Barn vacation rentals in Aare

We enjoyed being in the heart of this valley in a good place to live. Sophie is very attentive and André produces a good sourdough bread and pies that we tasted with the fondues. We would highly recommend this place that can accommodate a family.

Great Family Living! The apartment was very spacious and clean, it was equipped with everything you need to accommodate 10 guests in complete comfort. The common areas and rooms were spacious and pleasant to spend time together. The house, which is surrounded by greenery, offers a fantastic view and Sandra was very present for communication.

We were there a week with a two day snow storm with plenty of wood for the cozy wood stove. A nice 10 minute walk to the Nordic trails and a handy Volg store nearby! The building (mazot)was so charming and so old on the outside from times long ago. The inside was modern comfort.

The property is a very lovingly renovated cottage from an old barn as it is typical of the Lötschental. The pictures give a good impression of it. Bright and very spacious and equipped with everything you need. There were only two of us, but there are also enough of everything (e.g. dishes, cutlery, space). Bakery and pub (village cellar) are close by. We did not meet Ole and Silvia in person, but communication was always quick and hassle-free and the self-check-in via the key box was comfortable because we could not accurately determine our arrival time in advance. With the guest card, which is valid for every day booked, you get great discounts (e.g. bus, gondola, museum, mini golf for free). Also recommended are the audio tours in the villages. We were particularly pleased with the personal welcome:-)

Rosa is an amazing host. The property and the surrounding village is beautiful and peaceful while a 15 minute drive to Villars. Also, the kitchen was the nicest and most well-stocked of any rental property I've ever used. Thank you!

It is perfect for a family. The place is very nice and has everything you need. The location is very good to be able to visit Alsace, we even visited Switzerland. Christophe was very nice to us. We loved it. Thank you very much!

Exceptional stay in central Switzerland in a location with the most breath taking views. We were lucky enough to have snow for Christmas and Doris, Gery and their boys went out of their way to ensure we know all that the surrounding area had to offer. They even showed us a spot only locals would know about with absolutely stunning views of the pre-Alps. The house is beautifully renovated and decorated and there is literally nothing that they did not think of. You need not bring anything except food, everything elae was taken care of. Thank you Doris and Gery for a week that will stay woth us for a very long time.

Family stay particularly appreciated. Warmness, serenity , calm and amazing views are at the rendezvous. The choices of materials and decor are a real plus that make the stay at the cottage even more enjoyable. Heating from wood is an ultimate kiff! Thank you for this mountain break! The place is unique, modern, with plenty of space and a cozy atmosphere. Nature and views are wonderful. Nadja and her family were very helpful, trusting and straightforward. We enjoyed our time there and highly recommend the accommodation!

We really enjoyed our stay as Gasard’s place. It was spacious, decor was on point, 2 bath rooms meant our family of 5 didn’t have to wait for one another.

Sarah was an amazing host; always responsive, friendly, and gave a great list of recommendations. She picked us up and dropped us off at the train station, and her place was even better in person. It was cozy, clean, had more than enough room for me and my 6 friends, and was overall the best airbnb I’ve stayed at.

We loved staying at Elena’s place in Altstetten. It is a beautiful apartment in a great location and Elena was very communicative.

A fantastic chalet, immaculate inside and out. The owner was engaging from the point of entry and responded immediately when we encountered a minor issue. Despite being out the country on holiday, he resolved the issue without delay. 5 star property with a 5 star host.

A beautiful, large house and very tastefully furnished. But the terrace was our absolute highlight! Even in the rain you can linger outside. However, the house is not very suitable for holidays without a car. The post bus stops right in front of the house, but it only runs on weekdays, three times in the morning, once at noon and once in the evening. Sylvain and his family are very attentive and generous hosts. Warm thanks for your trust🌞!

Completely original apartment in the basement in an old converted barn. A small living room (a little dark), 2 bedrooms and bathroom are available for your own use. You can also use the kitchen v Sébastien. We enjoyed it very much, especially at breakfast, Sébastien responds to the wishes of the guests. Since the ceiling height or doors are original attention for taller people. ;-) Our son especially liked the pool There are 2 cats, 1 dog , 2 rabbits. All animals are very sweet. We will be happy to come back!

We very much enjoyed our stay in Chateau d‘Oex. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen quite well equipped. Sarah was also very responsive and provided some good tips on what to do in the area.
