Vacation rentals in Big Lagoon

We loved our stay in the cozy cabin. It was more spacious than depicted in the photos. The cabin is tucked away in the redwoods and felt private and secluded, and at the same time was extremely accessible; downtown Arcata was only a 10 minute drive.

This home was absolutely breathtaking! From the moment you pulled into the driveway you already felt right at home. The house was cozy and the furniture extremely comfortable. The kitchen was WELL stocked and it had everything that you could possibly need. We ended up cooking dinner one of the nights there because how cozy and easy it was! The big open windows made it so you could see the ocean from every aspect of the house. Drinking a cider and sitting in the jacuzzi while watching the waves was the best part. This was a home away from home and we are already looking forward to returning!

This house truly was an oasis. Not only is it driving distance to countless hikes amongst the Redwoods but it is surrounded by nature in itself. Between Trinidad and Arcata you have everything you need. The house is beautiful, spacious, well thought out and had everything we needed. Heather and Eric were excellent hosts who provided a ton of great recommendations for our stay and were very responsive to all of our needs. We highly recommend a stay here for adults and families looking for a place to stay while enjoying the incredible nature this area has to offer!

Joyce and Patrick are an absolute pleasure! They are the best hosts I’ve experienced on Airbnb. They are kind and friendly, very responsive and very accommodating. We arrived to a well stocked kitchen to get us started! The cottage is adorable, well maintained and spacious. We will definitely be back back!!

Definitely worth the money for the amenities, privacy and convenient location to town. I feel like all coastal homes have that wet-scent but otherwise had everything you needed for an enjoyable stay and more. The walkable paths in the back are note-worthy as well. Thank you.

This place was magical. The view is undeniably beautiful and the house was welcoming with the perfect amount of amenities and pretty landscaping. The beds and bedding were just what we needed after a few days on the road… absolute relaxation. The hot tube was just right for two people and greatly appreciated after hiking the redwoods. We loved sitting around the fire pit mornings and nights as we soaked in the view. We stopped for groceries in Eureka but Trinidad has a small, nice grocery all the expected necessities and more. For travelers who are used to having condiments provided, there is coffee, tea, packaged creamers, salt & pepper and cooking oil. Our favorites — this house, hiking the redwoods and Trinidad State Beach. Note — While the listing states a hike down to the beach is possible, our active group advise that you visit Agate beach or the state beach, which are much easier to navigate and equally breathtaking. This is one of the best Airbnbs we’ve stayed in. The hosts have gone an extra mile to provide high quality furnishings throughout. The garage is fully equipped with fun play things: ping pong, darts, and more. Back yard was perfect for us and our dog. Wish we had had time for the hot tub. Thank you; we’ll be back.

We loved staying here. The location is perfect being next to a cute walkable neighborhood and downtown Arcata. Also right across the street from an upscale grocery store and cafe. The home is very quiet, cozy and comfortable with a big, fenced in backyard perfect for a dog. Great place. We'll certainly come back.

Bluff House is a serene and beautiful get-a-way in an unbeatable location. The view of the ocean over the bluff is enhanced by the huge, west-facing windows. The host, Beverly, is friendly, responsive, and helpful. We would come back here in a heartbeat.
