Everyone enjoyed staying here! Came up for a football game! Met the neighbor. Super nice people! Loved seeing the deer in the area! Couldn’t believe we saw 2 large bucks walking around during the day! Wish we had our boat! Beautiful looking across the lake and seeing the fall foliage!

Words would never be able to describe how much I loved this home. This is not a typical Airbnb/rental house, Julia’s house literally feels like a home. This home is very well maintained for its age and the love for this historic home really shines through. Julia’s home has so much character and charm, it’s not cluttered by any means but does have a lot of knickknacks that are well thought out. The second parlor provides many magazines, books, and brochures to educate guest about the area. The home is a very short walk to a few of the local shops and the home is nestled right in the historic neighborhood. As others have mentioned and Julia even agrees, parking can be a little tricky if you have multi cars but Hinton has adequate street parking just a short 1-2 minute walk. Julia was helpful and responsive when we asked her questions prior to our stay. I am looking forward to staying in this wonderful home again when I’m back in the Hinton area.

Had a great stay! Very peaceful and was such a cute home. Was perfect for our two night stay. Loved how it wasn’t cluttered and Host was always very responsive and friendly. Will definitely come back and stay again when visiting family.

We had a really fun stay at Shaena’s home. The home was spacious, clean and has a lot of character. The surrounding area was beautiful with many close trails to enjoy. The home is a reasonable distance from Blacksburg while feeling more remote. Be prepared for how close the train is, that said if you like trains the view is really cool!

several family members came from different states for a memorial service. this place was perfect for our group. we especially loved the back porch and the fire pit. Lura was a perfect host. we look forward to gathering there again. nice home with beautiful grounds

Brooke was quick to respond, easy check in . We booked last minute with no issues. Sam the property manager was great with suggestions for places to visit. This cabin is warm and cozy, perfect for a weekend getaway. Highly recommend staying here.

Monica and Gary are both so personable and great hosts. I have family in the area and so delighted to find this wonderful place when I am visiting in the area. It is so convenient and close to everything while still giving you the feeling of being in the country. The surrounding area is beautiful and lots of things to do. This will definitely be my first choice the next time I travel to Virginia.

The outdoor space was incredible. We didn't spend much time inside. The views, heated pool and outdoor seating area around the fireplace was so relaxing. The kitchen was very well stocked and the beds were super comfortable.

This place was beautiful!! The staff was incredible and very helpful when needed. The lodge was very spacious and very accommodating for our large group. Would love to come back again in the future!!

Nice cabin spot right across from Pipestem Resort State park, and a fairly easy drive to many other great hikes, waterfalls and other sights, and neat small towns. Place is really good for a couple's getaway with full living room, kitchen, bathroom, hot tub, yard, and front/back porch. Also there was a separate space where another bedroom living space was, but we didn't use that. But could be option for a group larger than a couple. Internet was strong for rural area and good TV in main living room and bedroom that could stream well.

Beautiful vintage home with a great view and private even though it’s in a small city. Very quiet and peaceful. Everything we were looking for, will return if we have the opportunity!!

The stay was wonderful in a clean and well appointed condo. Even had my preferred “raw sugar” for my coffee in the cupboard. WiFi and TV were first rate. I will stay here again.

An absolutely beautiful cabin surrounded by phenomenal scenery and an abundance of nature, couldn’t recommend it enough.

We were looking for a nice dog friendly getaway on the river and this hit the mark. It was great to relax on the big back lawn and splash around in the river. We walked over to grab tubes next door and enjoyed the float. The amenities are as described, certainly enough to meet basic needs but not "excessive" or "luxury" - and that's fine by me. We expected the train and beds as potential drawbacks - so were fully aware of what we were signing up for - and in the end it wasn't that bad. I'd be happy to come back for another visit!

The cottage was cute, clean and comfortable. Fire pit and picnic table in the back sit next to a beautiful stream, wish I would have had time to enjoy an evening by it-maybe next time! My son, dog, and I were very comfortable there, I'm glad I picked this place to stay while visiting friends in Hinton. Would definitely recommend to others and would stay there again. Oh! I also met one of the owners, she was such a nice and kind person!

A wonderful peaceful setting for our family trip to see Va Tech Clemson play. Great communication from NRRetreat and the owner. It’s is on a gravel road with beautiful country setting. Only thing would be bump up Internet to a satellite internet instead of the hotspot. The house was clean and easily handled 6 adults and two children. The creek is a plus for fishing or viewing.

The house was great & matched the description and pictures!! Don was very attentive and quickly responded to messages. Would definitely recommend this property and Don to anyone looking in this area!
