Boutique hotel vacation rentals in Anuradhapura

Our family was very happy with our short stay at the hideout. The hosts communication was brilliant throughout. We had contacted them before we arrived with numerous questions which they always answered promptly. The pool and outdoor area was lovely, clean and relaxing with great views from the lookout area. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and the lovely chef came out to say hello in the mornings and was kind enough to make pancakes for my fussy son when he wouldn’t eat anything on the menu. We also loved the breakfast and had two lovely evening meals in the restaurant during our stay.

My room was large and clean, with a large, comfortable bed complete with large mosquito net, an en suite shower room and toilet, air conditioning, but no eating or cooking facilities. I did have the use of the fridge on the ground floor - beware of man-eating mosquitoes there. The location was quiet and a bicycle was available for exploring the area. There was a good restaurant / bakery across the road, the railway station was 5 minutes away by tuk tuk and the Old City about 3km away. Everything was satisfactory.

This hotel completely exceeded our expectations, the room was huge, clean and well presented. Very comfortable bed. Lovely pool and restaurant area, very peaceful. The best thing about this place is that the staff went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The manager was very responsive on Whats app answering my queries before we arrived. And shout out to the staff member who served us the Sri Lankan breakfast every morning (wish I could remember his name!), he was lovely and so friendly. Breakfast was so delicious and a good opportunity to try the local food. The hotel also has a private tuk tuk driver, Dammika who was super friendly and always available to take us on our excursions. Overall, this hotel is amazing value for money and I can’t recommend it enough if you’re visiting Sigiriya!

Thank you for the great stay. We had a wonderful time at Chathurika. The accommodation has a fantastic location by the lake. We were able to observe a lot of birds and animals. The room was super clean & beautifully decorated. We felt very comfortable throughout the house and were able to relax very well. There are many attractions to explore nearby. The food was delicious & we had the best tuna on our trip. Big recommendation. The entire team was super friendly & helpful. We would love to come back again :-)

Good location for visiting Lion Rock early morning. Breakfast at the property & local recommendations by the staff for a spa were good. Special shout out to the cat Kitty who was very friendly & accompanied us outside the room. The garden is also very nice, herb & native species attract birds Room interior could be better - otherwise a great spend if you're not too particular about details like interiors.

We had a very nice stay at the Courtyard Villa. The host made us dinner when we arrived in the evening after a long travel, which was really nice. He was always available and helpful, came with ideas and recomandations on what to do, and set us up with both a TukTuk, a Safari-Jeep (and guide) and a driver when needed. The place was quiet and nice, and easy to get around from with a TukTuk.
