Vacation rentals in Bagaces

What an amazing experience at GAR! The rescue and the surrounding area are truly beautiful and it's cooler than the beaches! Luis, Mailyn, Ronald and Jose take such great care of the animals and property! There's so much to do: horse back riding, ATVs, hikes, and interacting with the animals that are clearly happy to be there. The sunsets seen from the rescue are truly spectacular. Just a short drive from the property are hot springs, waterfalls, rain forests, sloth viewing tours, and a national park with amazing hikes and views. The small town of Guayabo offers groceries, a great restaurants and even a swim up bar! For offsite activities we recommend a local tour guide, Dediere Cascante! He speaks English quite well and is one friendly and knowledgeable local, long attached to GAR. The villas are clean, spacious, and well appointed. Do not hesitate to book some time at GAR -it will forever be in our hearts! We even managed to adopt one of the puppies and bring her home!

A very clean and tidy house, a place with enough space and very comfortable beds, the service was excellent and they were very kind with the check-in and check-out times. The house is better than as seen in the photos

What a great experience! The place was far nicer than the description! Joe, Leilani and Alain were so nice and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and a wonderful surprise. Super chill! highly recommend!

Kevin and Liz were wonderful hosts, we felt right at home and the kids LOVED their sweet doggos! Kevin's recommendation to a nearby hot spring park was one of our best days in Costa Rica. We had dinner at the neighbours and the food was wonderful. The daily coffee/breakfast was delicious. Felt like an authentic Costa Rican experience!

This was such a fun way to start our vacation. Angelica was amazing, helpful, knowledgeable and sweet woman. The view is spectacular, coffee was delicious, and the conversation was easy and entertaining. If we come back to Costa Rica, we will stay here again.

We stayed at Winston's for 2 nights of our honeymoon and it was exactly as described. AC in the bedroom was nice, washer unit worked great, hot water heater for the shower, and he even left a little gift for us since it was our honeymoon which was very thoughtful. It was very close to La Leona waterfalls and other excursions that we did during the day which was convenient.

We had a great and relaxing stay at the ranch. We enjoyed some lovely food, horseback riding and the hike around the property while we were here. Leonardo and Jorge were very responsive. Would definitely recommend!

Very safe and private, you can really rest in the place. We loved the pool and the ranch, it's big and suitable for the whole family. The nearby river is beautiful, we didn't imagine it was so nice, it's a place to connect with nature and rest with the family. Close to the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano and about an hour from the Bahía Junquillal Wildlife Reserve, a wonderful beach, we would definitely come back again. Jorge was very helpful at all times, he was attentive to us and what we needed, he is a super host, we recommend it.

We enjoyed our stay. It is very close to La Leona waterfall. There were monkeys in the yard in the morning which was really fun for our group to see.
