Absolutely faultless experience. The beautiful house and excellent team of staff exceeded all of our expectations. We were incredibly comfortable in the spacious and beautifully designed and furnished house and gardens. The house managed to combine all of the above whilst allowing us to feel completely ‘at home’. Sunil, the on-site villa manager, was always able to help and guide us with all our needs for transport and excursions etc. Sunil is also a wonderful chef. He cooks with skill but also with love. We felt very well looked after. He and his team kept the villa spotless and were kind and friendly throughout. We hugely appreciated the effort they made to help us celebrate our daughters birthday whilst we were there. Would 100% recommend.

We had a wonderful time here. Sonia is exceptionally kind and helpful. The house is spacious, set in a beautiful garden, and equipped with all modern conveniences. The garden is full of nice wildlife to spot, and the pool was clean. You share the pool with another house on the same property, but we had it to ourselves for 7 days. The location is also great—close to Ahangama and several surfspots and restaurants, yet in a quiet area, far from the main road. If we return to Sri Lanka, we hope to stay here again!

Our stay at Villa Candlelight in Galle, managed by Dineru, was exceptional. We were a group of four staying from December 25, 2024, to January 1, 2025, and the villa exceeded expectations. The property was spotless and even more beautiful than the photos. The thoughtful design and amenities created a luxurious and comfortable atmosphere. Dineru was an excellent host—responsive and accommodating throughout our stay. The fully equipped kitchen was pristine and had all the essentials for preparing meals. The private indoor pool was a highlight, offering endless relaxation. The villa's central location in Galle was ideal—just minutes from Galle Dutch Fort, Unawatuna Beach, Jungle Beach, and local markets. Despite being in the city, the villa offered complete privacy with secure walls and a gated entrance. Villa Candlelight perfectly blends luxury, comfort, and privacy. We highly recommend it to anyone visiting Galle and look forward to returning. Dineru has created a wonderful home away

We had a lovely stay there. We would stay 2 nights but have stayed 4! It feels like you're in the jungle. Wonderful! Lovely swimming pool. Every evening fireflies in the garden. Very nice, helpful host. Highly recommended!

In a nutshell: we found a paradise. We looked for a peaceful place, where we can live self sufficient. And in Damith Villa Ovita we found a tropical garden, a house in harmony with nature and tradition. But also modern, comfortable, clean and practical. We cooked, we observed and enjoyed the nature with a diversity of animals and plants. And last but not least we had the unique chance to participate in a buddhist ceremony and a celebration from his family. Because now Damith will open a new guest house. The old one is cosy, small but beautiful. And the new one was born and built from his ideas and his hands. Its one of the most wonderful and peaceful houses I've ever seen. If you have the chance and longing for idyll, so come to this place. You won't find bars, clubs and restaurants. But you'll find a most adorable village with a little paradise of Damith in the heart. The beach is a few steps away and beautiful. And also you can buy everything for daily use. Thanks for everything!

We had a great time staying in this villa for one month. Finding a good place in Sri Lanka at a reasonable price is so hard. This villa exceeded our expectations. It was much better in real life than in pictures. The sunrise through the windows softly illuminates the jungle, calling us to wake up early for every new day. It is very natural and comfortable to stay in. But our experience would not have been as exciting without the villa's owner, Nuwan. Nuwan is the best man on the island, and we became friends. Every time, he helped us in different situations. We will come back to that place because there are the people who make the place truly happy.

This was an amazing place to stay! The house was exactly as described. The host was incredibly friendly and responsive, quickly addressing any issues that came up and ensuring our stay was as comfortable as possible. Highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

The view from the villa is simply stunning, we enjoyed many afternoons lounging by the pool. The villa is spacious & well equipped for all your needs, we didn’t want for anything whilst there. The space is perfect for families & is spacious enough not to feel cramped. The dining area on the veranda is such a lovely place to enjoy breakfast or dinner.. The fish market is only a 10 minute journey away and there are plenty of little fruit & veg stores on the road leading to Unawatuna to grab everyday essentials. Try and use PickMe app or the next door neighbour has an auto for rent at good prices. There is a housekeeper on-site to assist with anything you need. Only downside was the waste management, the issue was raised with Christa so hopefully that will be resolved. Christa was a very good host, she even purchased a Christmas tree & lights for Xmas a very thoughtful touch. Overall we loved our stay & would happily return.
