The team at Afloat Management was very flexible with our reservation and adding/removing guests which was very helpful. They were very responsive and helped us get everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The property at Caraholly retreat was beautiful, peaceful, and full of things to do - hot tub, sauna, beach, crab fishing, kayaks, paddle boards - we had such a great time! Thank you for a lovely stay!

Nothing could have been more uplifting for the Christmas spirit than a drive up the never ending Dewdney Trunk Rd. up Silverhill Mountain into the forest that surrounded Jane’s lovely log home and yard filled with ferry lights, Twinkling brightly in the festive night. entering the Christmas hearts theme home - after flowing a guided light tour entering the yard and up the walkway just after dusk. The overall feel was so exhilarating for my Obsessive Christmas diaorder - and it felt like we’d entered a perfect Christmassy ambience awakening. I fell in love more and more walking from each decorated room to even more decorated room. We were given a lovely fruit basket, and some nice hot drinks to indulge in - and had a lovely visit with Jane and Steve. After a wonderful sleep, we had a most amazing soak in the perfect netted hot tub I’ve ever had the pleasure of soaking in - with an outstanding view. The place is an oasis of comfort and joy - a perfect little spa getaway!

Great stay. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, couches were a little bagged but still supported five adults just fine. We spent two days over Christmas at Garth and Jennifer's, with three of our adult children. The location was lovely and peaceful in the trees, everything we needed was available, the wood fired hot tub was a great feature as was the covered deck with patio lights. There so many lovely finishes and touches, we really felt at home right away. There was a wind storm the night before where a tree took out the road and power to the house, G+J were great at communicating the issue with us hours before we were set to check in. They offered us a refund, but we decided to go for it anyways, in hopes that Hydro would be on it sooner than later. G+J were incredibly helpful and accommodating to us get set up without power, they brought a generators, lanterns, had the wood stove going before we arrived, extra wine and cookies. We would definitely stay again

We had such a great time at Carraholly Retreat! The boat ride over was super easy, and the place itself was so cute and cozy. We loved the clean hot tub and spent a lot of time relaxing in the sauna - it was such a treat. Perfect spot for a quick getaway from the city. We’ll definitely be back and would recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful escape!

An amazing experience!!!

This was our first time staying longer than one day in Canada. It was beautiful and peaceful, The Staff was friendly and helpful. We didn't have time to grab groceries our first night and they gave us some Pasta and Spaghetti. The hot tub was also very warm and relaxing. We will be back in the Summer to Kayak and swim for sure!

We absolutely loved our Christmas here. Plenty of space for 9 people. Our two families out on the slopes and Granny staying warm at home to look after our apres ski needs! We did find the oven was tricky to get used to and some of the living room furniture and bed linens felt well worn but the house was in a lovely peaceful spot and we all had a truly great time.

Beautiful spot in paradise. The cabin was fully stocked with beautiful linen, bathroom amenities and a fully stocked kitchen (2 fridges). The communication from the owners was amazing. The only problem was the road up, they do have a gator but you need experience to use it but otherwise highly recommended.

There’s something magical about the Sunshine Coast—it was a deeply spiritual experience. I highly recommend this host if you’re looking for a quiet escape from the hustle of Vancouver. My friends and I had an amazing time, and we especially loved the hot tub—it was definitely the highlight of our stay. I can absolutely see myself coming back!

I stayed at this beautiful cabin with a group of women and it was the perfect location for our quiet weekend away. We loved the asthetic of the house and all the beautiful details that Georgia had chosen for the cabin. The outdoor fire pit area is covered which meant that even though we had rain we could still enjoy the outdoor space. This is definitely a great choice for a cozy weekend away.

We had a WONDERFUL time at the little red cottage. The view is incredible! We loved having access to the beach and swim out to the swim dock. We were lucky enough to watch orca whales from the house! Ian and Mary were amazing hosts and made sure we felt right at home with everything we needed. We can’t wait to come back!!

I have to say that this was probably the most relaxing vacation we've ever had. We swam in the rain, hiked, read, did puzzles, and painted. We cooked together and made the best of the rain. The neighbors didn't seem to be around, so we had this little slice of paradise all to ourselves. The place isdogs friendly, which is a huge plus. I loved the old stove, and we even had our first crayfish. There were lots of huckleberries to pick, so we made huckleberry pancakes. I would recommend this place 100%. We hope to come back for my son's and my birthday in September.

I had the most wonderful stay at Jules’ cottage at Alderwood Farm! The cottage was incredibly cozy yet felt surprisingly spacious, thanks to the high ceilings and thoughtful layout. The photos don’t do it justice! The bathroom was a particular highlight with its stunning Mediterranean-style tiles and a big skylight that filled the space with natural light—it was an absolute dream (especially when it rained). Not to mention Tony the donkey, the geese, the dogs, the chickens, and of course, the emus, were all so much fun to see. After just two nights, it genuinely hurt to leave, and this is the first Airbnb I’ve stayed at where I immediately wanted to plan a return trip. Jules was a fantastic host, incredibly friendly, made great recommendations on what to do and where to eat, and overall made the entire experience perfection. Can’t wait to visit again!

We had such a wonderful long weekend at this beautiful "Paradise" cabin. The 3 night minimum is key because it will take you 3 nights to begin to master the exciting art of wood oven pizza firing! We got kind of obsessed, and it was a really fun activity. The property and cabin are beautiful and private. The river and sauna are stunning. And, the location is ideal for exploring the Squamish area. We'd love to return one day!

We spent a long weekend here with our two boys. Having the house right on the water was fabulous, made for hours of the kids searching for crabs while we hung out on the chairs. Neighbors were also friendly as they walked the beach. Conveniently close to center of town, super easy to get around.

Sharon and Craig's place is exactly the kind of experience that makes AirBnB worthwhile. The place was so peaceful and scenic, and the area around the cabin was very quiet and private. We appreciated having so much space to ourselves, and spent a lot of time relaxing on the pergola, both on the hammocks and around the fire pit, enjoying the amazing view and the company of the deer family that visits often. There are a number of trails (including up to some scenic viewponts) that you can easily walk to, and we took their kayak out for a spin as well. Sharon and Craig are amazingly friendly and responsive, which made our trip stress-free, and made us feel welcome right away. They have some great stories, and you can tell they've put so much love into everything they do. As a bonus, we saw whales on our water taxi ride back! We would love to return again in the future, and would highly recommend their cabin, as long as you are comfortable with off-grid living.

We had a lovely stay at Sarah’s place. The unique and beautifully designed home felt comfortable and relaxing, with views of the surrounding nature. We enjoyed being able to walk a short distance to Gumboot and the beach. It was a peaceful and perfect getaway!

The location and view are unbelievable. The house seems brand new. Everything is very nice. From the moment you walk in you feel at home. Waking up to water and mountains , watching the views change constantly was so peaceful. Sheila met us when we showed up and we chatted for a few minutes but other than that it was silent and relaxing for 4 days. Gibson is a 10 minute drive for town stuff….make sure to check out Gibsons Landing for a stroll along the water. Plenty of other little great towns to visit within a short drive along the coast. From the views, the most comfortable bed, the gas fireplace, heated floors and quiet, peaceful surroundings…you can’t beat this place! Thanks Gary and Sheila for opening your beautiful home and sharing it with us.

The cottage is heavenly! A hidden gem nestled on the waters edge and minutes away from the bustle of Gibson’s landing and the doorstep to all the coast has to offer. The view from the cottage and the tranquil sounds of the lapping waves is paradise perfect for an unwind and the glorious sunrises the best way to wakeup with Keats island dotting the near distance. Lynette and David were fabulous, easy check in, local suggestions and the sublime beauty even more stunning in person. You will no doubt have an amazing stay and cannot recommend it highly enough! We look forward to being back again.

Was so lovely!! And a great surprise for my boyfriend for his Xmas gift! It was so quiet and private! It was a dream to sleep and wake up to all the sea life in the water below! The floor the ceiling windows made you feel like you were one with nature! Very appreciative of the night stay, the wood burning fire and the sauna was such a gift. Thank you

The spacious "cabin" is superbly designed and equipped. Top quality appliances, under-floor heating (which we didn't need, it being summer) with multiple controls for different areas of the house (which is a better description for it), triple-glazed windows with screens, I could go on! The forest situation, in a waterfront residential district of large lots and big houses, ia tranquil and beautiful. As we were visiting family in the area, we didn't do much more than sleep in the "cabin", but one could truly live in it for extended periods. It's hard to think what could be done to improve it. A special touch, which my wife and family visitors admired very much, was the "frosted glass" window next to the front door, which showed an aerial view chart of the islands and coastline of the Georgia Strait waters of BC. We will certainly stay there again!

An amazing place to stay for a nice getaway. The place itself was immaculate and had everything we needed for a cozy cabin! Being surrounded by beautiful forested land and the creek right outside was so amazing! Ayla was very helpful, and friendly. Will definitely want to return here again!
