Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Anuradhapura

To start we were greeted by Amila's parents who put us at ease directly with a local fruit juice the parents were always there as soon as we had a question and on top of that we were also greeted by their 4 adorable dogs and 3 cats with whom we were able to discover all the beautiful surroundings, a few shops are easily accessible with the bikes it lends. We were also able to eat a dinner cooked by the mother ( one of the best curry we could taste during our tour of Sri Lanka ) along the way the breakfast was delicious and stays in the belly all day The cabin is great, one can rustic but just perfect in this situation Finally, the fauna and flora around the estate is very rich: peacock, monkey, birds of all colors iguana and herons on the lake.

We would definitely recommend the place to Mali! He and his wife are great hosts, they helped us a lot, organized tours and rides. The food is super tasty, you can also do a small cooking class with Mali's wife, which we would highly recommend. They go out of their way to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The place itself is really good by Sri Lankan standards. There is hot water and otherwise the room was relatively clean. We would stay there again.

Amron Resort is a family run place perfect for everyone including families with kids. My partner and I had such a wonderful time in Sigiriya and Hemali’s family made our stay easy and stress-free. The location is great since it’s right next door to a coffee shop (Espresso Italiano) which is ideal if you need a morning coffee to start your day. Grandmother cooked us dinner the first night we arrived and it was delicious! Hemali also let us borrow bicycles to ride to Sigiriya Rock and Pidurangala (about 10-15min bike ride). I highly recommend booking your private jeep safari through Hemali for a good price (but also request Laksheeta as he was an amazing driver and we got the best views of the elephants on the tour!). The room was clean and as per the photos. There is no reason not to book a room at Amron Resort, I recommend this place if you’re looking to stay in Sigiriya!

Our stay at Amith’s place was absolutely perfect! The room was stunning with a private pool and huge, comfortable bed. Amith and his family were such wonderful hosts, sharing local restaurants recommendations, helping us to order local taxis and making a delicious, fresh breakfast every morning. The location is great, private but within easy walking access to restaurants, shops and Lion’s Rock. This place is a must book if you’re visiting the area!

Fantastic place for seekers of wilderness and escape. The treehouse was so romantic and carefully put together, with an amazing view right out over the ponds and jungle beyond. A highlight was waking up to the sound of the Sri Lankan dawn chorus. The bed is very solid, which we didn’t mind, but just fyi if you have any back problems. The staff at the property were incredibly helpful and the food was delicious. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Thanks again

We felt right at home with Aaryya. Her house is very welcoming and clean. It is close to a nearby lake, which is lovely to walk around in the morning. Her communication was great, helpful tips and suggestions and organising transport and tours for our stay. I highly recommend staying here when visiting Anuradhapura. It was so interesting to hear about her life and family over a cooked delicious curry 🍛. Thank you for having us and creating a memorable experience!

Jagath is one of a kind. He was such a welcoming host and always had a good balance between being helpful and supportive without intruding your own space and plans. If you are interested he can explain a many things about this part of Sri Lanka. He has huge knowledge about history, traditions, food, plants and also current issues. Also the whole estate reflects his interests with a beautiful garden, historic artefacts and an excellent cuisine, we are still missing. Thank you for this wonderful experience.
