We enjoyed our visit with our family over New Year for three nights. Luis was a very helpful host and always responded quickly to any questions. We appreciated the freshly baked cake on arrival and on the second morning some treats from the bakery. We particularly enjoyed seeing the fireworks from the exclusive resort of the opposite side of the river for New Year. We popped open a bottle of bubbles to share on the rooftop terrace with a fabulous view at midnight. Great atmosphere. Would be fun to return during the summer months to enjoy the lovely pool.

The villa is incredible! Numerous rooms with storage and plenty of space. Numerous bathrooms. Very spacious living and dining room. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need (coffee machine, utensils, toaster etc.) The game room is a huge plus for rainy days. The pool is cold, but perfect for cooling off, and once in it is very nice. We had a great vacation in this amazing house! There are beautiful river beaches nearby, beautiful views as well. You have to love calm and nature because there are no big cities within an hour (the closest is Coimbra) but supermarkets 5 min away for groceries ;) The house is 1.5 hours from Porto and 2.5 hours from Lisbon, ideal for a day trip :) Thanks to Karen and her spouse for hosting us :) You can book without so much as a second thought!

We really liked the Chalet. It has all amenities for a few days of rest. It's super comfortable. It matches the photos and description. When the wildfires created anxiety and uncertainty about our stay in Casa Rustica, Elisabete took care of everything; she provided a safe haven until there was no further risk in the Rossas area. Thank you so much, Elisabete, you did everything to reassure us and make us comfortable. As for Casa Rustica, it's absolutely wonderful - gorgeous pool, Jacuzzi, relaxing living spaces and a well-equipped kitchen; the garden is lush with fruit and there are beautiful views from the balconies. Thanks to Sandra, too, for a great show-around and providing on-the-spot help if needed. In a nutshell, all fab!

Luisa is a great host: very kind and friendly! She has surprised us with a rich breakfast full of local veggies from the garden and traditional bread from the region. Her suggestions have also helped us to come with a road trip plan for the next day. Very picturesque scenery, great views, comfortable, thoughtful and cozy house with modern equipment and stylish furniture. Everything was clean and functioned amazingly. We were more than satisfied! If we come back to Douro Valley again, we'd definitely make a stop there again!

Perfect stay, nothing bad to point out. Both Mrs. Ana and the lady who received us were very friendly, attentive and always showed availability. Francisco's house is a wonder: spacious and cool even in August, with the pool in front that is fantastic, and on a huge and fascinating estate, with thousands of things to do and see, even kayaking on the lake that has been formed in an old quarry, or an incredible art space. Francisco is charming ( as well as his wife I met too), friendly, available and also a very interesting person with an inspiring project. I recommend it to everyone.

Great location, somewhat remote, close to Vouzela. The proximity of Ecopista (walking/biking trail) is a big bonus: you can walk to nearby towns through beautiful nature, cute houses and vineyards. The co-host, Fatima, was very helpful with advice, suggestions and recommendations. The house itself is beautifully renovated and furnished, and very clean.

We had a fantastic experience at D.'s house. Helena's. The place is fantastic and incredibly quiet and with a wonderful view of the vineyards in Resende. Extremely nice pool and garden, perfect for relaxing, and with Wi-Fi available. D. Helena was a very friendly hostess and gave us all the necessary information. We recommend visiting this place and we'll be back as soon as we can.

We loved staying here and would like to again! The house was just as described and within walking distance to local grocery stores and restaurants. I loved waking up to see the beautiful fog roll in over the mountains and a herd of sheep doing their morning grazing. When it rains you can see the river from the balcony and it creates a relaxing sound. We also enjoyed getting cozy in front of the fireplace at night. More than anything, we appreciated António’s mother, who was very sweet and brought us pastries and chocolates. António was very kind and answered any questions we had right away. His father was nice as well! The cleaning service after two weeks was also a lovely touch. This place is a perfect getaway if you are looking to de-stress and be near nature and friendly people. The only thing I will note is if you are coming in winter it can be a bit cold (not surprising-it is winter!) so bring some warmer comfort clothes to wear around the house.

Staff was wonderful, very helpful and responsive. We had a delightful wine tasting. They set up a taxi to take us to town and told us where to have dinner. The small village was extremely charming, we had a great dinner and our taxi driver was waiting to take us back after. The room and property were top notch. the only minor issue we had and it may be our fault, is we were further away from the Douro Valley than we thought. The directions were correct, but I missed my turn into the property, it isnt much of a road and it sneaks up on you. It would be challenging to find at night. But in the end, we were extremely pleased with our experience and very glad we stayed. We would wholeheartedly recommend it!!

Accommodation to enjoy it at all times, every corner very cared for and with many nice details. Located outside Amarante, in a very quiet area. Unbeatable barbecue and pool area, ideal for spending a few days with the family. The house is not very big, but it is well used and lacks nothing. On the other hand, Paulo's attention is worthy of praise, caring at every moment of our well-being, and counting on the help of wonderful neighbors who made us the stay very pleasant and pleasant. Without a doubt, the quality/price is more than recommended, we would repeat with our eyes closed now that we know Paulo and his surroundings. And another thing, let's discover the green wine of the area, how rich! 🤤😃 Thank you very much for everything, we will come back.

It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things.
