Family-friendly vacation rentals in Belize City

Pike and Hillary have gone way beyond any possible expectations! They are such kindhearted and warm people, part of a beautiful family. The location is perfect - walkable to go to the center, but far enough to be in peace, enjoying the beautiful garden and relaxing on a hammock while cuddling their beautiful dogs. They made available bikes free of charge to make the commute to the center even easier. The accommodation is very quiet and comfortable. It has everything we need, and more: a comfortable bed, a fan, a functional kitchen with equipment such as a blender and a coffee machine, and a bathroom with shampoo, conditional, and shower gel. They also made available bed sheets and towels (and beach towels). The WiFi connection is stable, and they made available to us some options for excursions and tours (although they were best placed to help finding the right options and discover this beautiful island). Don’t hesitate a second! Pike and Hillary are the best hosts.

We had a fantastic time staying at Hilary and Pike's. The place is clean and spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. They provided us with bikes which made it easy to get around the island. Hilary was very responsive and Pike kindly dropped us off to the ferry at 6:30am on our final morning. The dogs are super friendly (and cute), we loved having them around the property.

Dena’s place was off the beaten path (literally) and we loved it! We enjoyed being a little far away from the city centre and getting to explore the island in a different way. Dena provided bikes and that made it a breeze to get around to see and do everything we wanted on the island.

Peter and his team are awesome. Ms. Velda cooked up some great meals with local fish, chicken and veggies. Ms. Dali was an incredible hostess. Mr. Melvin maintained impeccable grounds, showed us where to fish and where to swim. Peter was super helpful in arranging tours and providing tips for other parts of our trip. This is a very special place...perfect for slowing way down as you sit on the deck over the water and watch the waves, wildlife, and stars at night. We will be back, with a few friends next time! It is better than the pictures or website capture (even though they are great!).

Very very clean and spacious place! The house is gated and you are given a gate key for access in and out at any time. The host were nice and welcoming . Def . Saved into my stays for future use

Amelia’s place was great! Had the good weather stuck around would have been even better, but that doesn’t reflect on the property. Thankfully we had a great house to stay in because of the weather. Loved hanging out in the hammocks and walking on the pier and checking out the sea creatures. There was a lil juvenile local crocodile hanging around out by the pier we got to see a couple times. Couldn’t get a good picture though because he wants nothing to do with people. All in all it was great stay and visit. rooms are big and spacious. A.C worked great. We had two boys, 5 and 8 and me and my wife. It was perfect. Would stay again.

We liked everything about the Renaissance. The suite was spacious, rooms were cozy and stunning view from the outside balcony. The hotel was very secure and safe environment.

Michael was a very friendly, helpful host. We lacked nothing. The apartment has a nice, cozy atmosphere and there was also a very well equipped kitchen. We also definitely enjoyed the time by the pool. In addition, Michael provided us with bicycles with which we could explore the island wonderfully. All in all, we felt completely comfortable and would come back to Michael at any time in this Air Bnb on Caye Caulker.

We booked very spontaneously as we had to cancel another location, because of its bad conditions. Bobbi reacted extremly fast and flexibly, was very warm, friendly and helpful, gave us a great welcome. We loved our appartment, it was so well equipped and very charmingly decorated. We had the best time there and can only highly recommend it. Great to have the pool and the bikes included as well. And, additional treat, there was a mixer in the kitchen, so we could make our own daiquiris with fresh mangos/papayas etc - loved it!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ OASI is a true gem! Clean and well appointed units. Beautiful landscaping. Good bird watching on site. Cold A/C. Hugo the caretaker is there to take care of anything you may need. He’s friendly and very helpful. We met two other couples staying there and we quickly became friends. Weezie’s is right across the street for quick drinks and good food. Los Almendros is four blocks away and we ate there A LOT!!!

Great little place. Pool was a great amenity since beaches in Caye Caulker aren’t very nice/not a lot of public beach space. Well equipped, be careful with the bathroom faucet as it splashes if you open too much. AC works really well, but house is well ventilated if you open all windows and turn the fans on, so not always needed. Nice to have drinking water available and the option to book ferry pickup (takes the work out of finding the place). If you want a golf cart rental, I recommend J&SONS XTREME car rentals, they had the best rates out of 3 or 4 we looked at and they offer discount for multiple days and the transaction was smooth. Check out the guy by the airport that cooks in his back yard, setting is nice and unique and food is very good. Try the homemade ice cream shops with homemade waffle cones-delicious. Stingray beach is a must between 4:30-5:30 PM, they feed pelicans and rays and kids loved touching the stingrays. Whole day snorkeling tour with Hicoco Tours was very nice!

It was lovely and helpful that the host arranged for direct water taxi with our luggage to the house. The quiet refuge on the north island was a great contrast to the hustle of the south part of the Caye. While there getting around on foot and by water taxi worked well, unless you want to see the estuary on the very north side of the Caye, in which case a bike is a good idea. There were several walkable restaurant options and a small convenience store near the split. We didn’t use the kayak and paddle boards, but the pool was great for heat relief and AC in the bedrooms was nice too. Walter, the caretaker, was super helpful and brought us fresh coconuts / coconut water. Really enjoyed Mario’s snorkel tour.

Lovely apartment with access to a nicely shaded pool. In a quiet part of town but everything is within easy access walking or by bikes provided for use. Excellent Airbnb!

Sherilyn’s place was fantastic! We rented the extra apartment on the first floor and stayed with our 2 year old and 4 month old down there and 2 other couples upstairs. Great setup for parents to put kids to bed downstairs and make lots of noise upstairs without waking kids in apartment. We walked everywhere but roads require stable stroller. You can take a golf cart taxi any time also, Sharilyn provided a card on bulletin board. Pool has great shade for beginning and end of day and full sun mid-day. Also fantastic for kids. The couples we stayed with that didn’t have kids had an amazing time and so did we. Place is quiet at night and walkable to nightlife. I walked to the Split in 20 min. If taking a plane, airport is a few hundred yards down the road (though we never heard plan noise). WiFi is strong. Grocery store just down the road for some basics, but better ones in town. Overall definitely recommend her place! You’ll have a hard time leaving!

Zenaidas place was very convenient to get to the airport from and everything in the city was close. I had no trouble getting in contact with her and the pool was very nice looking even though we didn’t swim.

We had a great stay! Let host know we would be late, after closing hours of check in. They kindly responded to us, we will be here for you. The only thing I would say is some kind of beach towel would have been nice, but other than that it was great!

We enjoyed our stay in Dena's place. She always reacted fast when we had questions. The cabin had everything we needed. Water pressure could be better but we managed. It is away from the city center so the bikes that come with the cabin are very handy. There is a supermarket close by. We can recommend hawks nest.

Great location and the host was very friendly and responded fast, connected us to people on the island so we had someone nearby to contact and to give us a ride from the boat to the room.

Ms Hilda was very Sweet, and welcoming. She was very attentive to our request or queries. Definitely would return to this host. Felt right at home.

If you are looking for a budget friendly place to stay in the middle of town this would be a good choice. It is a safe, clean place. However, it is definitely a no frills place so don’t expect outdoor seating areas, hammocks, etc. On the plus side you are behind the best pizza place on the island and across the street you can get the best fry jacks for breakfast. The store next to it sells fresh squeezed juices.
