Vacation rentals in Bamburgh

Just an hour away from home felt a million miles away. Such a beautiful house in any location. In this location outstanding. Very comfortable with great facilities. But the location was amazing weather wasn’t great so excuse we need to return to use the garden fully. Right beside Crown and Anchor which is a great wee pub and restaurant.

Delightful coastal feel with comfy beds, well equipped kitchen and plenty of room for 6 adults and 2 babies. Lisa and Gavin were very helpful throughout the whole process.

We had a fabulous stay in beautiful Beatrice Cottage. Loved it. Grace left us a generous thoughtful welcome pack. The cottage was tastefully furnished, warm and cosy. Area was excellent. Views of castle, walk to village, not far from beach. The icing on the cake was having the River Coquet on our doorstep. Sat of a morning with a cuppa on one of the benches. We were blessed with 5 days of sunshine. Would highly recommend Beatrice Cottage.

The cottage is lovely with beautiful surroundings. The living room in particular is stunning. We are a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Our eldest (11) loved the loft bedroom. Instructions from Liz were excellent and using what3words we found the cottage with no issues. The area is gorgeous and we saw lots of wildlife on the way which was great. The cottage is about an hour away from the centre of Edinburgh, so it’s ideal if you’re wanting to visit Edinburgh but stay away from the noise of a city. Amazing stay would go again. It’s was such a nice place , nice a private hot tub area . The cottage was so clean and tidy had everything you needed in it and so Nicola informed us what wasn’t available in advance to know what to bring. We had an amazing stay thank you.

Words cannot describe how amazing Simone is and her gorgeous retreat. I took my Dad away for a little trip away as he is rather poorly and the original place I had booked was appalling! So bad I refused to stay. Thinking I'd have to take my Dad back home as finding somewhere suitable for his needs is slim picking, never mind on an August Friday night at 6pm, last weekend of the summer holidays. Nevertheless, after refusing to give up I found this gem, both in Simone and her retreat. Just what we needed . Simone went above and beyond from the second I placed the booking, she rang me straight away, said she would met us there, she had the retreat warming through for us, lights on and made us feel absolutely at home. So much so I had to give her a hug. The whole experience from start to finish was 10 star. The place is beautiful, the views are outstanding, area is perfect. My Dad is dying to go back already. And I can't wait to take him. See you soon x

All good but I have to comment the bed mattresses were a little too hard for us all.

Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet Michael as he was away but we did meet the lovely Carol who was there on our arrival. We had a brilliant 2nt stay in the Partridge Hut. It was exactly the same as the photos. A comfortable bed and large powerful shower. It had everything you needed for such a compact space. We were fortunate with the weather and were able to use the outdoor seating and even got the fire pit going on the 1 nt. It was lovely to wake up to the birdsong and the little bunnies hopping around. We ate at the Milecastle Inn which was recommended by Carol and was spot on and then had fish and chips at the Ocean takeaway in Haltwhistle the last nt. Hadrians Wall is just on your doorstep and the Lanercost Priory which is in walking distance from the hut. A great tearoom and gift shop there too. If you’re after a quiet and relaxing time, Michael’s place is perfect and we will definitely return.

We had a lovely stay and our pooch loved it also. It was warm and welcoming with lovely views. The hot tub was a great place to star watch. We hope to visit again
