The room is typical of Bocas: water from rainwater, no A/C but fans (the room is near the ocean so there's fresh air, works pretty well), basic bathroom. Nothing fancy but it's functional and part of the island's charm. The only downside we found was that although it's facing the ocean (beautiful view and sunsets!), there isn't a beach nor places to really swim (water is accessible but it isn't easy). For a sand beach you'll have to walk to town and do a short hike (about 30mn total from Firefly). We recommend the place for sure !

The property is built to high quality and has a great view of the sea as well as Bird Island. The sun loungers and chairs on the terrace invite you to relax. The room was clean and had plenty of storage space. The fan in the room ensured pleasant air circulation at night. The property's restaurant deserves special mention. The food was of the highest quality and the cocktails of the bar were delicious! The friendly and helpful team was always on hand. Their warm hospitality contributed significantly to the fact that I felt very comfortable here. The Wi-Fi availability was sufficient, but the transmission capacity due to the Starlink connection was sometimes greatly limited. Overall, my stay at this place was outstanding and I would recommend it to anyone. If you are looking for a place to escape it all while enjoying nature, then this is the place for you!

We spent only two nights in La Luciérnaga, but we would have wanted it to be many more. One of the best places I've stayed in-clean, beautiful, comfortable, and with warm and attentive hosts to the well-being of their guests. Carlo and his family are attentive and polite, excellent people. The room is just as you can see in the photos, the bathroom has a nice shower and with a refreshing and invigorating flow. The bed is super comfortable and sleeps lulled by the sounds of nature. Kitchen area is complete and comfortable and the terrace space with hammocks is relaxing. The wifi is great. Although it is about 4 km away from the center of Bocas, it is easy to get around by taxi or walk a little to take the public minibus. It is halfway to Playa Bluff and La Piscina and close to where you can take the mic to go to Playa de Las Estrellas. And the cherry on the cake: breakfast. Just delicious. Homemade food with details from Italy. Highly recommended! <3

I had a great stay at La Luciernaga. Carlo and his wife are amazing, they welcome you and give you all recommendations to enjoy your stay. The breakfast is just EXCELLENT!!! Fresh fruits, eggs and the surprise du chef … you can have a chat with Tabi the female cat of the house in the dining area. The place is quiet, a little far from the centre and you can hear birds in the early morning. Room is clean, with private bathroom and they even provide beach towels. I used taxi to go from and to other places, it’s usually 3USD for the city centre. Carlo will give you some taxi numbers in case you need them. I strongly recommend La Luciernaga for your stay at Bocas del toro.

10/5 stars. We had an amazing time in that AirBnB! Carlo and his wife have been very friendly and proactiv! They had good recommandations and offered to Book anything for us. The breakfast was our personal highlight, especially that we got local Special Food and super fresh local fruits. The outdoor kitchen was very practical and gave us a nice vibe. The room Service was cleaner than we could ever be! Thank you!

Cassandra and her family are wonderful hosts. We booked this king unit and the villa for our group of 6 which was more than enough space. Everything described in the overview is exactly what to expect. Cassandra is amazing at communicating and truly made our experience significantly better by providing us the needed contacts for various activities like a masseuse and a catamaran tour.

Wonderful 4 day stay at Sally and Mike's. If the house and surroundings are beyond gorgeous, the attentiveness and warmth of the hosts are top notch. Felt at home right away. Hosts are very proactive and will share their recommendations for a perfect stay, from day excursions to taxis, beaches, or restaurants with daily specials. Very comfortable room, extremely clean, quiet and private. Great attention to detail. Delicious breakfasts and wonderful atmosphere with the other guests. Very clean water in the bay allowed for morning or afternoon swims, kayaking or simply floating away on water beds right from the deck. Transportation to Bocas town or other beaches on the island is quick and cheap (3 min walk to main road, $1-$2 per person to town by public bus or taxi). Water taxis are also an option and will bring you back straight to the house dock after dinner at local restaurants. What else can you need for a perfect relaxing vacation? Highly recommended. We've used Airbnb extensively, but our stay with Sally and Mike was top-notch, easily in our top three experiences. It was sad to leave their lovely place, complete with adorable cats. Our room and the shared spaces were perfect, and evenings on the porch overlooking the water were pure magic. Sally and Mike anticipate every need, making every detail count—from the comfortable bed to the thoughtful amenities. They're not just great hosts but also caring people who look out for their community and environment. They offered fantastic tips and the use of their kayak and other gear. Mike's breakfasts were a delight. Truly, our stay was nothing short of fantastic. We deeply miss them and their wonderful home. Best, Jenny and Jan
