Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Bentota

We arrived at three o'clock in the morning and met us like family. The hosts are very attentive and helpful. If you want to stay a little in the rainforest, watch parrots, squirrels, insects, look at plants, then this place is a great place. The veranda is located, so that you can enjoy the view of the vegetation and create a sense of privacy. Breakfast deserves special attention, time can be negotiated in advance, as it was convenient for us. There was always delicious Ceylon tea, fruit shakes, and the dishes were delicious with a local feel, new and varied every day. Now about the house and its hostess. An interesting design (which is why we chose it) for three friends was comfortable and cozy in it for three friends in it. The reality was better than the picture in the app. The host responded to our requests, all of our needs were met. Intika surrounded us with care and attention. We cooked dinners ourselves, either on the grill in the yard or in the kitchen at home. The evenings were spent on the veranda. They clean the house, if we wish, also change towels. There is a washing machine, the Hostess will be happy to show you how to use the appliances. And will dry things. What made us very happy is the beach. Wide coastline, great water temperature and minimum people. Unlike the other end of the beach. 12 minutes walk, we really liked these walks, there is an opportunity to see the real life of the locals. The fruit market is 10 minutes away. The fish market is 15 minutes away. We were very satisfied with both the location and the price and of course the quality. Thank you so much for your hospitality!

The space is perfect place to unwind. Located directly at the beach, the location is unbeatable and the large garden is also paradise. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. On the large grounds, we also got into conversation with a few regular guests who have been choosing this accommodation for many years. We absolutely understand why they keep coming back and would do the same. After a few days, we even had the feeling of belonging to the family and picked up coconuts together on our last day - that was really nice. Thanks for the hospitality and the great time! ✨

There was always someone at home, so even if I returned at random times, I was able to open the heavy gate and get to my room without any trouble. Additionally, the owner offers a paid car service. I had to catch a bus leaving just after 11 p.m., but when Uber moto and tuktuk was canceled and I was in trouble, the owner kindly drove me to the central bus stop. It was a huge help. On top of that, the bus tried to leave 15 minutes earlier than scheduled, and if the owner hadn’t honked the horn to stop it, I would have missed it. The owner is truly reliable and supports travelers well as a local. Also, the children are so adorable. I’m so glad I got to meet them!

Amazing stay with the most wonderful staff. Thank you so much to Indi, Kelum and Anil for taking such good care of us. We stayed for over a month and we were made to feel at home for the whole stay. The garden and pool area is so relaxing, the view from the kitchen and dining area is lovely and the location is ideal. Could not recommend Ebb and Flow enough. Thank you again to all of the team! x

Got a tip to this place that it was a great place to stay. Rooms where clean, airco present, easy communication. All what you can expect. But the absolute highlights for me, was the friendly atmosphere, and way they helped me, the step back, close to basics and nature, in a very convieniant way. And the small surprices I had during my stay there, like seeing fireflies, cameleons and a monitor. At all times I felt safe, welcome and I could relax, enjoying a book or just marval at the garden and river. I can highly recommand this place.

Gayan was a very kind and helpful host! Went above and beyond to offer help and also help out when needed. The place itself is cosy and simple but has everything you need. Highly recommend!

This awesome house is run by a very sweet family who are easy to communicate with and always do their best to help. The location is in a very green and quiet area away from the hustle and bustle with a beautiful Buddhist temple and green rice fields nearby with lots peacocks (and all kinds of birds) around. I stayed at this house for two months and it has been a delight.

We had a great stay celebrating two birthday’s with our friends and children. Our host was always on hand if we needed anything. For the budget this place was perfectly suitable for our group. We would Definitely stay again.

We stayed here for a wonderful 10 days and wish it could have been longer. The location is perfect, 2 min walk to the beach but slightly inland among the jungle trees and monkeys. Our room was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and spacious. The staff were kind enough to clean it twice during our stay. They also have a quick laundry service! The restaurant was our favorite in Mirissa! We felt so lucky to have breakfast here every day and we also had lunch there a few times. The food and service was consistently fantastic. We aren’t so much into yoga but we tried one of the classes and really enjoyed it! We felt very relaxed and happy here. Angela the owner is very kind and welcoming. She gave us lots of tips about the area. We especially enjoyed swimming with the turtles- a highlight of our 6 week Sri Lanka trip <3

Staying with sanath was really great and we felt right at home. Sanath also cooked for us which was very tasty and always helpful to ask. The breakfast was right on the beach. All in all, some beautiful days. Thank you and your wife.

Villa Sublime lives up to its name. We spent a month in Sri Lanka travelling around AirBnB's and this was my favourite. The location is convenient but yet you feel a million miles away from other people. The grounds and the accommodation are immaculate and tasteful. Darshini is a great cook and so obliging, we were there to chill and we ate at the villa most days so we really availed ourselves of her wonderful Sri Lankan food. The pool was fabulous and it's so much fun to float about and watch the monkeys, peacocks, squirrels and birds. I would go back in a heartbeat, and I'm fussy. Highly recommended.

Beautiful place by the beach. In season, you can walk on the beach. Due to rainy season, sea was rough. Windy weather. Nearby A2 restaurant was good with friendly owner. Tuktuk available till late nights. Nearby attractions/hotels are accessible by Tuktuk. Room and amenities were as described. AC room was good, clean and spacious. Srilankan Breakfast was homemade and tasty. Nearest city place is Galle. Sanoj and his brother were helpful and responsive. Thanks for hosting us. It was pleasant stay. 💐

We arrived at the airport at midnight and were pleasantly surprised to receive a message from Dinesh letting us know that our early check-in was ready. His attentive follow-up made us feel so welcomed, almost as if we were going home. Upon reaching Dinesh's place, we immediately felt a sense of peace it truly was a home away from home. The traditional Sri Lankan breakfast was absolutely fabulous, and the lunch was equally delightful. I even had the opportunity to cook my own meals twice, which was a lovely touch. Dinesh himself is an incredibly respectful and knowledgeable host, and we had wonderful conversations on a variety of topics. Staying at his place was an absolute pleasure; the serenity and tranquility were unmatched. Thank you, Dinesh, for making our stay so special! We hope to return someday.

Had an amazing stay at N34 Mirissa. Breakfast was good, rooms were extremely clean, the staff was very welcoming and the beach was at a 5 minute walking distance. The host was very accommodating too to accept my last minute change request (changed from a 5 night stay to a 3 night stay). Great place to stay!

True gem of a place run by 3 lovely ladies, who make you feel unbelievably welcome, from the minute you arrive. The rooms are clean, large and very comfortable and the restaurant food is exceptional. It was incredibly relaxing to sit and look out over the clear Indian Ocean; perfect for that early morning dip before breakfast. The location is ideal for Galle, Unawatuna and Dellawella beach, where you are guaranteed to swim with the turtles. We stayed for 5 weeks and enjoyed every minute we were there.

A true hidden gem in Hikkaduwa. We decided to add one final night on the Sri Lankan coast to end our honeymoon and we were so glad to have spent it at Soorya Kala. We got a true home from home feel and had a very warm welcome from the hosts. Unfortunately, we had to leave early to catch our flight back to Columbo but our hosts offered us an extremely delicious lunch in front of the pool to replace our breakfast. The place has only just opened 3 months ago and is by far one of the nicest places we have stayed during our time in Sri Lanka. Of course the review wouldn't be complete without a mention of the most friendliest dog, Benji the labrador - thanks for all the love! Thanks so much again Soorya Kala, we wish we could have stayed longer! Laura & Luke xx

I had a lovely stay at Memories in Weligama. It’s located in a quiet area, making it a great place to unwind. The property also has a café and restaurant with good food, and there’s a small grocery store conveniently located just outside. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and Shem, the owner, was friendly and helpful throughout my stay. A great option for a peaceful and hassle-free visit to Weligama.
