Vacation rentals with breakfast in Bay Of Islands

We loved Mary’s house in Paihia. She should be classified as a Super Host. The view of the bay was special and Mary had supplied food and fresh fruit upon our arrival. She also listed her favorite restaurants and hikes, all of which we explored and agree with her recommendations. This is probably the best AirBNB we have ever rented. Five Stars plus

We had a wonderful stay at the Bach! We were so impressed with how clean and cosy everything was. The location is perfect, with beautiful views and so many walks nearby. Would 100% recommend staying there, we would already love to go back.

If you’re looking for the wilderness /forest experience with incredible views and spacious living, then this is the place. Nothing is too much trouble for the amazing hosts Candy and Rawiri and we had a very comfortable and unique stay there.

Alana’s place is fabulous. Our family took the 2 apartments and the co-location was very handy. Both apartments are beautifully set-up with a well appointed kitchenette, generous breakfast goodies and a stunning view. We are looking forward to a return visit!

Nice, very clean, tidy and quiet place with a great view of the bay and the surrounding area. Communication with Alana was very easy and friendly. And it was a delight having conversations with her parents who also live in Altea. I was too early for check-in and I could park my luggage there and come back later for check-in which was very helpful. Everything is in short walking distance: town, passenger ferry to/from Paihia, supermarket, two beaches and also some nice walks.

Beautiful couple owns this piece which was very nice and tidy. Only A bit walk to the centre of Russell that is convenient. Price is quite high too

Jan is an absolute gem. Not only a wonderful host, but also very kind person. She gave us fresh vegetables from her garden. Also, when we had left and it had rained, she took care of our clothes which we had kept for drying outside. Jan greeted us pleasantly while check-in and checkout. An amazing person to talk to, friendly always smiling. Made sure we felt at home. She also gave us a tour of the house upon arrival. Her house has all the necessary items for day to day, very well equipped kitchen, toiletries, games, books. She provided us with milk, bread, homemade jam, cookies. She has kayak, surfboards, life jackets, snorkelling gear as well for guests. We would definitely visit again.

Linda showed such great hospitality! It was so interesting to hear her stories while we ate breakfast together. The room has all you need for a good night's sleep, the bathroom and house were super clean, her cat Sooty was so friendly. It feels just like being at home. Thanks Linda!

The Blue Chair B and B was amazing! The bed is so comfortable, I actually slept in! Jennie was wonderful! From picking me up at the airport (from my delayed flight) to helping me sort my rental car at the airport before I left. She even dropped me off at the local farmer's market! Lots of great recommendations as well. I highly recommend Madly Indian restaurant, a 2 min walk away. The space itself is beautiful, private, and well appointed. I had every thing I needed and then some. Sitting outside with breakfast, or just a cup of tea in the afternoon was relaxing. There is such a nice view from the little table outside. It's a short walk to town for a coffee or lunch. Everything you need is within an easy walk. Breakfast was amazing! She made lovely muffins and perfect eggs! I ate a little too well.

Very special place in the middle of the forest. Exhuberant vegetation, vegetables and fruits ready to harvest. Kind company always ready to help. Authentic vintage atmosphere. Three hens, one ruster and five friendly dogs (usually only two small ones). Don't miss it !

I stayed at Karen's place for 2 nights over a weekend for a workshop at the Duke. The location couldn't have been better, so close to everything Russell has to offer and yet so quiet and peaceful. I felt very well looked after by Karen throughout my stay. Karen was very proactive with communication before I arrived and had the BnB prepared for a relaxing weekend with home made yoghurt, fruit salad and spreads for breakfast! I was very tired after driving up to Russell straight after work and having dinner on the balcony and watching a spectacular sunset was a perfect way to wind down after a busy weekend. When I returned home after dinner, Karen had lit candles and laid them on the walkway to make sure I got home easily without getting lost on the way :-) I would definitely recommend Karen's place to family and friends if they are planning to visit Russell.

Carolyn is a very warm and welcoming host. Nice room and comfortable bed.

We stayed with Al and Murray for 5 nights and they were just absolutely lovely. We were not there as tourists but to sort out a personal storage unit after losing our sailing boat in the pandemic. Al and Murray provided a home from home for us during this difficult week. The spa is fabulous and extremely relaxing. The pool is spotless. The room is comfy, spacious and airy and the bathroom / shower huge, pristine and well-appointed. We could use the kitchen as needed and the breakfast was excellent. If I could give these guys 6 stars I would. Thank you and we hope to see you in Europe one day.

We had an amazing stay with Brita and Heinz. They were so friendly and helpful and gave us amazing recommendations. Breakfast was a really treat with fantastic views.

Gill’s place was great & she was a wonderful host. The walk to Paihia along the beach was lovely & she provided a lovely room to come back to with a really comfy bed. Would not hesitate to stay again.
