Great little Gem that is perfect for families looking to explore the local surroundings, has great restaurants nearby and a great host that communicated well and provided us with some flexibility to check out, Hoping to return again in the future 👍🏻

Becky kept in touch and was helpful. There was a lovely basket of some starter provisions. We had it as a rendezvous with family from the south and the cottage was everything we needed. It was spacious, clean and tidy. We enjoyed sitting out late afternoon and relaxing. It enabled us to explore the coast, to visit Rievaulx and the area. Really good for York, especially with the Park and Ride not far away too. Also villages like Pocklington were good to explore and find a nice lunch out coffee and cake.

Really beautiful stay. lovely cottage. can't wait to bring my children back with us next time. Marisa was such a lovely host too!

We had a wonderful time, there is so much to do and the cottage is lovely. We all remarked how big the place is because the pictures just did not do it justice. We'll definitely be coming back!!

Me and my girlfriend stayed here recently and we had a lovely relaxing stay. The cottage is set in a beautiful location with amazing views and lovely decor. The hot tub and the wood burner were lovely touches and made our stay very comfortable and cosy! It's situated in a great place if you're planning to explore the nearby towns and cities too. Thank you for a beautiful stay, hope to stay here again in the future!

The house was very clean and had lots of room . We loved the hot tub and the BBQ. The house was on a small housing estate backing on to a field. Good for a girls catch up get away. The outdoor space and furniture was tired … but it is early in the season . Good value and well placed to visit York.

We had a lovely weekend break at primrose cottage! So clean and had everything we needed. The beach and restaurant recommendations from Sam were really helpful! Would definitely recommend this place.

An amazing weekend away. An amazing garden to really enjoy the sunshine, private and with all facilities. The hot tub was spacious and covered so can be enjoyed all year round. The kitchen was a great space, and had everything you needed. The instructions prior to check in were clear, having no reason to message the host, everything was a smooth process with no stress or worries at any point. would love to go back! I brought the break as a 70th birthday gift for my Mother and she thoughroly enjoyed the break, she said it was exactly as described and Liesa was friendly, welcoming and gave them recommendations for dinner. The property is in a great location to explore and managed to visit a few national trust venues, She loved the welcome bits when they arrived and overall had a brilliant stay. Thank you :)

Amazing cosy place for two. Very homely with everything you need. Barmston is a lovely village about 10 mins walk from the beach (via the park dean site at the bottom of the road). Used Brannan's Barn as a base to visit the seaside towns of Robin Hood's Bay, Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely stay , really comfy beds and settees . Lovely welcome with biscuits , coffee , tea and milk . Right opposite the village duck pond which my son loved and the pub 2 mins walk specialises in steak , they were some of the best we have tasted .

We had a great couple of nights in Lindsey's cottage. The downstairs bedroom and bathroom was great for anyone with mobility issues as the stairs are really steep. We had everything we needed. There's a lovely walk from the door through the fields to the beach (about 15 mins) or you can walk down the road through the holiday park to the beach (about 10 mins). The pub next door was handy and there is a games room that the kids enjoyed. There are no shops within walking distance apart from a farm on the way in which has a vending machine where you can buy meat, milk and eggs so bring supplies with you. Easy 10 minute drive into Bridlington. Very dog friendly with nice garden.

Hornsea and everything seaside is celebrated throughout the premises. Comfy and welcoming and well equipped. The enclosed courtyard garden gets sun most of the day and we had friends round and enjoyed a glass or two in it . We never went more than 5 miles from Hornsea such are its understated attractions - the prom , the parks, the leisure centre and but not for us of a mature age, a cafe culture and some arty shops - sadly not open on Monday - but then again think about what I saved. Another reading light in the lounge area might be an asset perhaps!

We had a wonderful few days in this really lovely holiday cottage, I have to say the photos do not do it justice. The owners have created a real home from home with every possible convenience included. The area is extremely peaceful but just a very short 15 min drive to the York Park & Ride. I would not hesitate to recommend staying here.

Lovely cottage , matched description given, lovely tea /coffee / chocolates on arrival . There was clear instructions and Tony was very good with getting back to me with any questions. A gem of a place we would love to come back and stay again

The cottage was perfect for what we wanted, quiet area, cottage was beautiful inside only issues were the damp inside the windows but to be expected from an old property, had plenty of utensils for cooking, very handy to have a dishwasher and washing machine in the cottage aswell, very peaceful weekend away and hot tub was an added bonus

Beautiful homely cottage, spotlessly clean and well equipped with everything that you need. A lovely hamper on arrival with delicious biscuits that were gluten and dairy free for one of the guests which was a very kind touch. Perfect for our dog fully enclosed yard, and a very peaceful location, not far to travel to many places nearby. I would highly recommend the cottage and hope to return again. Thank you for allowing us and our friends to stay, a lovely weekend we all had.

This was a fantastic property and was crisp and clean. We were only in the area for a day and it more or less suited our needs. The check in was easy and Kate, from the shop, very pleasant. There was a nice breakfast basket waiting for us and it was lovely and warm. The 2 bedrooms and en suites are almost identical - I didn’t find the pillows very comfortable as they were a bit thin. It was disappointing there wasn’t a walk from the door where we could take the dogs as the main road was too busy. Some lovely walks nearby though so I wouldn’t entertain paying the £5 to hire a fenced field, that was offered.

The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need! Helena met us with the keys, she had also left us cake which was delicious. Helena was so helpful even before we arrived… she sent me numbers of local taxi firms and even offered to take us to Tesco in the next village. I also left some items behind and Helena offered to post them to me! The are is stunning and I can’t praise the. Cottage or Helena enough! We hope to return form a more rralacees time and get some walking in. Thank you for a great stay x

We had an amazing weekend away at Leanne’s cottage. Unfortunately the weather was horrible but the cottage was so lovely and homely that we stayed in and still had such an amazing and relaxing time away. :)
