Vacation rentals with a kayak in Alexandria

If you’re into wildlife, this place is for you! The island is beautiful and very peaceful. On my 6 day trip I found 4 different owl species, 5 hawk species, bald eagles in the backyard, foxes and coyotes across the island, and ducks/geese all over. The house itself is perfect and Finbar was very responsive to what I needed.

We loved staying at the river house. Beautiful view of the river and comfy accommodations. The hosts were incredibly thoughtful- even bringing over flowers for Thanksgiving. The place was nicely decorated for the season. When it snowed, they brought over some sleds for the kids. I would love to come back in the summer! Only drawbacks were that the heating was a bit uneven in the main room with all of the windows, but it warmed up nicely with a fire in the fireplace- which is a great touch. The water smells very sulphur-y, but that’s common in wells near the river. Being from the area originally it didn’t bother me too much. Thank you Cassie and Shana! We had a great time.

Great place! We loved the water front access, screened in area and hot tub. Lots of yard games to play and the beds were extremely comfortable! Wish we had planned to stay longer.

Christina's cottage was a great place to relax and unwind with my friends. Seriously, we didn't want to leave. The house is clean, uncluttered, and perfectly decorated. The fully stocked kitchen and comfortable living room made our stay extra enjoyable. Christina has thought of everything that a traveler may need... snacks, games, toiletries, beach towels.. you name it. The back deck gave us a front row seat for the sunset, so nice! She was very responsive to anything we needed. Great house, great host. Thank you.

Once again, camp Reminiscing did not disappoint!! This was our 4th time here for our annual guys weekend. The house was comfortable and large enough for us. The kitchen was well stocked, and we were able to make some great feasts! Watching football, euchre games, night time astrophotography, and walking the neighborhood were some of our activities. Awesome place, its a little dated, as my girlfriend referred to it, the little 70’s Chateau. But it was very clean, and comfortable. The house was very warm over New Year and we would have loved to enjoy the fire pit by the river. Maybe we will make it back over the summer.

We totally loved Mexi’s place. It was super relaxing and restful for us. It was so comfortable, it felt like home. Mexi is very easy to communicate with which made it nice. Thanks, Mexi! And… Mexi had everything you might need on your visit away… from blow dryer and straightener, to shampoo/conditioner/body wash, and much more. One spot we really liked a lot was the porch. So peaceful. You won’t be disappointed. We would come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this unique unit. The surroundings are beautiful, and we got a lot of pleasure from sunrise coffee on the patio in the morning and afternoon beverages with a sunset on the other side of the road. The unit is well equipped and filled with natural light, and Sam provide thorough instructions to help you manage the property’s quirks. We found it very quiet and were not bothered at all by the traffic to the ferry. The bed is comfortable and there was an ample supply of linens and towels. The location gives you easy access to Gananoque. We enjoyed walking the Gananoque perimeter trail and exploring the older part of town. We highly recommend the Stoneacre Gastropub and the almond florentines from Panache Bakery.

Perfect spot for hanging out before our tournaments, wish we had more time to enjoy the property.

We just spent a lovely winter weekend here and it was fantastic. Surrounded by beautiful wintry woods and next to a frozen lake. Cozy fireplace and blankets, good selection of games. Great place to disconnect, unwind, snuggle up, and enjoy the quiet. Would definitely recommend.

Our family and dog had a great Christmas time at Blake’s place. Right on the lake and within walking distance to the town of Westport. Cottage was fully stocked and comfortable for the family of 4. Kids enjoyed ice fishing and star gazing. Blake and Lizzie were wonderful hosts and very responsive.

We loved this Air B and B! We had a girls weekend. The decor and ecstatic was amazing. Having a wood burning fireplace roaring while watching the snow fall was pretty spectacular. We felt right at home from the get go. Rhys was also super responsive to our inquiries. The grocery store at Glenburnie is bananas good. They have a butcher shop inside and the meat was incredible. But all of the former good was incredible too. We will totally be back!

The cottage exceeded all expectations. Our families loved it here. There were 3 adults and 4 kids, age range from 6-13. There were activities for all ages, from board games to movies, to water activities. The water was clean and great for swimming and fishing. It was quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed the sun set too. The cottage was so clean and spacious and had everything that we needed and more then was expected. We felt right at home. Faby was a great host and very quick to respond with any questions. Looking forward to booking again next year!

Great cabin with a beautiful lake view. Well stocked, quiet, peaceful, and amazing swimming in clean clear water. 100% recommend and definitely would visit again.

Amazing place to stay! I’ve traveled to a lot of Airbnb all over the US, and this is my favorite. All the amenities, and everything you might could need. 10/10 recommend! Desiree is the best.

Don's quaint, rustic cottage in a very private setting was just what we were looking for. It's perfect for a couple. For late October, the colours were still glorious, and the space was cozy. Don was very kind, and he even left a card and some treats in the fridge for us in honour of our anniversary. If you're looking to disconnect and find some tranquility, this is the place!

Amazing scenery. Timely responses. Compassionate support. It all made this trip worthwhile. Would definitely recommend this airbnb to anyone looking for a more remote cabin experience.
