House vacation rentals in Almyrida

We were there during the fall holidays and can warmly recommend the house. Since we had a rental car, the place was easy to reach. You have a private parking space and we felt very comfortable and safe, as the houses are additionally secured by a gate. The location is a bit remote, but very private and quiet. The view of the ocean is breathtaking and the private pool was just great. Everything was spotlessly clean, the beds were cozy and the furnishings in the house were perfectly adequate and very modern. A dining table is not available in the house, but that did not bother us in any way, as the weather in October was still so good that we could always eat outside. Maria helped us check in and gave us good excursion tips almost every day and inquired if everything was okay. The photos of the description are true to the original and reflect exactly what you actually find. We were super satisfied

We really enjoyed our stay. The accommodation is very lovingly furnished, clean and has a fantastic location right on the beach. The surrounding area is perfect for sightseeing (close to Chania, Aptera) and hiking. The hosts were very easy to reach and very friendly - there were even some Greek delicacies to welcome us. We would love to come back and can highly recommend this place! Thank you very much!

Especially Ourania - Dafni's mother and Malfada (Dafni's dog in the care of Ourania) really made us feel at home. She showed us what Cretan hospitality is, including local food. Coming home in the evening and sometimes staying there during the day was always a pleasure - both under the wonderful mulberry tree in the courtyard and in the beautiful house. There were plenty of excursion destinations - beautiful beaches and good food too. Thanks for the lovely stay!

Beautiful villa in a wonderful setting, the outside space is really spectacular. Everything you could need is available at the villa. We were staying with a 10m old and there were loads of baby items which made our trip so much easier. The hosts couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating and helped us with recommendations when we asked. Would highly recommend this villa. It’s also within easy driving distance to lovely places on the island.

We were a party of five, my wife and I and 3 30 year olds, our two twins and a son-in-law. We all couldn't say enough good things about this home: the view has to be one of the best on the whole island, relaxing, extremely private and immediately felt right at home. Starting and ending each day with that view, I didn't need anything else, but there is as much to do as you want. For example, just 6 minutes down the hill, you have the great little town of Platka with a few delicious local restaurants, market and a nice sports bar if you want a cocktail...like me. Another 10 minutes down the hill you come to Alymrida, the small coastal city that has nearly a dozen varied restaurants right on the water. 40 minutes away is the charming city of Chania, the jewel of Crete. This home is centrally located, 20+ minutes from the highway to go anywhere you wish to go...but keep in mind your leaving this view behind. I hope you enjoy it half as much as we did.

We had a wonderful week at Lina’s villa. It really is a beautiful place with a fantastic view. Close to some fabulous beaches and countryside. Lina was super helpful and friendly and really responsive. The pool was gorgeous. Bedrooms really comfortable. It is about 3km from the village and the road does turn and wind but we got used to it pretty fast and it is not so narrow and mostly lit at night. It is semi detached and the other villa had visitors but they were pretty quiet and we did not feel disturbed. Very glad we chose it

We had a great time staying at Zoi and Jorge's place, Villa Amorada is picture perfect and the surrounds are stunning.

We stayed at the end of October and could not have been happier with this villa. it was spotless, spacious and comfortable for 4 adults and 4 children. The access to the water park for free was excellent for the kids and the last day of opening for the season was on the day we left. The facilities were excellent and the lovely pool and outdoor barbecue area were all great to use. Lots of local supermarkets and restaurants within a km and good access to the beach. It's a first floor property which might be an issue with the steps but we liked having views from every room to the sea and beach. We couldn't really ask for anything else in our stay and if we come back to Crete we would look to stay here again. It's a short drive from Chania. The hosts were really friendly and helpful, offering help with hire cars and local amenities, but they left us to it. We had a great holiday in Crete and a lot of this was down to this superb accommodation we were lucky to find available for our stay

We loved every day here! Very high-quality amenities, tasteful and cozy furnishings, kitchen is well equipped (everything you need for cooking and enough to fill a dishwasher), very clean and fresh towels and bed linen, fantastic view (all 5 terraces!) with wonderful tranquility, and an extraordinarily warm welcome package (wine, milk, fresh fruit, vegetables, honey...). Very special!

Our family stay was even more enjoyable than expected. We quickly felt right at home. The house (Polymnia) is exactly as described and illustrated by the photos. The view and environment are amazing, while the pool delighted the children. The house is perfectly maintained and clean. The beds are comfortable and the air conditioning in the rooms is very efficient. The overall equipment is complete. The kitchen has all the necessary equipment for cooking, with basic condiments as well. Chrysi is an extremely available host, pleasant to contact. Very responsive, she always responded to our requests, no matter how small. She loves her region and does not hesitate to share her knowledge through valuable advice. We would recommend this simply magical place without thinking twice.

Our stay at Niko's house was just great! The rooftop terrace offers a breathtaking view that you can even enjoy from the hot tub. The location is quiet and relaxing without feeling restricted. The house is spacious and full of loving details that create a special atmosphere. We felt completely comfortable and can highly recommend this house!

This is a great place to stay in if you are looking for a lovely villa and pool in a very quiet and private location. The main sound is the goat bells ringing across the hills, yes really! Although it’s in the countryside there is easy access to the coast and the nearest village Vamos. Recommend trying the restaurants in Vamos. The hosts Judy and Mike are fantastic and are there to help if needed but otherwise give you space to enjoy this lovely place. Thanks very much Judy and Mike!!

We had a great stay at Michalis'! The location of the property is ideal, with beautiful views and a quiet environment. Michalis and his son welcomed us warmly, even though we arrived a little later because we had taken the more beautiful route through the city of Rethymno. A carafe of raki and chilled water were waiting for us as a welcome – a very nice gesture from Michalis. We especially enjoyed breakfast on the balcony, overlooking the Cretan sea and surrounded by chickens, ducks, cats and the friendly dog Bruno. Our son was thrilled and would have liked to take all the animals with him! The house itself is large, cozy and perfectly equipped and we felt completely comfortable. Michalis' father even surprised us with fresh eggs, a really loving touch. Overall, this place is a place to relax and enjoy. We will be happy to come back. Absolutely recommended!

Alexandra’s place finished off our holiday perfectly. It was better than the photos, with everything you needed. Cristina was great, very friendly and helpful, happy to welcome her to Australia if she comes for a holiday. There are quite a few restaurants around and it is only a short drive into Chania Old town (depending on traffic). The location was great as you could book tours or hire a boat. From this location we went to Balos, winery, olive oil tour and got to know the area. Would definitely stay again or recommend friends to stay. Thanks for making Crete so memorable.

We had a fantastic time in Chania, the location is very convenient. During March we had the possibility to use the rooftop to enjoy the weather and the view. Everything we needed we had in the apartment. Nice restaurants were in walking distance. We also liked the conversation with the owner and his brother. Everything was easy and nice, we also used the street market every Saturday just 5 minutes away to buy fresh vegetables and fruits directly from the farmers. We already are making plans to come back and spend more time in Chania. Thank you Nektarios for your help and your kindness.

We felt very comfortable in the stone, small summer house. We loved the courtyard covered by an old vine. In the evening you could illuminate it comfortably and beautifully. We were pleased that there were all the necessary spices in the kitchen and a bottle of red wine was on the table to welcome you. The location in a quiet side street but still only 2 minutes walk from the beach and the old village center of Colombia is ideal. The handover and communication with Dimitrios was very nice and straightforward. We are happy to recommend the place! We felt very comfortable in the small stone summer house. Stayed here for a week late Sept. Was fantastic. the best AB&A I think so far. Big place, very secure, easy walk to beach and to old town (once you get your bairings there are little short cuts-it just took us a while. Great bathroom- seperate loo downstairs too. big bed in main room . Fully equiped kitchen- although we mostly ate out- loads restaurants in beach area and town. We thought prices were good eating out. would defo come back again. location and actual place was great. We spent days on beach and nights in the old town. Apartment was lovely and quiet at night and very secure. Little outside space- great for cooling off. Little supermarket round corner- ok but would suggest going bigger super market (by Zara) to get supplies.about a 10 min walk once you get your bairings. Harbour a must in eve just to sit and have a drink- is beautiful- maybe eat in the little streets behind.

We had an amazing time at Elorhouse and highly recommend staying here for your trip to Chania! It was nice to be tucked away in a quieter area, but still so close to all of the bars and restaurants. Being a few footsteps from the water was wonderful. Nothing but good things to say about this place!

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful villa. No car needed as within walking distance of local tavernas, small shop and beach. Bus stop just a minutes walk away with regular service in Chania and buzzing village of Platanias. We didn't have children with us but villa was child friendly with option to gate off pool and stairgate. The villa itself was spotless. Pool was cleaned regularly and was spacious. Had several sitting areas in outside space. Although we didn't do any cooking the kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need. The bedrooms were clean and spacious. The shower was amazing, powerful with no issues with hot water. A lovely touch was having some supplies waiting for us on arrival such as juice, fruit, spread. Sophia was easy to contact and responsive. We would definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. Thank you so much Sophia!

We stayed at Thomas's house for a relaxing, car-free beach holiday at the end of September. The house was very comfortable, with a lovely garden overlooking the sea that was perfect for outdoor meals. Bakery, supermarkets, a few neighbourhood restaurants and sandy beaches all within walking distance -the nearest beach is about 10 minutes' walk with two more slightly further. Chania is a short bus ride away. Thomas was a charming and helpful host, who made us feel very welcome.

We had a fantastic stay at Seaside Villa Lavrys. The villa itself is spacious, well-maintained, and located in a peaceful area with a lovely view. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway, but do keep in mind that you’ll need a car to get around as the location is a bit remote. Taxi transportation from Chania costs around €30. What truly made our experience special was our host, Alex. From the moment we booked, Alex was incredibly responsive and attentive, always available to answer any questions we had. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable throughout our stay, offering great local tips and assistance whenever needed. His kindness and willingness to help made a huge difference in our trip. Alex’s family was also very warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home. We would highly recommend this villa to anyone looking for a peaceful, family-friendly stay in Crete, and Alex’s hospitality made it even better.

As a young family our stay at Gianna’s was exactly what we were looking for. Plenty of space in the garden for the kids to play and a playground to use, A grill in the yard, sun beds and a hammock to rest and read a book. A 10-15 minute walk to the main beach and restaurants. A great location to start the incredible hike to the gorge with Monastery.
