It was not by chance that we chose to return to the village of St. Gregory. We were very happy when we chose to visit the same for the first time and this was no exception! Great stay for those looking for a quiet and quiet place. The hospitality was once again exceptional. Casa da Vinha is perfect for 4 people and its interior is welcoming and spacious and equipped with all basic amenities. The abroad is very nice. The village's four-legged inhabitants have once again made our stay even more special! We want to praise the work of D. Maria, as always very helpful and attentive. To you, Salvador, we have to thank you for all your availability and attention. Thanks for the excellent work and for being quite flexible with us. We miss it already. We'll be back soon. Sincerely, a great stay, everything perfect. The house very welcoming, enough to welcome 8 people. The bigger pool than it looks on the pictures, which is quite positive. Only the internet was not so good, failing many times, but we highlighted it due to being a rural area. The host was very friendly to leave us for shopping and luggage in the apartment before check-in time. I definitely recommend and intend to return.

If you are looking for a rustic escape and love vintage charm, this is the place for you! Miguel's house is in a very peaceful setting where you will only hear birds and the occasional sheep. There are plenty of places to lounge around the property, including of course next to the beautiful pool. The house is a converted water mill which, along with the many antique items and furniture, makes you feel like you have a window to the past. The house is also quite spacious, with 3 full bathrooms and multiple rooms. There were only 3 of us, and we were swimming in space. Another thing to note is Miguel's hospitality. He is a very warm person and came to check on us several times during our stay. Not only that, but he left us fresh bread every morning, and we were shocked to find that the kitchen was fully stocked with yogurt, cheese, ham, fruit, butter, jam, and all kinds of snacks. In terms of downsides, it's worth noting that this house is not for everyone. It is quirky and not everything works like in a modern home. There is no AC, and Alentejo gets very hot, although the home does stay fairly cool due to its design. There are also many hungry feral cats that hang around outside, which got a bit much at times. However, if you are the type of person who is interested in this place, chances are that none of these things should bother you. Overall it's a wonderful home!

Very nice apartment well located for enjoying Monsaraz and the region. There are several supermarkets about a 15 minute drive and several restaurants in Monsaraz Old Town. We appreciated the special touch with the Christmas decorations installed. Heating with heat pump for optimal comfort. Well equipped kitchen for cooking. Recommended!

It was a great stay, soon upon entering it surprised by the positive since in the photographs the house looks smaller than in reality. A fully renovated space with a more rustic and regional touch in the decor. There is parking at a few meters which is also a point in favor. I highlight the comfort and how pleasant the outdoor space is, arguably the most used area in our stay. The swimming pool and the living area that being equipped with exterior sockets allowed us to spend much of our days in the backyard. We also refer to the friendliness of the hostess, super pleasant and available for any questions. Congratulations and a lot of success. Thank you!

This location is perfect if you want to drive and spend a few days exploring the Alentejo. Multiple towns are nearby. Evora is a great all day trip, including the megaliths outside of town, and you get to leave all the guided groups behind. Elvas is a wonderful town very near the border with Spain. Villa Real is a gem. Arraiolos is known for weaving rugs. Evoramonte is close by and has terrific views. All of these towns are hilltop towns with castles. The regional wine is terrific, the cork industry is fascinating, the olives, oranges, and lemons, are great, and you are in the middle of the area of marble quarrying. The towns are predominantly full of white buildings with mustard or blue trim and lot and lots of marble. Fica’s place is comfortable, quiet, and has restaurants, bakeries, drugstores, and small shops just steps away.

We recommend the stay as the house is very well equipped, very quiet area and has everything needed for a great vacation. The location is great for those who want to enjoy the wonderful river beaches of Alqueva, especially Azenhas d'el Rei and Mourão or get lost in one of the most beautiful villages in Portugal, Monsaraz.

House exactly as described in the ad, I recommend! All rooms equipped with Air Conditioning, TV and Bathroom. Fully equipped and modern kitchen. Shared courtyard with pool. Surely a repeat experience soon!

Very accommodating host with timely responses

Elvas centre is within a still-complete-fortress-like-walls from medieval times : the town is historical beautiful full of narrow hilly roads not suitable for big modern cars - however, if you head for the "Igreja de São Pedro" church via "San Vicente gate entrance", you can easily park just past it by the trees, and you have arrived avoided all narrow roads. The apartment is compact and well prepared/presented for guests, with many thoughtful touches of quality furniture and appliances for this type of AirBnB flat. Nice bed within air-conditioned room. Good shower with both overhead and separate tap. Decent kitchen including a full oven, pots/ cultery/ plates/ linen to make cooking easy, with a decent fridge. Recommended for memorial Portuguese stay, I'd go again.
