Mt. Dark Sky Cottage By Great Sand Dunes, Alamosa

NatalieRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This heavenly stay was our favorite thus far in the past 3 years visiting the area (several times a year)! It’s no small thing to find a home where a family of 9 can comfortably play & sleep! We knew waking up to that view of Mt Blanca would be magnificent but pictures cannot capture it fully. And roasting smores around the gorgeous fire pit under those Blanca stars is what our Wonder Years with the children are made of! This momma also loved having access to cleaning products to tidy up through the week! I love being able to keep a beautiful home beautiful! This home had wonderful extra amenities like fresh farm eggs & s’more supplies! I also have to include that we saw wild horses up close one morning and an entire herd of deer moving through the valley! We didn’t want to leave! The hosts were incredible, kind and always available. We will look forward to our next stay here!

The Dunes Place: House and Loft

KirstyRating, 5 stars10 months ago
Super cute house! So close to the Sand Dunes, recreation hot springs, and the gator farm. Loved being so close to all of the sight seeing. House was clean and super stocked up. Would definitely stay again if I was in the dunes area.

Family Retreat

EleanorRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Yesenia’s place was the perfect little retreat while a few of us were staying in Alamosa to attend classes on campus. Some highlights were watching the sunset over the mountains in the hot tub, incredible sunrises, playing pool, hanging out in the living room and sleeping in the super comfy master bed. The only downside was that it did get pretty cold a couple times, even when the heat was cranked up and that the twin beds weren’t comfortable. However, we would absolutely stay again!

The Hideaway Spot

MaxiRating, 5 stars1 week ago
My girlfriend and I loved staying here. Danyelle’s home was so lovely. Just the right amount of space to feel cozy. Loved having all the amenities available - really solidified feeling at home. Easy access to all Alamosa and despite being right off the road, was super quiet. We plan on staying here again next time come back. Highly recommend!

West Bungalow Great Sand Dunes-walk to ASU #2402

Sweet and simple house that was just right for me during my week at Adams State for labs. It took me a minute to figure out how to get in the door, but having the lockbox was really nice vs dealing with a key.

The Bluebird - Great Sand Dunes

MartaRating, 5 stars7 months ago
We never met Matthew. We did meet Chris and Perrin who take care of the location and do a fantastic job! They made us feel incredibly welcome and explained everything we needed to know. They both came out on our second night there to see how things were going and we spent the evening around the campfire together. Great people that I want to talk to again. They have really made a fantastic place to stay and unwind in the quiet of a beautiful landscape. We lucked out and were the only people on the property for the the few days we stayed. We will definitely be going back here again!

The Juniper - Great Sand Dunes

CamilleRating, 5 stars7 months ago
This was the most magical place I’ve stayed maybe ever. It was so beautiful and the folks I met were so thoughtful and kind! It was so fancy and accommodating. Felt like a 5-star hotel but with a camping twist. Clean bathrooms, charging ports for phones, nice people, good location, it was an awesome stay. Will be returning!!

The Sunflower - Great Sand Dunes

HannahRating, 5 stars6 months ago
The stay at Chris and Perrin’s property was absolutely excellent. The location is perfect to visit the Sand Dunes and their communication for arriving was clear and helpful. The property is stunning and was the perfect place to enjoy a luxurious stay while still being remote. Incredible mountain views with gorgeous starry nights made for a great time enjoying the outdoors. Can’t recommend this place enough!

40 Winks Inn Alamosa #2 License#02994

DanRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I stay there frequently for work. I gave the 3 stars on location not as a bad thing. Location is something different for everyone, to that point it is right downtown close to great restaurants and a very nice park. It has direct access to the river and walking trails.

Visit Great Sand Dunes, ASU #3176

SharonRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Loved everything about Ana's place. Great coffee shop, restaurants and Safeway all within walking distance. Plus Campus Cafe on the other side of Safeway - not to be missed. Less than 30 minutes to Monte Vista Natl Wildlife Refuge providing easy access to migrating sandhill cranes - also not to be missed. And 30 minutes in the other direction to Great Sand Dunes. Plus walking trails along Rio Grande just minutes away by foot. Stylish and cozy interior. Everything inside well-maintained and taken care of. Wonderful stay. Super host. Hope to be back.
