Pet-friendly vacation rentals in Akaroa Harbour

I had a great time at this lovely Airbnb! The place itself is cozy, clean, and well-maintained, with all the amenities you could need for a comfortable stay. The host was very responsive and helpful throughout my visit. One thing to note is that the property is located on a busy road, so there can be some traffic noise, especially during the day. Additionally, the area directly across the road seemed a bit dodgy, with some homeless people hanging around. While I didn’t experience any issues, it’s something to be mindful of when coming and going. Overall still a wonderful place to stay.

The second time we have stayed at Marees place. Both times were lovely, a beautiful home, in a great location to central Akaroa. We will be booking again if / when we are back.

Throughly enjoyed our time at Kirwee, just far enough out of Chch to enjoy some peace and quiet, but close enough to go in for the day’s activities. Close to the river, and great local pub which was recommended. Pets allowed is a great bonus for us with a Labrador, he was able to roam the back yard with the security of a fenced in yard. Large house with beautiful furnishings, would recommend any of our friends and family to stay here.

Wow thank you Susan for a lovely place to stay. Great location with easy walking distance to the city centre. Amazing to be able to have my fur baby with me as well and having the convenience of Latimer Square for toileting was so great. Susan’s place was clean and tidy and very inviting. The double glazing blocked out so much noise. The parking was the only issue as there was not always parks outside the apartment but we managed and at least it was free for now. Thank you 😊

It’s a very quiet and nice place to stay. Everything is good in the house. Pavla prepared some snacks for us, the children are all happy and sleep well. If you are traveling with a car, it’s perfect for you.

We needed a last minute place to stay over the Christmas/New Year period and we’re extremely fortunate to snag this spot! Bogdan and his partner were exemplary hosts and the place was just what we needed. The Christchurch weather didn’t play very nice but on the one or two clear days the view from the deck was spectacular. There was a small snag with the hot water but the hosts sorted it very fast. Highly recommend!!

Fantastic property. Even better than photos. The pool and outside area was amazing. Every amenity you could think of was there. Added touch of a Christmas tree and a present under it for our the little girl in our group. Would highly recommend.

Had a great stay at Jen's. Felt really comfortable there and we were settled in nicely when arrived. Apartment was well equipped - had everything we needed and more. Especially appreciated having the dog there with the fully fenced back yard. Location was superb - great views and access to dog walking spots.

our stay here what just what we needed. we had a very busy weekend so coming back to the accomodation in between our busy schedule was just what we needed. the property was dreamy, the location is fantastic close to many things but feels like you are in a small slice of paradise. my daughter loved the animals so much and the pool was wonderful ❤️

Amazing farm stay experience and the owners are extremely sweet and overall we had a great experience!

Great modern house in Christchurch’s suburbs (less than 10mn drive to the centre). The house was very clean and well equipped. It is a little paradise for kids with a room full of games (darts, football table, video games, board games,…), a jacuzzi and a basketball ring. We all had a great time!

Our stay at Watford Cottage was lovely. A private spot nestled in lovely surrounds. We were very comfortable there and enjoyed our stay. The cottage and the garden were both gorgeous

overall a great stay. the flat was as expected, fully functional and good equipped. access to the beach was nice, especially to observe the early sunrise. it's outside of New Brighton, to shops and bars it would be a 6+km walk (a bit long). there is a bus stop in front of the house which brings you to New Brighton in 10-15 min and into the city (bus interchange) in 40-45 minutes. with a car you probably would be better off. but it was absolutely OK without. the host Robert is a very nice guy. we had some good chats.

Genuinely one of the best AirBnB’s I’ve ever stayed in. Very highly recommend for anyone visiting Christchurch. Hope to stay again in future!

The location of this place was great! The mezzanine bed was cute, and being dog friendly is always a positive! The parking and private location was lovely.

I absolutely loved staying here for two nights with my dog. So peaceful, beautiful & relaxing. Tracey was super lovely & responsive to messages. I highly recommend anyone to stay here for some relaxing time, can walk down to the beach as well. Just perfect. Thanks again Tracey :)
