This was the best getaway. Victoria made the space as cozy as can be and I only wish I had been able to book more time!

We booked a last minute stay at The Hide, somehow managing to miss the fact that storm Darragh was expected! We continued tentatively with our plans and had some really reassuring contact throughout the day with Katie re the weather conditions and roads etc. We arrived in the dark, the instructions to get to the accommodation were spot on and easy to follow. The accommodation itself was everything you see in the pictures and made for the ultimate cosy night away, warmed by the log fire whilst the storm raged outside. The views we woke up to the next morning were stunning and we enjoyed a breakfast of fresh eggs which Katie had kindly left for us as well as a loaf of bread. We found the stay had everything we needed for a night away and Katie offered us a late checkout which was a real bonus and allowed for a lazy morning drinking coffee by the fire. We would definitely recommend a stay at The Hide if you are looking for a cosy private bolthole surrounded by nature!

The location is absolutely beautiful, peaceful the perfect place for a little get away, with a lovely hot tub. The donkeys Lucy and Holly were adorable and had funny little personalitys. The host was amazing, sweet, kind, made us feel welcomed, and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, the place was absolutely amazing, great location, nice views, loads of things to do, great animals, lovley views, amazing host. I would definitely recommend and hope to return again in the future. 🤩🧡

I stayed here with my family for a pre Christmas trip with our dogs. There was 6 adults and 3 dogs and we had enough space to all sit comfortably around the table and enjoy quality time in the living room and bar area, but also the bedrooms were perfectly large enough and spaced out that if you wanted some personal space you could go off and get some time on your own. Each bedroom had its own bathroom as well which is perfect for the mornings as no queuing for the shower! The house is beautiful and the photos don’t do it justice! Beautifully decorated and very cosy and homey! We didn’t want to leave ! The only thing to mention is we arrived late in the afternoon when it was dark, and it was a little hard to find in the dark down a one track lane which is very bumpy! Michelle was an amazing host so helpful, responsive and proactive. And the little touches like a dog goodie bag, and some mince pies to welcome use was very cute.You couldn’t have a better host! Would definitely stay again

Accommodation was first class .. hosts were very welcoming and accommodating… it really is home from home … and in these colder months it was nice that the property was kept really warm and cosy …. There really is nothing to fault .. they really do go above and beyond to make your visit perfect and memorable…. We will definitely return 💯

Detached from reality and the most peaceful evening away with my partner & dog. We arrived just after the agreed check in time, it was really easy to find thanks to Pippa’s detailed guide - we managed to catch the sunset over the fire, with to the log box & marshmallows provided, it was stunning. The lake really is a beautiful spot, perfect for a cold plunge if you fancy a challenge! Lots of nearby walks to take your dog & nearby restaurants and bars, with really great food and friendly locals! We already can’t wait to return in the summer..

Lovely stay at Callow lodge, felt like a home from home, enjoyed a bath and loved the jacuzzi for the 10 minutes we had in it due to the storm! Wish we could have stayed in longer but the wind and rain made it impossible (no reflection on the host good old Mother Nature haha) check in was a breeze and reception were very helpful. I would highly recommend 5 stars

If you're looking for the ideal hub to explore beautiful Shrewsbury, you couldn't really wish for a better location. Tucked away just off the Cop, which is packed with fantastic shops to explore and history to discover, it's a compact bolthole that's just far enough from the hustle and bustle of the street to provide a quiet, relaxing retreat. Adrian and Katy were great hosts and provided some great recommendations for local cafes, restaurants and places of interest too!
