Family-friendly vacation rentals in Abbotsford

We had a lovely time. Lots of room for our family of 9 adults and 7 children, with plenty of activities both inside and out. The close proximity to Harrison Lake made it easy to get away for a few hours.

Large and beautiful home, literally. Our daughters ask to come back on 2 separate occasions. Jenny was a great host, accommodating and proactive. Quiet and calm neighbourhood, 2 min walk to the COMO LAKE, wow! Last but not least, you got to meet Milo the dog, what a smart human like dog. Thank you Jenny and see you again!!!

We had a fantastic stay at this charming house! Everything was spotless, cozy, and well-equipped for a relaxing getaway. The hosts were incredibly responsive and a pleasure to communicate with, making the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The only minor downside was that the photos don’t quite do the property justice. The house is absolutely adorable in person, with so much character and charm that isn’t fully captured in the pictures. Overall, a wonderful stay—we’d definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful retreat!

This stay was exactly what we were hoping for— totally quiet, forest all around, cute cabin, clean, hot tub, dog-friendly, washer/dryer, complete kitchen, and close to Mt. Baker to ski. I noticed the hot tub was crystal clean— no dirt or anything at the bottom of the tub, as has been common in other places we have stayed. We enjoyed ourselves very much. My only comment is that $600/night is a lot to pay. I think that’s the going rate in the area and AirBNBs have just grown more expensive over time. This is a nice and basic cabin— not a luxury hotel by any means so it felt very expensive… but again, I think that’s just the way things are going nowadays.

I recently stayed at a stunning Airbnb on the water near Port Moody, and it was unforgettable. The groomed backyard, vibrant florals, and breathtaking views created an inviting atmosphere. The hot tub was a highlight, perfect for relaxing while soaking in the scenery. Inside, the Airbnb was immaculate and beautifully decorated. The cozy living area and comfortable bed made for a wonderful stay. A standout feature was the sauna shower, adding an extra touch of indulgence. Our hosts were easy to communicate with, and we are very grateful and happy to have booked such a beautiful suite. Overall, this waterfront Airbnb is a perfect retreat, offering peace, comfort, and stunning natural beauty. Highly recommended for an exceptional getaway. I will be back. We made beautiful memories and I’m looking forward to returning. ❤️

Excellent spot to stay, close to everything you need but very calm neighborhood. All directions were very clear and a super smooth check in. Would definitely stay here again.

Loved staying at Colleen's place! The perfect cabin, so cute, right on the lake, very cozy. The place has everything you need to feel at home, and the living/kitchen area is spacious to hang out in. Rooms were very comfortable, you could sleep 7 adults comfortably in the main cabin. We stayed over Christmas so not a lot of things were open nearby, we did make a trip to the nearby golf course to see all the eagles. As mentioned by others, the cabin is right by the train track and the trains come by almost hourly. It didn't bother us at all. Would definitely come back and stay again, maybe for a summer trip next time!

BEAUTIFUL. This country home was perfect for our family gathering. The children were free to run and play. The hosts were so lovely and welcoming. Definitely going again.

Wonderful suite on the lower level of a character house in East Van. Quick, kind communication.. clean thoughtful space, beautiful little patio zone.. super close to everything on Commercial Drive and just down the road from a fantastic park (open green space, community gardens, tennis courts with views of the mountains!) Mieke was kind to let me check out late as they didn’t have someone arriving today which made my travel much smoother. I’d stay again in a heartbeat. You can hear the family upstairs from time to time but even less than I expected. Bed seemed very new - firm but comfy - having laundry is always a bonus. Loved it all. Thanks!

Virpi is a helpful, responsive, and accommodating host. We appreciated that the unit is well stocked (lots of extra blankets, enough dishes, laundry detergent that we could use, etc). It's worth noting for us because we are a family of five and have stayed in too many places where this isn't the case! The unit was simple and clean and a great affordable option in the area.

We had a wonderful stay at Devina and Viv's and highly recommend their place! It's in a convenient location that is close to easy transit, great coffee shops, restaurants, and markets. We particularly enjoyed the little 'extras' in the place that made us feel especially welcome. From the fruit on the table and beverages in the fridge (we brought our own but it was a nice touch) to having handy items you might not think about taking travelling (for me, it was simply scissors!) Although it is in a step-down basement suite, everything is nicely finished and decorated. I've stayed in many Vancouver suites over the years and this is not always the case with basement suites. When I need a two-bedroom place l'd definitely stay here again as would my travel partner!

Sheila’s spot was wonderful! Highly recommend. I was visiting Point Roberts for a news story and she helped provide unique sources that ended up being featured in my work. Only minor issue was internet; it worked fine generally but when using the connection to upload a large video file it couldn’t sustain and continually disconnected—a very niche issue that I resolved by using a hotspot instead. All around great place to stay and wonderful host.

A great stay in a great place. Jess was very responsive during my 2 night stay. For a place that allows dogs, the place was very very clean. And all the essentials for your stay. Felt like home. And werther’s caramels to boot !!!

Kristen’s AirBnB was amazing. We felt very comfortable, it is very spacious, stylish and well equipped. The location is perfect for people with dogs like us, with Trout Lake right outside the backyard. We really enjoyed our time :)

The place is very clean and organized. Greg was very helpful with check-in and reached out to see if there was anything we needed before and upon arrival. Great host. Very nice unit with an incredible deck and view. Overall great experience.

We really appreciate Darren's home! It is tucked away by a creek and the area is very peaceful. Inside is immaculate and it was wonderful to come "home" there each evening. We really appreciate that they skipped a cleaning fee and were more than happy to pick up after ourselves in order to have that. Certainly want to stay here again; we felt cared for and appreciated.

Everything was exactly as pictured. Had a good stay and the staff was very friendly. Short push to sit in a meeting for timeshares but they were fine with me saying no thanks. Overall good stay.

Jeanne is a wonderful host, she's very responsive and works to resolve any issues quickly. Her unit is nice and close to the pool, you have mostly everything you need and the LBHR is a fantastic place to stay with a great pool and playground. And of course the lake is close too.
