House vacation rentals in Agujitas de Drake

I stayed at Don Melvin's house and the truth was exceptional. All in order, everything was perfect, but the best part was when we met him. Nos offered Chinese moms and pipas from their property. Afterwards we stayed talking to him while a big downpour was falling. He is a man who knows many things and grew up in the region then has many stories. I recommend it 100%.

We stayed at Casa Rio Sierpe the first week of November for our honeymoon. It was an incredibly unique and restorative experience! Mark's house is stunning, right in the middle of the rainforest. The house is remote, peaceful, and quiet. We were lucky enough to be visited by spider monkeys and howler monkeys right outside the house! We chose to add a tour of Corcovado to our itinerary but otherwise kept to the included items. We loved horseback riding, the fruit farm and beaches and the tour of the upper Sierpe, but I am convinced you can't go wrong with any of the recommendations. We felt we could easily have spent an entire month at the house without issue. After you book Mark reaches out directly to put you in contact with Rayna. Between Mark and Rayna anything you need is taken care of well before you get to Costa Rica so there are no questions about your arrival. Once in Costa Rica Simone Ruben, and Adriana make sure your stay goes by smoothly with no issues.

Breathtaking view of the ocean from the porch and most of the house with sounds of birds all around and largely secluded. Comfy hammocks too! A/C in bedrooms was wonderful and unusual given it was scorching hot. Drinking water, lots of linens and everything we needed for cooking was provided. very nice owners. Susan arranged a lovely horseback ride for us. Things to know: 1) Getting to the nearby bar, restaurant and beach is a hike down or up a steep paved trail. My regret is not planning to cook more meals/make own drinks given up and down walk. 2) Beach waa not very swimmable...lots of churn/heavy waves. Swimmable/nice beach is probably 45 min walk from the house. Overall, loved it!!

Peaceful location in a village with bird song. Handy to Drake Bay and the tour to Corcovado Park. Mike lent us snorkeling equipment for a day at the beach which was was both exciting and relaxing. We were a group of three so one person slept in an open air room enclosed in netting. Anna's soda is a must as she is a gracious lady and her authentic meals are excellent! Mike was always there to answer any questions. We recommend this stay while in the Drake Bay area.

We had an awesome adventure at Casa Roja, it was a beautiful house in an amazing location. We spotted monkeys from the living room most days, we were visited by the Macaws several times during our stay, and the tours of Corcovado & Canos were spectacular. Graciela and staff were extremely friendly, accommodating, and the prepared meals were delicious. It was obvious that our happiness and comfort was their priority. I would highly recommend Casa Roja for a Costa Rican retreat, just be prepared for the heat. Without a steady breeze or airflow via fans, the heat can be brutal for northerners like us.

Very friendly hosts, great food at every meal with very good coffee. Absolutely quiet and very clean rooms located directly in a well-kept garden with lots of birds. Good beds. Property located right on the way to the national park. Hosts with lots of local information about various private tours. Great stay! Nichole was very responsive and communicative and Mario was helpful getting us to the place and set up. Saw monkeys and toucans from the house, great location close to restaurants and stores. Would stay again!
